Razer BlackShark V3 - best value for PC‑focused, competitive gaming. HyperX Cloud Alpha (wired) - another good option Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 (wireless) - low latency, long battery life Corsair HS55 Stereo (wired) - cheaper option

Razer BlackShark V3 good there (also had update for microphone and sound great). You got a good pair so you enjoy it, just get some wicked cushions if you do t have it already, it really gives that extra comfort. Fractal is an odd one out as it is one I would use over Audeze most of the time and same I could say with nova pro. The price is just insane, so my top 3 ones are in gaming category fractal, Razer V3 pro and the SS elite but with extra cushions, Audeze as a 4th and the Astro 5th. I would stick with top 3 ones here personally and your elite looks nice too, looks better go out listen too music as example. Audeze overrated I think but like I say we are individuals, ain’t a number 1 or 2 for me.

I tried Razer BlackShark v3 , Steelseries Nova 7 , Logitech pro 2 and Hyperx cloud 3s . Sound quality wise the cloud 3s is better by a big margin from all of them and they are much better in build quality too.

V3 is somehow worse than V2 2023. But blacksharks in general are pretty good, at least in their category (I would even say among the best). Ofc you can't compare sound quality to audiophile ones, but you can try playing with the equaliser.

If it were me I’d go to eBay and get a set of the wired nova pros or the wireless pros , with a warranty and then buy a set of wicked cushion ear pads and headband . Second option would be a set of razor black shark 2 wired headphones, for 100$ or buy the newer wireless model I believe the v 3 is 160$ and the v4 is 200$ . That my op I’ve had the nova pros for awhile now as a remote guy and they are my go to with the cushions , I still need to upgrade the headband though only thing I haven’t done. Edit : I bought my nova pro used on eBay with the warranty and warranties them when they had an issue . Got a second set and they have been solid

He's spot on about GadgetryTech. He and Badseed Tech are the best youtubers for gaming headsets. The Maxwell are one of the best closed back gaming headsets in terms of sound quality. If you already have a dedicated mic and are looking for something more compeditive fps focused, either the Arctis Nova 7 or the Blackshark V3 are great choices as well.

I'm primarily talking about performance, but you also could get a great wireless set of cans for way cheaper too. The Maxwell is divisive but nobody can speak ill of it's sheer audio performance. The A50x is a huge step up from previous versions and has one of the best mics on it. The Fractal Scape came out of the blue and shocked a lot of people with how good it is in performance and features, and even the Blackshark V3 is hitting some good marks. The wild thing is you could buy a combination of 2 of the mentioned headsets for 1 Nova Elite. Thats... something. My point is, from a performance standpoint, you can do more with less. And from a convenience standpoint, well...same?

Yeah, I've heard the mic tests on some channels and I think I heard better samples from the Blackshark V3 and the A50x. I know it has some EQ settings but for $600 it should be the best at everything, out the box. But, it does sound like it's sound signature is appealing to you and hitting some good marks. I have had to do some mods to my Maxwell for better comfort, but they are really nice after upgraded pads and a headband swap. I tend to lean more towards a wider soundstage, which is why I tend to prefer openbacks, but switch to IEMs when I need to get mildly sweaty.

Can't say for gen 1, but on the latest it's comparable to the previous gen 2 Blacksharks.
