> but most good companies that I found here And we ALL know where 'Here' is, right? Personally, I travelled 2km and walked into a total of 4 different shops to get a feel for the keyboards. I was impressed with the Ajazz Ak35i - not only full size, but with a couple of media keys included (flat rubber - membrane maybe) plus a bump to incorporate a knob and screen (i.e. not replacing keys). However, for less than 50% of that price I bought an AK820-max-plus-retro... similar quality, but no screen... and the drawback I'm appreciating now is that having SCrLock, PrScr, pause and ins on a FN layer means I can't do Meta_shortcuts (because Fn_Meta locks the Meta key...). So I'd say 'full sized - or TKL' because having a numpad that's in the same place, but can be pushed away to bring in the mouse is good too. I also learned in my first week or two that the light 'flying fish' switches praised by gamers etc... well they just don't suit me, and I made more typos than I did on a cheap nasty Logitech K270 (which is actually good for typing). So I ordered Outemu Cream Yellow Silents from Aliexpress ($11 for 90 of those) and now it feels like a supercharged membrane keyboard with precise Mechanical response but totally silent keys, and no rattle that you get with a cheaper membrane clacky keycaps. Bonus: Messing with Monkeytype - on 'awkward stuff' my typing speed was limited to about 50 WPM. With the linears, that hovered around 60 - a bit faster, but with more botched stroke typos... but with the silent linears, I'm now comfortably hitting 75 to 90 wpm comfortably. Oh, and the cost - keyboard plus Outemu's from Aliexpress totals the equivalent of $48 USD. Depends where you are, watch out for Tariffs if you're in Trumps garden of Great America. TL;DR You need to go find out for yourself, because what many people say is the best on here is not necessarily gonna suit you.

Am quite happy with my Ajazz AK35i v3 if you're happy to forego QMK/VIA (which I had zero need for considering it was a 100% size kb)
