Nova pro wireless. They’ve also got extra ear cups with a cooling gel in amazon if the normal pads are a little too hot or trap too much heat. I game the majority of my day because I’m retired and can do that lol. So I have my headset on a lot. I’ve tried many many different brands and such. It also comes with 2 batteries and the dock is a charging station. You just switch them out and keep on keeping on. They also duel connect, which I love. Sound quality is top notch.
I actually ran into this a month ago. I had Astro Mixamp Pro TRs for 8 maybe more years. Best headset I’ve ever owned ( up till now), went wired because at the time I played competitive Siege and a few other shooters. Now I don’t play PvP almost at all besides RL. Anyways , after much research I got the Steel Series Arctis Nova pro wireless and I’m loving them. The base station is also a charger and it comes with two batteries so you always have a charged battery pack. They have a lot more of tuning options when used on PC , but still have a lot to offer for consoles. They can work with any console. I used to just buy parts to my Astros when they went bad, but the company sold to Logitech and they in turn stopped all support of my headset. I didn’t want to drop money on new wireless Astros even though they are highly rated and recommended. Anyways that’s my very long and unnecessary story. TLDR Arctis Nova Pro wireless
Almost all wireless headsets have crap mics. Sure there are a couple that are decent but overall if mic is that important person should go with wired. I also have nova pros and they rock
I got the steel series actis nova pro wireless and its amazing. Has a swappable battery so no charging (no downtime) and you can be connected to 2 different sources at the same time which is awesome. It frequently goes in sale to up to 50% off.
I got arctis nova pro wireless and wear them all day basically...hell I even fell asleep with them before.
Wired will always have better clarity amd quality. If you want wireless, arctis nova pros are pretty legit, has a swappable battery, and can connect to 2 different sources at once.
Bought these the other day, and boy do they hate any close 2.4g signal. So I would say it's not a great solution to use at a tv computer rig setup. 2.4g mouse and keyboard, 2.4g controller and of course WiFi in the vicinity. Tried turning off the 2.4g WiFi signal and using only 5ghz. But it didn't make a difference. Bought the audeze Maxwell to compare and those aren't having issues.
These don't sound bad, but I've had issues with the connectivity, some distortion when too many 2.4g signals in the area. If you care about the features and want something that can handle multiple sources and don't have a ton of 2.4g signals around I'd get these. If you care about sound quality, these audeze maxwell are some of the best wireless sounding headphones you can get right now, though used is about $50 more than these
Used to have these and thought the performance you got was underwhelming. This was the last headset I owned before switched over to IEMs
Think the artic nova pros are on sale for 250 right now and they are the best headset I have ever owned.
Arctic Nova pro wireless by a long shot.
Ya it's a BIFL for me. Mine came with 3 swappable batteries which should easily last several years. The base station runs off 2.4 and allows for 2 inputs, which is great for WFH. Range seems shorter than BT, though. Comfort will vary based your head shape and size but it's fine for me. The classic retractable mic and mute button are handy. I was wary of the lack of ChatMix going in, but I don't miss it. Looking back on it now, ChatMix really only created confusion.
I got the arctis nova pro wireless headset myself. I really enjoy them anyway. I paid over $300 for mine though. It has this thing where you get 2 batteries, one to be in use while the other charges. I’m on my computer all the time so I need to swap the batteries out every 3 days but that takes like 10 seconds to do
I don’t notice them being heavy, they feel very comfortable to me personally. I picked mine up at Best Buy so I guess you could go try them on for yourself if you wanted. I’d recommend them anyway or you can look up some reviews
Arctis nova pro for me
Tell me about it, payed $300 for mine, went to Best Buy again for something like a month later and they were marked down to $180. I was livid lol
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Multi-System Gaming Headset. Had the same issue, and was recommended these. Have lasted me for almost 2 years. Most likely the only headset I will ever have. Great spindle quality, Mic is amazing (according to my Skype meetings) and have a replaceable battery, so if your like me and forget to charge, this will solve it.
Had a pair for about 6 months now. Probably one of the worst purchases I've made in the last few years. Crackling issue that SteelSeries has know about for years now but hasn't done anything about it. Just take a look over at the SteelSeries subreddit, search Arctis Nova Pro's. Not worth the money or effort trying to figure out it's issues especially if the company refuses do acknowledge the problem.
Got mine recently as well ($135 2nd hand) and was running into the same issues. Returned and ordered Audeze Maxwells for $200.
