Turtle Beach - Stealth 700 (Gen 1)

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 1 was a great set- with the exception of the dongle which broke away from the housing pretty early on- then the headset started needing to be reset every time I turned them on for sound to fully come through (very soft sound for any game when first turning them on) + some connection issues. Got the gen 2 to replace them and they were uncomfortable and didn’t connect properly/ had a tinny quality. I’m back to the gen 1s and I’m considering the 3s. I’m not a pro gamer so I can’t justify something like the Logitech AC50x or similar. Super expensive, but I’m tired of resetting the damn headset every time I turn them on to use my PS5. Are the gen 3s going to work for me if I liked the gen 1s?

Had tb for many years.  700 then 700 gen2 and the 700 max. Generally no issues and they all got plenty of use.  Nothing ever snapped or broke off,  the people who say the arms snap... either ur heads massive or your stood on them. General wear has been my issues like the volume button stopping working and battery life going.  Had one where the sound was going that was 700 first gen. The max which I currently have annoys me as I have to log in to the app every time I use it to turn mic monitor off and change the wheel on the side to sound from my party.  Very annoying as it should be the standard setting. The dongles annoy me to,  xbox has Bluetooth damn it just connect to that

I got the turtle beach 700 it has 2 dongles and bluetooth for 100 bucks it conects to one dongle and blue tooth

We have always used the stealth 700 turtle beaches...when those inevitably broke after years of use, my husband and I switched to astro A30's. They are dog shit. I'm going back to turtle Beach. They are a little more expensive at $250-$300 if I remember correctly, but 1000% worth it. This is coming from someone who mains Cav and hearing is everything.

I've never used the 600, only 700.

I love my 700s though, they are literally the best headset I've used, especially sounds wise. They are Bluetooth connected so sometimes the connection gets a little funky, but other than that. I really have no complaints.

Tried them once, reluctantly. I will *never* try them again. I bought the Stealth 700s (I think. They had ANC and were wireless) and wasted 3 hours of my life because they didn't work. I updated firmware, factory reset. Tried this, tried that. The closest I ever got, they'd pair toy PC, the ANC would work, but no audio. And if I changed any settings in their software they basically turned off. I threw em back in the box, got my money back and got Astro A50s instead. They worked instantly, first try, and only got better with an updates and setup.

The 700s quality is dramatically improved from the 600. I won't get a 600 ever again, thing snapped on me putting on my head.

Interesting, in my 3 or 4 years of using Turtle Beach, I haven't encountered a single one of these problems you mention...

I love my turtle beach stealth for Xbox ! I don’t know if it’s good because my comparison is a shitty no name headset I had before 😆 But I love it can hear the steps and the exact location they are coming from
