My thoughts? I'd hate it - cutting out so many keys to save a bit of space is (for me) ridiculous. I like the AU75, it's newer and better than the F75 and my son got one, it comes with really nice keycaps too... but really - it's up to you to know what size he prefers.

I own all 3 keyboards. Definitely go for the Epomaker AULA F75. Don’t buy from AliExpress or directly from Epomaker. Prices are comparable, but you get fast shipping and easy returns with Amazon. These keyboards are much better quality keyboards than Keychron or most Logitech keyboards as somebody else suggested.

Both are kinda expensive but they aren't necessarily bad. They won't hold you back by any means but you can get something better for the price. You can get a much nicer quality keyboard for around 50-60$, check the Aula F75, it's probably the best budget mechanical keyboard, if you want the gamer aesthetic then who cares go for the Steelseries. For 80€ you can get a very good quality wireless gaming mouse, there's a lot of options Razer Deathadder V3, Viper V2 Pro, Mchose A7 (budget, good quality Superlight clone)

It's simply better. The standard location of the capslock key makes no sense for how little it is used compared to LCtrl. Not needing to twist my left hand just to hit the Ctrl key is huge for a lot of games, and general use.

Looking for very specific keyboard. My original razer black widow broke on me. Looking for a 75%. I tried these 3 keyboards and they are all missing one thing. Epomaker aula F-75 basically perfect just sounds kinda like shit. Epomaker HE80 sounds great but the lighting is very dim. RK royal kludge- the function keys are just too close to the letters and it triggers me. Looking for 75%, very bright RGB, sounds good, and specifically has the delete key in the upper right hand portion of the screen. A lot of keyboards have the pause break in the upper right, and my game I play doesn’t allow me to change that keybind. so I need the upper right hand key to be delete preferably, or I guess if I had to anything other than pause/break.

Both are great value keyboards, but neither have QMK/Via. They each have their own proprietary software that is just... ok. Keychron V1 Max has VIA. Solid board but I personally hate the OSA keycaps they ship with. So I'd suggest seeing if you can make the barebones V1 + Switches + Caps work within your budget. USD I assume?

As someone who got swindled by them back in the day, I feel ya. The board is a POS. I havent had the pleasure of trying the HE board but there are so many good alternatives, esp for traditional mechanical. I like HE but theres so much better stuff for mechanical if you are not a pro. Some of my favorites: \- AULA f75 - Yes its plastic, but it does have a knob, sounds like a dream and is comfortable to type on. I love mine at home \- EVO 80 For the price point it cannot be beat, 169 and you get leafspring mount, incredible stock switches and free decent keycaps. \- Rainy 75, 89 dollars for the board that remains my daily driver. Same thing as evo 80 except with a gasket mount. And for HE, if you are going to get a board, get the wooting module and throw it into a case from KBD fans. It will take a little longer to get there, but the experience will be way better. I have mine in a holy 80 case, and it's an actual dream. It might even be cheaper. But I understand if you want to keep that board because you have sunk so much money into it. I found that force break mod, tempest tape mod, and putting polyester stuffing in the bottom helped the sound of my old GMMK pro significantly. Hope this helps!

As the other comment said, any hotswap mechanical keyboard with sound isolation material inside should be sufficient enough nowadays. I recently bought an Aula F75 with Graywood V4 switches and they sounded amazing, but since people around me was disturbed with the noise I swapped them with Outemu Silent Peach V3 switches and it was way more silent than most membrane keyboards I used in the past. Honestly I can recommend you buying any hotswap mechanical keyboard (with sound isolation material inside preferably) with your desired outer case color and design, then mod the switches and keycaps to your heart's content. In addition, there are literally tons of switches and UK layout keycaps on Temu and Aliexpress, you can find pretty good ones there to your liking.

