Not sure about that buddy. But 7P+ is using a USB-C dongle which works on my Mac too.

Agree, I'm on arctis 7p+. Compared to pulse elites (which you could imagine be "the best" for ps5). Arctis is comfortable, metal structure mostly, zero connection issues, low profile usb c dongle that you can put in front side of your ps5. Pulse elite is opposite in all these, garbage. Only downside is having to adjust EQ through pc but that's nothing compared to what else you get.

What did you get? I got 7p+ and love it. Tried pulse elite because adjusting EQ through PS5 but wasn't worth it. Just returned them after 1 day 😂 they just crackled and disconnected like 5 times per hour. My steelseries haven't done those even once and I've used them much longer.

I have a Steelseries Arctis 7p+ headset that I've been using for like 4 years and I love it. Mostly just use it on my PS5 but it has a 2.4ghz dongle plus you can use an aux cord if you want. Super comfortable too.

I wish they would just raise the sidetone and id buy it back in an instant, but i carry on with the old Arctis 7P+ because the sidetone is excellent. Strange that the headset are from the same manufacturer but their settings, volumes and features are wildly different between models and ranges.

Sidetone is not delayed, it’s realtime. I’d never use it if it were delayed. On the 7P+, I speak and hear myself like I have no headphones covering my ears. If you’ve used sidetone where it echoes or it’s delayed, then you’re doing something wrong.

I’ve used a couple of wireless headsets for my PS5, and the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ has been a solid pick for both audio quality and comfort. The sound is great, and it connects easily with the PS5. I really like the clear mic for streaming too.

I use arctis 7p+, and they’re good for the price, but I would honestly rather wear my AirPods. It makes me so angry that Sony refuses to allow us to connect Bluetooth headphones. No, I don’t want your mediocre headphones l that use your anti consumer proprietary tech.

I avoided them for years bc I thought they would be useless for me. I gave in and bought the wireless xbox headset for my series x out of curiosity and I loved it so much that I ended up buying the 3d pulse for ps5. Thought they were pretty cheap sounding/feeling, so I went with steelseries p7+ and they've been great. Xbox cans are my favorite bc they have a good amount of low end and the dials are so easy to use. I also bought the starfield variant as a backup. I have a fully discreet atmos setup that set me back a few grand, but sometimes the closeness of the cans are better bc they can be more immersive.

I never had this issue and enjoyed mine...until it stopped charging after only a few years. Think the micro USB port connection just broke or something. So now I'm fairly annoyed at having spent that much on something I can't use anymore because it just won't charge

Very bad headset, my friends can hear my AC & other background noises with this one The official App isn't supported on PS5 even though its advertised as PS5 Headset. If you plan on playing with friends, don't buy this one

SteelSeries is my vote too! I have one like 4 years now and works perfectly. After maybe 2 or 3 years I needed to replace the earpads because it started to disintegrate. I just brought one on temu, glued it and it's like a new one.

Also after testing both arctic 7p+ and razer blackshark v2 pro, the mic is much better on the razer headset after you customize it in windows. If you care for a mic. Gadgetrytech on YouTube has great reviews. Cheers and hope you find what you like.

I've been looking into a buds option. I have the steelseries 7p. And own some jabra elite 8 active, and love them for comfort and sound quality. While researching found out jabra bought arctis in 2021 and there the similarity of designs. Read some reviews that on ps5 the audio is low. Has this been fixed, or not had the issue at all?

I used the original Playstation Pulse for the last couple years and they were awesome for Siege. Felt like I could hear footsteps and knew exactly where they were coming from. They were starting to breakdown a bit and decided it was time for a new pair. Curiosity got to me and I ended up buying the Steelseries Arctis 7p's which I heard were top notch. You have to download software to get these dialed in to be able to hear what you want to hear. Been a bit of a pain in the ass. Kind of wish I would have just gone with the Playstation Pulse Elites. Grass isn't always greener! If anyone else is using the 7p's and has a good EQ setting for Siege, please let me know!

