I would really recommend this, the 3D sound quality, the mic quality it's so so good. Using from past 4 months now https://amzn.to/4qijkIR
Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED is on sale right now from around $80 to like $50 on logitech's own website. Corsair Void v2 is on sale for $80 on amazon right now. HyperX Cloud 3 is a strong competitor but at a little higher price point around $100 as well as the Razer Blackshark V3 X which was same price last time I looked. I have used all of these brands but not every model I listed. I currently am on like year 4 or 5 of using the HyperX Cloud II and I love them. Zero issues ever, comfortable, and good sound quality input/output.
If it were me I’d go to eBay and get a set of the wired nova pros or the wireless pros , with a warranty and then buy a set of wicked cushion ear pads and headband . Second option would be a set of razor black shark 2 wired headphones, for 100$ or buy the newer wireless model I believe the v 3 is 160$ and the v4 is 200$ . That my op I’ve had the nova pros for awhile now as a remote guy and they are my go to with the cushions , I still need to upgrade the headband though only thing I haven’t done. Edit : I bought my nova pro used on eBay with the warranty and warranties them when they had an issue . Got a second set and they have been solid
check out the razer wireless blackshark series, i got a hyperspeed from them and the microphone is impressively clear compared to other wireless headsets
It's an extremely common issue with this particular headset with the exact same point of failure.
Again, this particular headset only. The 2023 and up black sharks. They cheaped out on the side hinges. I've seen the same posts for the last 2 years.
I used to use wired audiophile headphones for gaming but over time I just stuck with gaming headphones for the convenience. I've had my razer black sharks for years now and I'd just rather have headphones that are wireless with a built in mic. They also don't really sound bad aside from the exaggerated bass I just tuned. Gaming headphones used to be a LOT worse before 2020.
I have this headset as do a few friends.Bought in 2023 still not a single issue.Absolutely love mine.I bend mine a good bit to keep pressure balanced on my left ear.I bent it ALOT when I first got it...no issues. You either got a lemon or were to rough.Either way no need to be so dramatic and declare all their headsets bad.
I am a razer fanboy, and I have been for like half of my life They unfortunately have a horrible tradeoff of “good audio for the price but they will break” or “constructed like a tank but don’t sound great” I love the default audio balancing on their kraken series but they’re completely constructed with plastic, and usually the band fails or the ear swivel breaks. The black sharks are a little bulky, they may clamp your noggin a little too hard and they sound fine at best for the wireless version (I haven’t tried the wired), I didn’t like them because it was great for games, not so much for hearing your friends. I believe the mic on that one is okay but it’s a wireless mic so it’s going to be a little bad. I haven’t tried that audio technica headset specifically, but I have one that’s a step up or two that’s really nice, but they don’t have a microphone like you want. I think if you’re looking for wired with a mic, on a budget, steelseries choices in your budget, or thehyper x clouds are a good starting point. My wireless headset with a mic of choice is currently the “Fractal Scape”, but they’re about $200 on Amazon. They have great default balancing, a 2.5gz and Bluetooth mode so you can use them on your pc, then seamlessly your phone or switch, and the microphone on it is decent. I love razer but there will be compromises, that’s your warning!
I just contacted support for mine. Mine are just over a year old and the hinge started to dig into my head...decided to unscrew the one hinge and it just all crumbled and fell apart https://preview.redd.it/qnv8fovl0puf1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9eb9260fa64a127df9150696d81113b2e3a9bc4a