The R75 keyboard is a pretty decent one, sound dampening and its price point seems okay too, leaving great budget for high quality switches and keycaps. The fact that its QMK/VIA compatible is a big plus, also great board to start modding. Generally I don't like Royal Kludge's quality but this product seems to be a solid choice. Apart from that one, I can recommend you Leobog Hi75, which has a nice, durable aluminum case; Ajazz AK820 Max Plus (sound dampening is good); Aula F75 (pretty nice sound dampening and long battery duration, sadly plastic casing); Wobkey Rainy 75 Lite (Amazing value for its price, great sound isolation). If you ask me, R75, Hi75 and Rainy 75 Lite are all solid choices but Rainy 75 Lite and Hi75 are kind of a bit more premium products with their material quality and R75 is a better bang for buck, giving more window and budget for customization and showing the basics of modding a bit better. Apart from that, I can easily recommend you the following brands: Akko, Ajazz, Wobkey, NuPhy, Epomaker, Gamakay, Aula, Mchose and GravaStar. Steer clear from Keychron (not as reliable as they used to be anymore). I think most if not all keyboards come with stabilisers anyways. Kailh Prestige Silent Switches still have a bit of noise and I'm not sure if lubrication can help it, but lubrication will definitely do wonders on Outemu Silent Peach V3 or Akko Fairy switches over the factory-made lubrication. Also O-rings aren't needed much with silent switches but can help you with travel distances of your switches if you don't like the key to go down too much after the key push command is executed. Oof it has been a long writing, lol. Hopefully I could answer all your questions and my answers give you some ideas about your future plans with modding your keyboard. Feel free to ask any other question you have in mind.

pre-built? nah doesn't exist. Best you can do is an Aula F75, that's like 40 (60 tops) USD. And get yourself 90 pieces or so of Otemu Silent Peach or Lemon (Linear or Tactile) switches. about 20 USD. And while not completely building yoruself, you replace the switches. EDIT: I stand corrected there is this fugly little thing, comes with a mobile device tray that's too long for a phone but too short for any tablet. Epomaker DynaTab 75 (NOT 75x) and you can buy it for 45 USD right now and it comes with Epomaker Sea Salt Silent switches as an option.

You can’t go wrong with Aula f75 or rk87, they’re really nice for gaming. Although if you absolutely want it purely for gaming or want the best possible gaming performance and experience then you should be looking at Hall Effect keyboards that come with magnetic switches that allow you to adjust the actuation points of the switch (ie how farther down you press to activate). The Aula F75 Pro was my first true mechanical I bought a few months ago and has been my daily work driver for the most part. My only real beef is how tight the Leobog Reaper switches are to come off and most stick to the keycaps, so when I finally change things out, it will be quite a chore. I haven't tested BT, but wired and 2.4 have worked pretty flawlessly. I got some flack when people heard me typing on a call because they said it was loud 😂

I don't know, maybe I'm just the unlucky one who ended up buying a crappy keyboard out of thousands of good ones. I thought for $75—which is considered expensive in my country—the G512 would be a great experience, but I was wrong. It's terrible. So bad that it made me not want to use any Logitech keyboards ever again. Some keys have broken LEDs, the switches sometimes don’t work, sometimes they double-click on the same key (wtf???), there’s electrical leakage from the keyboard plate, the sound, the typing feel... everything is just awful. I switched to the Aula F75 and it’s a hundred times better (at least for now).

People are stuck somewhere in 2015 with those cherry mx suggestions… There are so many options of customizations with absolutely different sound profiles nowadays, but people still think that mechanical keyboards are still on the same dogshit level like 10y.o Hyperx or whatever. Good example is budget options like Aula F75. Yes, it’s not silent, but have very pleasant sound profile. It’s just a good affordable base for some silent switches, if you really need it. 50$ for keyboard and ~10-15$ for silent switches set like Outemu Silent Peach V3 and you are done. But, most likely you'd prefer stock sound profile over silence, it's just that good out of the box (for that price, ofc). Even so I own HE keyboard, I won't say it's a complete musthave. Just a great addition to the hobby, when you're playing competitively. Typical mechanical keyboards are good enough for 99% of people.

