I find the 3p detachable mic to be so intrusive id settle for the nova 5 honestly could go for 2 days straight heavy use (im talking like 48 hours battery life speaking from experience) without charging and you barely notice the mic it has and the mics great too has an option for 2.4 and bluetooth pairing too. Little to no downsides but ye steelseries has been a solid brand for me i had a arctis 3 that lasted me for 6 years just replacing the wires it needs until the mic finally gabe out
30 bucks? Yes, those are good
Top (3.5mm wired, work with PS5 controller, laptop & PC) HyperX Cloud Alpha.... comfy, great mic for the price, sturdy. Good all-rounder. SteelSeries Arctis 3.... balanced sound, clear mic, lightweight and comfy for long sessions. Sennheiser Game One / GSP 300... best mic clarity of the bunch, very comfy, sounds great. Logitech G Pro (with 3.5mm cable) ... esports-grade, very clear voice and comfy fit.
I’ve had my arctis3 for 5 years and they’re still going strong. My buddy has broken 2 Pulse Elites in that time. Steel series is some good quality hardware. The arctis can plug into your controller, AND connect to your phone via Bluetooth simultaneously. My model is the basic 3rd gen and I love it still. I’d say go for the $189 pair. If you’ve got room to ball, go for the $249.
My biggest peeve with the steel series 3 that I have, I have to disconnect/reconnect the dongle every single time or the mic doesn’t work. I’d hope this set doesn’t suffer that fate.
Recently got the Arctis Nova 7 for €130, very happy with them. Had the Arctis 3 since 2018, they still work fine but wanted to upgrade to wireless. I’d advice against the Arctis Nova Pro because the earshells are leather which can become sweaty after long sessions