Dang, the inzone H5 is on sale right now and would recommend but not quite under $100. Same for Steel series 7p, on sale but still barely over budget. If you can come up with the extra $20-30 I’d say make the leap because the next option under $100 is going to be Turtle beach or something similar and not great. If you are ok with wired the H3 is available right now under budget. Maybe be look for used.

I own the Arctic Nova 7p+ it’s a fantastic headset. It’s good in pretty much every way but the thing that really stands out to me about the headset is it’s just so damn comfortable. I have never had a headset I can wear for 10 hours and my ears still be comfortable besides these. I highly recommend and yes the battery life is really good on them, if I had to guess they last me around 10-15 hours on a single charge

Wireless the way to go. I have a wired Razer Kraken 3 which has good sound and comfort but not so much a quality build. Headband snapped, wire wore out, pleather wearing out. Good thing I got it as a gift. +1 for any Steel Series Arctis wireless as well. I ended up buying cheap $30 wireless from Amazon which works fine but not the same as a headset that has software to go with it. Even with Razer Kraken, the sound quality is better if you have a Dolby Atmos license (~$10?) for the virtual surround sound enhancements vs the Windows Sonic which is built into Windows.

The Arctis ones do it with a cool little dedicated box where you can also control other things. I had some years ago and it was a very handy feature...though yes, windows now does much better, channel-based volume control. Still not as cool as a dial on a box though :)

steelseries arctis are as good as it gets for me. I've tested every major headset over the last year and they've been the best sounding and by far most comfortable. they suffer from some software issues when using in pc but outside of that i will be sticking with steelseries offeringsbfor the foreseeable future

I’d look into a hyperx headset. Those usually are good quality and last quite a while. I haven’t found one I’m not a fan of but I’m also not an enthusiast although I currently bounce between the alpha and a Steelseries arctis headset.

Just got these. I can recommend them. Not tested mic yet. As for comfort: I have a large head, and am finding the clamping a bit tight however, and the earcups just fit around my ears - it's a bit snug. Nothing bad, per se, but not quite in the super comfort zone of some other headphones. They'd be fine for gaming sessions, but not something I'd want to wear all day. I'd have preferred a bit more of a relaxed fit. On the other hand, a relaxed fit means very big headphone that can turn some people off.

Having owned the arctis, and now just picked up the Scape, I can tell you that it's in a different league to the Arctis. It's very good. Not quite as good as my high end audiophile headphones, but very, very good compared to most gaming headsets. I'd rate them in the same class as the Audeze maxwell. Happy to listen to music on them. Excellent controls too. And very nice looking in person. I have a large head, and am finding the clamping a bit tight however, and the earcups just fit around my ears - it's a bit snug. Nothing bad, per se, but not quite in the super comfort zone of some other headphones.

What headset you recommend? Currently have a hypercloud 2 and it´s breaking down as I´ve got it for 8 years now lol, bought the hypercloud 3 and it´s whack, literally feeling pressure on my ears and the microphone is bad. Tried arctic steelseries and even that one felt like pressure on my ears.

Audeze Maxwell - Considered one of the best wireless gaming headsets. Popular with music creators as well as for gaming. Mic is reasonably good, though can clip a little. Comes with leather earpads, but they can be replaced easily. Drop + EPOS PC38X - One of the best wired gaming headsets for sound clarity and mic quality. Bass reproduction is a bit muted, which is common for older style EPOS / Sennheiser headsets, and common with open back headphones in general. The mic is essentially the best of any consumer headset you can buy. Generally can only be bought directly from Drop's site. Comes with both cloth and velour earpads. [https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset](https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset) Steel Series Arctis headsets are generally a decent middle ground in terms of decent bass and mic quality. The overall audio quality isn't as good as either the Maxwell or PC38X, but they're closed back so their bass response is more like the Maxwell. And the mic quality is generally better than the Maxwell, but no where near as good as the PC38X. Most (maybe all?) use cloth earpads. Nova Pro Wireless and Nova 9 are both quite good, with the Nova 9 being slightly better in terms of audio clarity and mic quality, but the Pro Wireless has better bass and noise cancelling.
