Using Razer kraken 7.1 since 2021. It has a cold gel ear cushion & mostly I use it for long sessions because of gaming & sound enhancement. Except the leather everything is pretty fine & still works perfectly. I don't know much about Logitech but you can go with the hyperx series if it comes under 5k. The only downside is it doesn't have a retractable mic ( cloud stinger x ) which can be pretty annoying if you want a clean headphone look Sennheiser hd400s is under 5k now. It has a pretty decent sound range also, So you can check that out too.
I had a Razer Nari still in the box catching rays in my closet when my Kraken 7.2 pooped the bed and have been using that. I’ve had a lot of dropped audio and crackling despite the USB dongle being a solid 4 ft or less from the headphones. The fix for some of those issues is kind of nebulous but I should probably do my due diligence before searching for alternatives. As an aside, if I get an alert of low battery on the Razer set I switch to my Bluetooth Beats and it’s all good.
Personally i recommend 7.1 surround headsets. But not virtual ones. For example i used razer chroma 7.1 for years. I can recommend that one but razer usually has hardware issues
I like the razer wired kraken with the mic that lights up when it is muted.
I love the wired razor series I’ve had a few and friends often comment how crisp and clean mine sounds and never have to recharge. Meanwhile in big gaming sessions they have to talk through their remote because their headset dies
Honestly I have no idea what any of the ones I’ve ever had were. But both have lasted me over 5 years. Who comes up with the naming of them anyway. Kraken I believe is my current one
I have razer kraken wired version bc tbh I can't hear the difference between something like that and the audiophile headphones. I turned off the bass boost and it sounds great to me for what I need it for - game audio and being in voice with my friends - and I like a built in mic instead of a desktop stand mic. Background isolation seems good as it doesn't transmit my bf talking in the same room. Comfy enough to wear for 8 hours at a time also, but I dont wear glasses so if you do can't vouch for that.
If you want it to work on both, you'll need a wired one. Xbox has its on proprietary wireless connection and the PS5 ones just use a 2.5 GHZ dongle. Both the Kraken and BlackShark come in wired versions. The Kiara might also, but I think the Kiara is the less expensive model. I found the BlackShark to be more comfortable as the Kraken is kind of heavy, but the Kraken sounds better to me.
I am a razer fanboy, and I have been for like half of my life They unfortunately have a horrible tradeoff of “good audio for the price but they will break” or “constructed like a tank but don’t sound great” I love the default audio balancing on their kraken series but they’re completely constructed with plastic, and usually the band fails or the ear swivel breaks. The black sharks are a little bulky, they may clamp your noggin a little too hard and they sound fine at best for the wireless version (I haven’t tried the wired), I didn’t like them because it was great for games, not so much for hearing your friends. I believe the mic on that one is okay but it’s a wireless mic so it’s going to be a little bad. I haven’t tried that audio technica headset specifically, but I have one that’s a step up or two that’s really nice, but they don’t have a microphone like you want. I think if you’re looking for wired with a mic, on a budget, steelseries choices in your budget, or thehyper x clouds are a good starting point. My wireless headset with a mic of choice is currently the “Fractal Scape”, but they’re about $200 on Amazon. They have great default balancing, a 2.5gz and Bluetooth mode so you can use them on your pc, then seamlessly your phone or switch, and the microphone on it is decent. I love razer but there will be compromises, that’s your warning!
I used razer kraken for years and was pretty happy with them, very comfy too However if you want really good audio get some seinheissers and a separate mic for chatting, non gaming headphones are way better quality and value for money, but often don't have a microphone
I always use Razer Kraken, last me years
