8bitdo [https://amazon.com/dp/B0DKXH5WCD](https://amazon.com/dp/B0DKXH5WCD) note they come with clicky switches by default, if in a shared space (coworkers, partner sleeping) i would replace the switches with other mechanical switches
I just got a K1 Pro a few days ago. My previous keyboard was an 8BitDo Retro which I loved. I've had more keyboards than I can count over the decades. So far this one is bad ass, the switches sound so good to me. I'm pretty sure this sound is what the kiddies refer to as thocky. Most of my mechanical keyboards were clicky, I don't know how to really describe this, it doesn't sound like any keyboard I've had. It sounds wonderful though. I do like how the keycaps are blank on the top and the font's on the front. I use a standing desk so it's a bit difficult to actually see the font, but I can touch type so it's not a really big deal to me. I love that it's metal, I Googled it and it's .3lbs heavier than my 8bit, but since it's metal it feels more substantial. And I don't know how good the software is. But they already get praise from me for it being an 8mb download. I had to install iCUE to change the colors on my Corsair keyboard, and that shit is larger the Windows XP cd lol. And looks are subjective, I realize a lot of people will hate how this looks. It definitely stands out, I rather like how it doesn't look like every other keyboard. Typing on it is superb, the keystrokes are smooth and I can't get over how beautiful the sound is.
Me over here rocking an 8bitdo NES keyboard/num pad. Both with tape/foam and box reds
I went through two Razer Huntsman keyboards and now I'm using the 8bitDo Mechanical keyboard with the addition of the keypad that can be used as a standalone calculator.
I think they feel good for gaming, but I’m in no way an expert. It also depends on where you want to use it. I’ve had great luck on a laptop and desktop, but none of their keyboards work on a PS5 for example. It does work on the Switch 2 though.
The stab on mine got stuck in and these keyboards are not really designed to be opened up, so for an enthusiastic gamer I would not reccomend it. The programmable buttons went almost completely unused over the two years I used the keyboard because they weren't easily programmable within the app (this might have changed since. Idk) If you are curious about mechanical keyboards, its a great place to start and the key caps and switches will out last the rest of the device.
