I have an Arctis Nova 5X and works perfectly on Linux. I paid around 200EUR.
9x, 7p, and Nova 5x.
I have the Nova 5x and would say it's just okay for single player immersive style games. With the right EQ it can be slightly better than okay. I personally prefer the Epos H6Pro (open-back version) headset i just recently got. With them being open-back it really expands upon the open world of most games and really makes it feel like you're right there in the game. It is also great for FPS games if you dabble in those as well
Gotcha. Do you have any need for a mic? You could get IEM's (in ear monitors). They can easily be plugged in to a controller if you're on console and majority of them on the market have great sound. I have [this pair](https://a.co/d/0ejQPaJb) from Amazon and for the price I am highly impressed. The only downside is the mic is sub par and most IEM's don't have any included mic. Plus side is they sound great for music as well!
If you don't need audio from phone and Xbox in the same time (you can still answer your calls) then Steelseries Arctis Nova 5X.
I'm on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X. Genuinely the best headset I've ever had. Slight pain in the ass getting it working, but otherwise they work incredibly well
I recently got the Arctis Nova 5x off Amazon for 100 (usually they are 149) and yeah the x stands for xbox but they work just fine on the PS5. Great sound, really comfortable since they are so light, and wireless just turn them on and ready to go. Plus 60 hour battery life is great. The app that they come with is great for changing EQ on the fly and it let's you know how much battery is left. If you can get it for 100 like I did its a great purchase.
