I have one. It sucks.
They always drop Connection even with the dongle. The settings reset randomly. The software creates 3 drivers “gaming/media/chat” which gets confused with games Games change the settings. Have to turn this off Maybe it’s more the sonar software that is just crap But the dongle doesn’t seem to work without it. I tried using direct Bluetooth and there was a delay. So I ended up hardwiring it with the usb c extension cable I have had to manually reset it many times. Which requires you to take off the ear padding, find a tiny hole that only a needle (not a paper clip) fit in, to press a button that resets everything
I honestly am SO happy with my steel series Arctic Nova 4 Good range Clear sound Noise canceling mic is awesome
Steel series nova 4 - have no issues with my glasses!
Audio differences between the Nova and the 7P+ are minimal. I owned the 7P+ before I upgraded to the nova and let me tell you the two major points that I noticed were better. 1: The fabric headband that the 7P+ uses gets stretched out over time and needs replacing, whereas on the Nova you can buy rubber ones and you won’t have the same issue. 2: The Novas support simultaneous 2.4 ghz and Bluetooth connections. So you can have it connected to both a PS5 and a phone and hear audio from both simultaneously. There’s also the fact that with the 7P+, you have to connect it to your PC to mess with its audio settings and adjust its EQ. I’m told the Gen 2 Novas now have mobile app support. I’d go with Nova
I use the steelseries Arctic nova’s and love them
Maxwells clears easily. It’s still probably the best wireless gaming headset that exists. Only thing that can come close is the new Arctic Nova from SteelSeries which is double the price but while it has more features, SQ takes a dive.
I had major issues with nova artic at some point I couldn't even open the GG software app on my pc. Ended up returning it
Yes. Headset with amazing sound stage for 3d audio is incredibly detailed and immersive. Try a 3d audio game with any set of headphones you might have lying around. (I use an old set of fairly chunky hi-fi headphones). Buying a new headset I concur with other people who said Arctis steelseries with the 40mm "Nova" drivers. I honestly thought they would be a bit rubbish, at least a step down from the previous 50mm in bass. But wow, they're surprisingly good. I have a sort of neckband thing for VR racing, it feels like a HANS device and gives a sort of personal bubble of surround sound. It's a bit of a unique case, but I picked it up cheaply and it makes a huge difference (not isolated, not loud, and not TV speakers).
Just stay away from the shiny plastic cheap stuff and you’ll be fine. The Hyper Cloud series and Steeleries Novas are good cheap options to begin looking at.
