Sony / PlayStation - H9

This. I love my first gen H9’s, but it baffles me that volume control from the Edge controller doesn’t work with them. Especially since the volume buttons on the headset are purely digital, and control the console volume settings. Sony has dropped the ball in general when it comes to controlling headphones from the controllers. Too many headsets don’t work with the mute button either. I’m aware that some headsets like the H9 have a mic arm you need to lower, but there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to mute the mic independently of how the mic is positioned.

I have the first gen H9 headset. All of the buttons function seamlessly with the PS5

I’ve been using these for a a few years now. Absolutely fantastic headset. Just checked what I paid for them back then and the price has gone up $50! I see they are on Gen 2 now. They look more cheaply built compared to the first gen.

Not good at all. I've had the Inzone H9 (previous model) for a while now and I loved how you can turn the chat/game volume up and down on the headset. Also, loved how when you turned those on, it automatically switches the sound from my monitor to the headset and when I turn them off, it switches back to the monitor. I don't have to unmute the button on the PS5 controller (I set to turn to mute when turning on the ps5). With the new headset (H9 ii), the sounds doesn't switch back and forth from the monitor to the headset automatically. I have to manually do it. I also have to unmute on my controller. When I use the mute button on the headset, it doesn't show the mute button and play a sound on my PS5. The chat/game volume doesn't work on the PS5. It works on PC. You cannot see the volume level on your screen either. Seems like these are made for PC primarily. It says PS5 on the box but unless I'm doing something wrong, none of the stuff works correctly. I even exchanged the headset thinking something was wrong with it. Sound quality is AMAZING. I guess the microphone is excellent as well. If I'm doing something wrong, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

I have the Sony Inzone H9 headset. I like it a lot, it's super comfortable to wear and sound is great. Zero connection issues, which I did have with the Pulse Explore earbuds. Would definitely recommend

I’ve taken care of my pulse headset, never dropped once, and it snapped literally in the exact same spot. I bought the Sony Inzone H9 wireless headset and I love them. Really pricey as of right now. However I bought them for 50% off during the cyber sale in November. They are worth it and recommend to wait for the sale if you’re still looking for a headset.

The one that’s kept me happy is the Sony INZONE H9.

I went through the same search when I wanted something immersive and comfortable for PS5. The one that really clicked for me was the Sony Inzone H9

The sony inzone H9 are on sale on amazon for $198 rn . Amazing headset for any game you might come across. If you play on ps5 its even better but it has great sound so itll be just great on any platform. 300 dollar headset with 100 off is a great dieal rn.

Sony InZone H9. Tried them all Bluetooth and Wired. Good bass, mid and highs. Can connect a couple devices at once. Playing a game you can also have your phone connected. Range is very good. For an out of box solution just plug in the usb dongle and you are good to go. FYI. Everyone will recommend Astros or Arctic even HyperX. They lack bass and land in the “Tinny” sound. Granted if you like wired, get the HyperX Cloud 2’s with a amp. You’ll need a converter for the PS5. That had booming bass. Loved it. But I wanted to go wireless and the H9’s are awesome. Original H9’s have dropped to $150 because they just came out with the H9 II which are $350. I have the original.
