Dunno what headsets you've been using but I'm on my 3rd SteelSeries headset since I've been buying them since 2015. First pair I bought which is the Siberia v2s (iirc) are still working beautifully and I use them with my PS5 when I travel for work. My second pair is an arctis wireless pair, forget the model, but they only got replaced because I was given my current ones as a Christmas present. Zero issues ever.

I've had them about 8 months now, previously using artic 7 for the past 9 years. the only thing that has me reaching for an old pair of wired Serbia v2 that I retired 9 years ago is the half second delay when skipping YouTube or using the mic. Replacement ear pads from aliexpress are a must and the headband can be made to work but it's never going to be as comfy as the artics was without spending the $$ Coming from using [trying to] the steelseries software for the past 9 years, the audeze program isn't that bad as a basic eq and settings place (steelseries did have a very customisable eq page), eq's are stored on board and can be changed via a phone app too.

r/headphonesMy expensive gaming headset mistakes (2017–2025) ,learn from my stupidity
about 1 month ago

save you time and money: bought: logitech g433, logitech g pro 2018, steelseries siberia v2, steelseries nova pro wireless, overpriced, overadvertised obnoxious sound, not even good for competitive accurate steps and cues awareness, don't buy that overpriced crap, also g pro x 2 graphene wireless version, good for music, but not for counter strike, can't hear shit when opponent comes from very distant places

r/steelseriesI chose Steelseries as my first ever gaming headphones (happy)

Bought the exact same one a week ago. Not my first but the first in a long time. Last headset I had was the steel series Siberia and it still works. Needed a comfy wireless headset to get rid of the wires when gaming. Was surprised by the comfort and quality for 100ish. Ofc not comparable in sound quality to studio headphones with a bigger mic on a boom but for gaming it’s nice.

r/headphonesLooking for a solution to replace my Astro A50s gaming headphones
3 months ago

Your experience may vary, but I HATED the A50. Without the amplifier, they are just awful to listen to. Want a better solution? Get the BLUE mix-fi. Why? They are cheap 2nd hand, has the amplifier built into the auxiliary plug, and are one of my favorite headphones. Too expensive? Vmoda m100. You poor? KOSS sportapro You have 200 dollars? SONY mdr z7 You dont care? Steel series Siberia. You want to endgame and have amazing audiophile sound? Sennhieser HD 600 or HD650 Want a portable solution? Bose QC45 I own 57 pairs of headphones, I can do this all day.
