Kraken V4 Wireless. Headset is great, but the mic sounds very tinny/compressed - like you’re in a tunnel. Following for recommendations.
Razer Kraken V4 Wireless. They do wired usb-c, 2.4ghz, or BT. They are comfortable for hours with or without glasses and they sound amazing. I wear them every day for hours at a time. Also been told the mic is very clear.
I took care of my razor kraken v4 as best I could and they still broke exactly like this. I am Now a huge fan of Beyerdynamic. Seriously I’m not buy razor products again even the mouse scroll wheel doesn’t work after a year
I'm not a serious advocator for the blackshark but i got the kraken v4's and theyre terrible. I had to buy a separate program from their website that was already built in with the previous model of krakens i had. Just bought a pair of IEMS for less than 50 dollars that have a much better quality to them and I don't plan on buying anything else from razer unless its a mouse. I like their deathadders a lot but even then they completely updated the shell so I didnt end of getting the latest model and settled with a G-Wolves mouse instead.
Currently, I use the Razer Kraken V4. It's wireless with either 2.4 Ghz USB-C dongle or Bluetooth. it can also be used with a wired connection, which simultaneously charges it. There is a cheaper option in Razer Kraken V4X, which is a solely wired version. I've both headsets and have had no issues with either. I also quite like the Blackshark V2 Pro. The mic is noticeably better on the Blackshark vs the Krakens, in my experience. However, the mic on the Krakens I own is retractable, which is a big selling point for me. My first ever headset was the Razer Kitty Kraken. Honestly loved it to bits, especially customising the cat ears' RGB, so I can also recommend it if you want something cute. It comes in black, white and pink versions. I'm not sure if the other Razer headsets do, but I absolutely know for certain the Kitty Kraken does! In the past, I've also used Steelseries Arctis 1 and Arctis 5. Both were serviceable, but I feel as though the audio was tinny. The only reason I bring these up two up is because Razer products can be quite expensive, and Steelseries options are affordable whilst still offering similar features (wireless, wired, Bluetooth, detachable and/or retractable mic, etc...) whilst being cheaper. They are also much lighter on ear/in general compared to the Razer headsets. Hope this helps! Would love to know what you go for!
I am a razer fanboy, and I have been for like half of my life They unfortunately have a horrible tradeoff of “good audio for the price but they will break” or “constructed like a tank but don’t sound great” I love the default audio balancing on their kraken series but they’re completely constructed with plastic, and usually the band fails or the ear swivel breaks. The black sharks are a little bulky, they may clamp your noggin a little too hard and they sound fine at best for the wireless version (I haven’t tried the wired), I didn’t like them because it was great for games, not so much for hearing your friends. I believe the mic on that one is okay but it’s a wireless mic so it’s going to be a little bad. I haven’t tried that audio technica headset specifically, but I have one that’s a step up or two that’s really nice, but they don’t have a microphone like you want. I think if you’re looking for wired with a mic, on a budget, steelseries choices in your budget, or thehyper x clouds are a good starting point. My wireless headset with a mic of choice is currently the “Fractal Scape”, but they’re about $200 on Amazon. They have great default balancing, a 2.5gz and Bluetooth mode so you can use them on your pc, then seamlessly your phone or switch, and the microphone on it is decent. I love razer but there will be compromises, that’s your warning!
I always use Razer Kraken, last me years
None of em. All overpriced. I have Razer Kraken for like half the price.
