Dude, I legit have only used Turtle Beach Recon X70's for so long. 40 bucks every 3ish years is fine by me and always has been. I've very picky when it comes to how headsets feel and audio quality. I tried Astro A10's and hated them. I tried other "higher end" Turtle Beaches and hated them. I also don't have the luxury of buying high end headphones and the fact the X70's have a flip to mute mic, give good audio, feel comfortable to wear and don't give me issues until I need a new headset just makes my life so much easier.
Exactly. I'm pretty sure they can work on PC but I dont want to claim something that isnt true. I've used them ever since they released the X70's and I, unfortunately, made the mistake of thinking the Recon Sparks would be just as good. The major issue I have with the X70's is the actual band of the headset wears out. I'm a big dude and have a big head so the plastic just gives after a few years. My most recent pair of X70's broke and I went to both of the Walmarts in my town and they didn't have them in stock and so I had to go to Target and the only ones they had were these really ugly pink Recon X70's or the Recon Spark. I figured the Spark would be fine as they are essentially the X70's with some extra stuff - boy was I wrong. They honestly sound worse and aren't as comfortable lol. The metal reinforced headband is just ass. The ear pieces down slide nearly as far down and the audio quality, despite supposedly using the same drivers, sounds more muddy and muted than the X70's
Turtle Beach Recon 70's are decent, works with PS4/PS5, Xbox one and Series X/S, PC and Mobile. $39.97CAD. Would've recommended the Razer Kraken 7.1 V3 X $69.99CAD if they were older. 😅 Pretty sure this one can be used wired and disconnected to be used wireless when charged.
Even cheap options have decent sound quality Had a TB Recon 70 until the mic got damaged during a move a few years back. Worked amazing for online play and only cost me about $40.
I've been using a set from Turtlebeach for literally 9 years now, and they still work great. Just basic wired headphones, with microphone, that plug into my controller. Several inexpensive options on their website. https://www.turtlebeach.com/collections/headsets?sortKey=PRICE&reverse=false&Platform=1.Xbox&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22500622444&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9obIBhCAARIsAGHm1mT4GjBUU6FhOYwoNK8fXA8sU1GXfLNlc9MJFM9vKEJAB3yVQO5m4gwaAoVJEALw_wcB
i reckon cheap shit for gaming. turtle beach recon 50xs are like 30-40 dollars and have a mic that works with xbox so you can chime in. they sound fine. lighter than the recon 70x which i had to modify to make comfortable. for personal headphones tho, Sony XM4s are apparenlty the best. I liked my beats studio 3s more, but they sound worse and kept breaking on the hinges. you can still use an aux in to an xbox controller with either tho
The turtle beach recon 70 , solid cheap headset with no AI mic or Bluetooth app just to change my volume
My girl has the hyperx cloud. She has no complaints about the sound. But after a year, the earpiece material is deteriorating. For comparison, I got Turtle Beach Gen70 for $25 last xmas and its still holding up on all fronts
The turtle beach recon 70s are 20 bucks, hold up well and have decent feel. They are wired
