Not to dismiss the fact others very definitely have problems, but I had the OG Krakens with the kitty ear attachments for \~5 or so years. They were wonderful. 10/10 experience. They still work, but the mic wasn't fabulous and the paint had chipped. I bought the 'new' Kitty Krakens and they were horrific. Very small, made of plastic, very bad sound quality, ear cups were rock solid and gave me a headache. When I went to return them (Amazon), I spotted a sealed pair of the original RGB Kitty Krakens available. Hard to find, but they were my dream and I was happy to gamble. I am smitten. Even better sound quality than the OG Krakens, very lightweight, sized correctly and very adjustable. I have no problems with this headset \~4 months in. With these in particular (the wired version) I saw a lot of complaints about audio cutting out - I'm 95% sure in at least a good chunk of these cases, it's because the headset isn't getting enough power. I experienced the same problem with my headset plugged into a USB extender with other USBs in. Swapping it over to a main port fixed the issue. Just my experience with the original range of Razer headsets - avoid the new ones at all costs!!
r/GirlGamers • Looking for Cat Ear Headphones Recommendations!! ->I have the wired Razer Kraken Kitty's, and I love em. Great quality in terms of audio (in and out) and durability (I've definitely caught the cord on my chair and pulled em off my desk and onto the floor a couple times)
r/GirlGamers • Looking for Cat Ear Headphones Recommendations!! ->I have the wired razer kraken kitty and LOVE them. Maybe it’s the wireless? I have zero issues with mine.
r/GirlGamers • Looking for Cat Ear Headphones Recommendations!! ->I used the wired pink Razer Kraken headphones with the ears attachment for years and was sooo happy with them - until my fat potato of a cat decided that the cable looked tasty. After that, I only had sound in one ear, and they had to be retired. I tried the Bluetooth version, but I was NOT happy with them - they were a lot tighter on the sides of my head, and the sound quality was very poor in comparison to my original pair, so they were promptly returned. So, while I guess I can’t make a recommendation for a pink set (I’m currently using the Logitech Aurora headphones and am very happy with them, but they are white and sadly lack any kitty ears options! 😭), I’m making an *anti*-recommendation and suggesting you stay away from anything Razer that uses Bluetooth. They’re just not worth it, even if they’re pretty!
r/GirlGamers • Best wireless and Bluetooth headset for a newbie gaming girl? Budget listed below 😇 ->I have the Razer Kraken Kitty (wired) and while I didn’t have any particular problems with the sound or the microphone, the faux leather is very low quality. It started peeling off after six months of use (more or less). The headset is not cheap, so Razer should’ve done better. I guess I am deinfluencing you with this comment, but it’s better to know what to expect 😅
r/GirlGamers • Looking for Cat Ear Headphones Recommendations!! ->While I don’t have the Razer blackshark, I did have the Kraken at one point. It was pretty decent in terms of mic quality and sound quality but I’ve been told that it’s mediocre in terms of price. I only got the Kraken for the cat ears so I can’t complain
r/GirlGamers • Debating between gaming headsets ->Mine are razer! They’re the kraken kitty ones, they were around 90$
r/GirlGamers • Looking for Cat Ear Headphones Recommendations!! ->Currently, I use the Razer Kraken V4. It's wireless with either 2.4 Ghz USB-C dongle or Bluetooth. it can also be used with a wired connection, which simultaneously charges it. There is a cheaper option in Razer Kraken V4X, which is a solely wired version. I've both headsets and have had no issues with either. I also quite like the Blackshark V2 Pro. The mic is noticeably better on the Blackshark vs the Krakens, in my experience. However, the mic on the Krakens I own is retractable, which is a big selling point for me. My first ever headset was the Razer Kitty Kraken. Honestly loved it to bits, especially customising the cat ears' RGB, so I can also recommend it if you want something cute. It comes in black, white and pink versions. I'm not sure if the other Razer headsets do, but I absolutely know for certain the Kitty Kraken does! In the past, I've also used Steelseries Arctis 1 and Arctis 5. Both were serviceable, but I feel as though the audio was tinny. The only reason I bring these up two up is because Razer products can be quite expensive, and Steelseries options are affordable whilst still offering similar features (wireless, wired, Bluetooth, detachable and/or retractable mic, etc...) whilst being cheaper. They are also much lighter on ear/in general compared to the Razer headsets. Hope this helps! Would love to know what you go for!
r/GirlGamers • What headset would you recommend? ->I used razer kraken for years and was pretty happy with them, very comfy too However if you want really good audio get some seinheissers and a separate mic for chatting, non gaming headphones are way better quality and value for money, but often don't have a microphone
r/gamers • What brand of gaming headset is the best? ->I always use Razer Kraken, last me years
r/Gamer • gaming headset under £50 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