Aula F75, it’s $70 on Amazon (although you can get it cheaper on Aliexpress) and it’s pretty nice. Good sounding, nice feel, and they have a black version with orange accent keys (you can swap keys if you want). Has RGB, wireless, and a volume knob. Good starter board imo.

I ordered both and compared the two side by side and here are my thoughts: This model has the following that the pro doesn't: - Side RGB - An Alt key on the right hand side - Tactile feeling of the knob was slightly better The switches and sound seemed basically identical between the two. I felt like the switches and chassis color on the pro were more in line with what I wanted and I also felt the RGB on the pro seemed a little stronger, but I have nothing quantitative to base this on. I ended up keeping the pro because of the aesthetics, but other than the few things I mentioned above, the two are functionally identical.

It's good, it's REAL good. The sound and type-feel is superb. The build quality surprised me as well. I bought it on a whim as a travel keyboard, and then purchased 2 more.. One for the office and one for my home setup. If I had any gripe, I wish it had a wrist rest, but that easily remedied.

Aula f75 is so good I'm getting a second piece. Your budget is higher, could get the rainy75 or some Womier, I almost bought one of those as all reviews converge saying they are effectively simply higher end keyboards. I struggled to find any keyboard that justify spending over 50 bucks these days. A hundred bucks in a keyboard doesn't always mean they will last. I bought 3 high end keyboards in the last few years, they all died on me. Some sellers sell the Aula with all sort of switches, including silents (Outemu). Easiest is to go with that it will save some money instead of putting aside whatever good noisy switches they normally stock with. Also, womier sells amazing key caps sets with all sorts of themes from 10 to 25 bucks.

If you can extend your budget to 5500, absolutely get the Aula F75 Wireless It has pre lubed switches (I recommend choosing the reapers switches), it's wireless, has ACTUAL thock, a volume knob, comes with double shot pbt caps and is a very good heavy board A lot of good color choices too I plan on getting this board too The difference between red generic omtemu switches and the reaper switches is HUGE. I recommend looking up some reviews and sound tests. IMO worth every penny

What a crazy coincidence. I play lots of different genres of games. Stuck on Grimdawn for now though and can't get enough. I tried a new keyboard today that has been recommended all over YouTube as a great keyboard (the Aula F75). Sending it back because I'm so used to the clicky sound of my Logitech keyboard. Wish I knew which version of the 815 I have, I think it's tactile. I love when I press down and hear the click, the way it goes with my spells (Arcanist). Trying to use the "creamy" sounding keyboard just didn't do it for me. I am not sure if there's anything else much like the G815, but still looking. I really want to get one that is customizable so I can get into keyboard modding/customization. As for a mouse, I really really need a new one. Maybe I'll swap out my old G502 for the much better one, the G502 X Plus Lightspeed Wireless.

I'd recommend 75% keebs like Rainy 75 (aluminium body) with VIA support. Aula/Epomaker is not great stuff as they come with proprietary software, but acceptable. At least F75 have gasket mount and 5 pin sockets for switches and normal foam layers. If you need rapid trigger for games - take a look at keyboards with magnetic (HE - Hall effect) keyboards. Dunno much about what to choose between HE keebs :) Most of them are configured by own software directly in browser as I know.

I got an Epomaker x Aula F75 with Reaper switches on Amazon after doing very “thorough” research (ie. watching one video on YouTube where they tested a bunch of keyboards and I liked how this one sounded) and I must say, it does sound very nice and creamy and satisfying. It’s fine for gaming, I don’t really know what people constitute a “good” gaming keyboard, they’re basically all the same to me. But yeah the way it sounds is so good. 🤤 It was like $100 so not super cheap but still cheaper than a lot of others.

That's about $50-60 USD, so there's the Keychron V1, V2, V3 which are all $54. I'd go with one of those. Aula F75 for around $60 might have a little bit better sound and feel but it doesn't have QMK/VIA. So those are my picks for the price point.

