So from someone that has the Nova and pulse.
1. Is this for PC or PlayStation
A) if it's for PC I say Nova, first off extremely comfortable and personally I really like sonaar software to manage all my audio.
B) if it's for PlayStation I'd go pulse, mine has been amazing. I have 0 issues with quality the microphone sounds almost as good as the Rode on my PC. Headset is very comfortable and it's what u need if you want game/voice mix volume control. (unless u use discord on ps5 which has it built in but still can't use the control on the headset of the Nova even if it's the ps5 version.
2) Do you like open or closed headphones?
A) Nova is by far one of my top 5 most comfortable headsets and the ear pads breath well. Sounds good feels a little cheap but good enough I'm not worried about the.
B) Pulse are closed pleather but my Experience has been great! Longest session so far was on arc raiders where I had them on for 6 hours and my ear didn't feel hot at all, really surprised me. Pulse is also very comfortable and if you really want like the Nova you can change the ear pads. Also the charging hook the pulse comes with is a great feature.
3) How important is mic quality to you?
A) Pulse sounds amazing. If you don't pull out the mic it's meh but once u do they out a great mic in them if your in PlayStation it's by far the better choice better noise gate clarity, in every category it wins. Plus the little things like not needing to mute from the headset u can do it from the controller if u want.
B) Nova... PC this mic is ok at best. You can use sonaar and create a profile which is great and it can sound ok but I wasn't too impressed. On console the mic just blows, every sound is heard and yes you can make profiles for audio and that on Ur pc and save it to the headset but it's very limited and the noise gate is either nothing or Ur cutting out. Personally it's the only thing about the Nova I'm not a fan of.
Both my headsets were purchased this year. Haven't had an issue with either my opinion to sum it up... Ps5 go pulse, PC go Nova. 3D audio on the pulse does sound great and the compatibility is noticeable, also Nova needs to fix there USB dongle... The shape makes it a huge pain to use on console.
The PlayStation ones obviously. Only ones that hook up properly imo. Though I haven’t tried those specific other headsets, I did try like 20 other ones which all had issues connecting or staying connected
PS they don’t last very long though. Like 1-2 years. Cushions get really flat. But I played a lot so… Just a heads up. But I think $20 headsets that plug in these days tend to be as good as any of the $200 wireless ones I’ve tried and returned.
The PC version features better power delivery via USB, higher bit and sampling rates (quality), a longer cable by around 32" for the across the desk compensation. The 50" cable on the multiplatform is very comfortable for plugging into controller and won't be rolled over in a gaming chair. These sound really good using DTS-X for headphones and the jump in quality for PC is worth the $10 (just like the codec mentioned). I'm setting up Swarm II software and plan to use the noise cancelling to make gameplay comms clean and avoid the random mic buzzes (which I had using the multiplatform version through my 8bitdo pro2 wired controller). Lightweight, comfortable and easy to mute, great sound and mic performance with an optimal cable length for both versions. Fit is very adjustable but the ear cups feel large and premium, passive noise cancelling is high, low to no heat. I find the wired controller much better without the headset tethered for peace of mind when placing them down (nothing beats wireless for that) so the PC version using the USB port makes the controller regain the comfort and balance being free. 9/10 product should be on everyone's gift list this year. Turtle beach atlas 200. Takes wearing specs into account with their cushioning. I've used them for a couple months , and sometimes for hours at a time, with no problems. Cheap and comfortable with a great sound.

I have the white pair and have been quite happy with them. They have good sound quality with a decent mic, comfortable and lightweight, and support 3D audio.
