"Every headset I’ve ever owned has broken down on me except for my HyperX Cloud II’s. ... I handed them down to my girlfriend and they’re still going strong several years later."
"after a year I have none of those issues"
"I use mine often and they are durable aswell."

"The pinpoint accuracy is insane. ... This was more noticeable on Valorant as it is a more sound dependent game. You won't miss anything with these. I started to watch out at angles I wouldn't watch with the others because some audio cue made me suspect a door and ... it was 100% right all the time. I could tell where they were with excellent accuracy, both horizontal and vertical."
"The ability to use 2 Channel stereo audio, excellent for FPS shooters (hearing footsteps). ... The logitech and some corsair wireless headsets force surround sound on in Windows audio settings through their drivers, which make the sound muffled and make poor positional audio."
"The quality sound in-game is very good you hear all the important info"

"my HyperX sits even more perfectly. 😂 ... The Cloud II are more comfortable to me, but the difference in clamp force is kinda minimal, not uncomfortable at all, at least to me."
"very rarely notice I'm wearing anything at all because they don't press the glasses into my head ... The biggest thing was finding comfy ones for glasses"
"my HyperX Cloud II headset has never caused head pain and fits comfortably. ... I also wear pretty thick glasses"

"But if I switch to my Hyperx Cloud II the mic of that headset doesn't pick up the TV at all."

"the highs pierce my eardrums"
"I ditched all my gaming headsets (the cleanest sound was on my HyperX Cluod 2 wired & the Audeze Penrose) and use the Beyerdynamic dt770pro, Sennheiser hd560s, Crinacle Zero Blue and Moondrop Chu II (the last two are iems). All wired and without a mic, but man is the sound nice. ... I haven’t used HyperX since I got the dt770 and hd560 and that says it all. The difference in sound might not seem that big at start (it still is noticeable), but you’re just gonna be appreciating it more and more as time goes by. The detail and clarity is something else completely. I don’t think I’m ever gonna buy a gaming headset again."
"it had dogshit bass ... sounded awful"

"everything I've tried so far is too "inside your head" to be convincing in immersive games. ... The soundstage of most headphones is too narrow"
"They sound like very high but trashy at the same time. ... I made the upgrade to ps5 and they are a mess. ... On Apex Legends I can't play like normally because of this. It's like a chaotic sound coming from everywhere. :("

"the firmware updater is a nightmare"
Would go for hyper x cloud wireless, its good sound good mic and not over expensive, arround 100 a 120.
r/buildapc • Whats the Best Gaming Headset to Buy Right Now? ->Alpha came out after Cloud II iirc. I don't know if there's any meaningful improvements over Cloud II however. As of the latter; I've owned a Cloud II and it was built like a goddamn tank. Sound quality is decent and I've spent countless hours in tactical FPS titles with that bad boy. I'd highly recommend it.
r/HyperX • Which ones are really worth it? ->Plastic connectors to the headband will probably disintegrate. Happened to my twos after a couple months
r/HyperX • HyperX Cloud Wireless III S: What the Cloud III Should Have Been ->I’ve had a ton of “gaming headsets” over the years, including a ton of sennheisers via sponsorship during cs. They’re all shit, because they try to do both audio and mic. And they’re all cheap plastic. Swapped to Beyerdynamic DT770 pro + XLR mic and after 12 years of using that I’m swapping to 990 pro because they’re literally falling apart now. Can even buy replacement parts to fix it up again. Never looking back at overpriced “gaming branded headsets” Maybe the only one I can recommend if you still insist on getting one, is the hyper x cloud 2 Because of similar durability with Beyerdynamic, as it’s literally a product made with them.
r/razer • Stay away from Blackshark Razer wireless headsets ->Sorry just saw this message, and no unfortunately this is a wired headphone set…(the Dt770) The cloud 2 hyperX has a wireless variant that works with ps5 as far as I know, ( but might come with a small amount of static if you’re sensitive to this ) Can recommend turning either the headsets 7.1 off or on the ps5 side as having both on can cause issues For the rest it’s plug and play
r/razer • Stay away from Blackshark Razer wireless headsets ->Really? I’ve bought 2 Kingston cloud 2s since 2017. My brother got a HP one a couple of months ago and it just didn’t sound as crisp. I asked him to do a blind rating and he knew which ones were which 🤷🤷 f knows. Just do whatever makes you happy

r/gamers • What brand of gaming headset is the best? ->Easily HyperX Cloud 2. Have had 2 pairs, both were great. Good audio, comfortable and pretty sturdy. The value for money you get on them is amazing IMO.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Which of these Gaming headsets is the best value for money? (Strictly limited to these options only) ->Senn 6XX and 58X, Sony XM4, HyperX Clouds, AKG earbuds... IVE TRIED IT ALL, BABY
r/virtualreality • I find headphones to be less immersive than default Quest speakers ->Cloud 2 is the goat of it's tier.
r/HyperX • Which ones are really worth it? ->I understand. When I switched from Cloud IIs to X2HRs, it sounded there was absolutely no bass because I was so used to the Cloud II’s warmer tuning. I liked the Cloud IIs significantly more until I got used to the new tuning. Simply reducing the loudness of higher frequencies can make things seem muffled, and reducing the loudness of lower frequencies can make things seem tinny. It’s all in comparison with what you’re used to. I don’t know if the difference you experienced is due to the “brain burn in time” or weird audio processing (sometimes the headphones come with “7.1 surround sound” emulation which ruins the audio balance), so that’s why I recommended that you drive them a little longer. Generally it’s recommended to turn all audio enhancements off (spatial audio, 7.1, windows sonic etc) if you want the best tracking, unless it’s built for the game (like Cryspatial is). You honestly don’t have much choice at your budget if you want a significant “upgrade” in tracking quality compared to the Krakens. The Cloud IIs are generally known as having decent sound quality but I’m not sure what changes they made with the IIIs.
r/HuntShowdown • What are some good headphones for hunt? (with a microphone) ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