Hi all! Not new to mechanical, been using steelseries and logitech versions for years, but finally dipping my toes into the real deal. Starting simple with an Aula F75 pro for my home work setup. So far so good for the most part, but I'm running into some irritation on my hand from a somewhat sharp ctrl key + how tall the keyboard is. As someone based in Europe, do you have any recommendations for online shops I can potentially order a lower profile, and/or rounder, ctrl keycap from? If I need to get any entire set I guess thats fine, however I'd prefer just to replace a single key. This would likely be a great time to have a 3D printer, sadly I am lacking. Somewhat related, if I wanted to give tactile switches a try do you recommend swapping over to tactile on the F75 or grabbing an already build tactile setup? Thank you!

Is AED 1000 per item or for the whole set? :p I am assuming the whole set. Headset: HyperX Cloud III for AED 189, classic wired headset, good comfort, good sound. Not as good as before HP bought them but still good. Mouse: Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 for AED 442. Solid all-around. Or Asus ROG Harpe for AED 359, one I have personally used and it's really good and accurate. Keyboard: Avoid gaming keyboards. They are expensive and offer no benefits. Unless you want the 8000Hz shit which doesn't make a difference (or I haven't noticed it) or magnetic switches. Otherwise, I highly recommend the Aula F75 for AED 195. One of the best budget mechanical keyboards. Works well. Gorgeous sound. Will make you want to type more. All prices based on Amazon with current discounts.

Here is my honest review (sorry about my English its not my main language) 1. Price 10/10 - this is amazing price for this keyboard (42$) no wonder its the most popular “budget” keyboard 2. Build 7/10 - its a 75% keyboard but it still a little bit uncomfortable some keys are miss placed and the multifunction roller is quite disturbing 3. Usb Wireless option 8.5/10 - idk how to say it in english lol but the small usb that connects to your pc and makes it wireless, really comfortable option but still a little bit of delay good for editing, work, projects but not really good for pro gaming 4. Bluetooth option 3/10 - the bluetooth option is honestly not good got a lot of issues - not typing, typing in delay , keys spam - pressing a key and suddenly it keeps spamming it , not recommended 5. Rgb/Led 8/10 - pretty good colors and it looks ok also you have the software and you can customize it but the colors seems to me a little bit weird but still good 6. The multifunctional roller 8/10 - the multifunctional roller is an awesome option you can control adjust your sound, mute it,unmute it, change RGB modes, adjust RGB visibility the only reason i didnt gave it a 10 it’s because its in a little bit uncomfortable position of the keyboard and its confusing im pressing it a lot instead of backspace but it might be my fault 7. Keyboard sound 10/10 - i have grey switches but the sound is amazing not too loud and perfect for your ears 8. Overall 8/10 for its price its 10/10 really decent keyboard and overall if you dont care about the bluetooth option i really recommend to buy it i hope this review helped someone who wanted to purchase it good luck hope it helps👍

For the Aula F75, either the Star Vector or Reaper Axis is pretty quiet. Meaning there is no CLICKING sounds on the SWITCH. The only noise that can be heard depends on how heavy the users type with the keys bottoming out. as for the RK R75, not entirely sure about the yellow switch. But the red linear sqitch should be silent enough. The switches that are annoyingly loud are the tactile ones, specially the blue switches. If you still hate the sound of the keys bottoming out. you can get something like a [sound dampener](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/feker-switch-sound-dampeners-sheet-soft-pad-dimple-foam-sponge-for-mechanical-keyboard-i5022473895-s29396862423.html?&search=pdp_v2v?spm=a2o4l.pdp_revamp.recommendation_2.5.56604794vy8rCk&mp=1&scm=1007.16389.286994.0&clickTrackInfo=56635a85-cfac-4cb8-9c79-b3142cbcf894__5022473895__24965__trigger2i__287002__0.447__0.447__0.0__0.0__0.0__0.447__4__null__null__null__null__null__null____199.0__0.5025125628140703__5.0__8__99.0__1986160,1972114,1972319,1985684,1981450,101718,1979371,1983779,1983978,1973792,1973793,1981449,1978478,1979634,1973283,1977462__null__null__null__3650.16504_955.3631__null__32104__null__0.0__0.0________null__null__0) https://preview.redd.it/rzj3zc322maf1.png?width=930&format=png&auto=webp&s=30c5752acc6444f67d89ae6a4acaf4f577c83d06

My top two recommendations for 75% are the Kisnt KN85 from Amazon, if you're looking for the lowest cost. Or the Bridge75 Plus from Divinikey if you're looking for the best quality for $100. If i had to pick one of the Aula keyboards, I'm not sure which one I would. I have the regular F75 and the regular F65,and I like them both. I guess I would avoid anything with a screen since that's just an extra place a keyboard can break.

GMK87/67 are kits so you have to put switches and keycaps on yourself. If not I suggest Kisnt Kn85. Aula F75 is also good. For TKL Aula F87 is also good.

Epomaker makes a really awesome keyboard that is everything you listed for under $100. I have both the Aula F75 pro and the Aula F99 pro. Use one for home and the other for work. I absolutely love them both. Probably won’t buy another keyboard for a decade or so.

There are many many good options. Tbh, for what you want, something like an Aula F75 or Ajazz AK820 Pro is probably going to work just fine. If you want a nice aluminum case though and really high-quality stock switches and keycaps, I would recommend the Monsgeek M1W V3 or M1 V5.

I think the AK820 Pro has kind of surpassed the Aula as the best budget board these days, but both are great options.

Ive been using the g pro wireless tkl for the last 5-6 years and it started to show a lot of wear on the keycaps and dobbelclicking. So I bought the AULA F75 Pro which sounds good and I can easily switch between Bluetooth and wireless connection. So I am mostly happy with it but the software is trash and I found out that 75% layout isn't really ideal for work. Any recommendations for a tkl keyboard for both work and gaming with wired and wireless connection? I could buy the g pro x tkl, but it's really expensive in my country and ive gotten used to to that creamy sound on the aula and I don't think the Logitech sounds anywhere near that? Hall effect would be cool, but not really a requirement.

I'm pretty sure Bluetooth quality depends on your Bluetooth adapter and what's between in adapter and keyboard. Also you bought literally worst color scheme for keyboard. I got same keycaps but different keyboard and changed it after 2 days. You should also change it. This shitty color hurts eye after long use and barely readable. Imo, possibly worst thing of aula is too much flex in some places. Even with all these minor problem for for 40 buck it's literally steal.

Sorry for the presumption (off the bat); but considering the question, it appears that this is going to be first or early forays into mechanical keyboards. I would suggest going with Aula 75 (or more compact Aula option). The keyboards are good entry point to the mechanical keyboard (plus buy it off of Amazon and it can be returned easily, if he doesn't like it), the build quality is great for the price point and they have decent switches. For a regular joe/casual gamer/for office goers, coming from a non-mechanical keyboard, this keyboard is a huge jump for me in terms of performance, usability and experience. Also, their keyboards are swappable (depending on the model you choose) which essentially allows you to change the switches and the key-caps (in future if you wish to go down that rabbit hole :)). Further, in general, look for pre-lubed switches (from the company). Also, I am presuming that he is a casual gamer and Aula keyboards have decent performances (check for response time on you tube videos \~2 ms - wired). Also, please be aware of the number of options, audiophilic you tube videos highlighting the wonderful sounds each type of keyboard produces which will cause confusion (rightly so). Furthermore, the answer to your question will also depend on the budget (Aula 75/99 keyboards are priced around \~130 CAD, do check Amazon for routine discounts on certain products). Happy shopping!!!

I like the hi75 better despite it being wired for two reasons (1) the stock sound is the best i ever heard in a keyboard (i know its subjective, but people would spend tons of time and more money to not beat that ) and (2) the knob position is within the keyboard which i find looks a bit more refined. this aula 75 did not sound as good to me at stock. I like keyboard but have no time to put into tweaking them

Not sure just know I bought a cheap aula threw some gateron jade pros on it fun keycaps and put it in an aluminum housing and it's a better experience than any wooting I have used and it still cost less than a comparable wooting. If there is any input latency differences or differences in rapid trigger they are so minute that I can't tell.
