"pretty solid ... little flex from lateral twisting, or pressing keys ... many foam and silicone layers inside from what I read and saw in a teardown ... overall pretty solid ... I'd use it for self defense"
"is a very good heavy board"
"comes with double shot pbt caps"

"this is amazing price for this keyboard (42$) ... no wonder its the most popular “budget” keyboard"
"if you are buying a good keyboard you expect it to last atleast an year. ig the ice vein one costs 700-800 more, and it is worth it. ... I hope a keyboard this expensive lasts a decade at the very least"
"Good example is budget options like Aula F75. ... It’s just a good affordable base for some silent switches, if you really need it. ... 50$ for keyboard and ~10-15$ for silent switches set like Outemu Silent Peach V3 and you are done."

"Imo, possibly worst thing of aula is too much flex in some places."

"some keys are miss placed and the multifunction roller is quite disturbing ... the only reason i didnt gave it a 10 it’s because its in a little bit uncomfortable position of the keyboard and its confusing im pressing it a lot instead of backspace ... Some keys feel misplaced and just placed uncomfortably because of the multifunctional roller ... because of the multifunctional roller a lot of keys feel out of place"
I'm pretty new to the custom keyboard hobby, but had I known how much nicer a quality keyboard was to use, I would have gotten one a long time ago. These days, you can get a really nice keyboard for cheap. You don't have to go deep into custom land. Something like one of these will blow you mind how much nicer they are to type on. ;) [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPWX3WTL?ref\_=ppx\_hzsearch\_conn\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title\_3&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPWX3WTL?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1) [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBPXNY9Z?ref\_=ppx\_hzsearch\_conn\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title\_2](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBPXNY9Z?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2) [https://www.amazon.com/EPOMAKER-Mechanical-Swappable-Five-Layer-Bluetooth/dp/B0CW96HFFY](https://www.amazon.com/EPOMAKER-Mechanical-Swappable-Five-Layer-Bluetooth/dp/B0CW96HFFY) [https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R65-Mechanical/dp/B0CNP4P4X3](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R65-Mechanical/dp/B0CNP4P4X3) Mice are a similar situation. A good Logitech mouse is a sweet thing to have! ;) \[Imgur\](https://i.imgur.com/pg7QzQ9.jpg)
The Epomaker G84 is built pretty well and feels nice to type on, but it can cost a bit. The AULA S75 Pro has some nice features for the price, plus RGB lighting which is cool for gaming. The AU75 is a budget pick, but you might lose out on some build quality... Have you checked out keyboardyeti? they have a comparison chart that could help you figure it all out.
My thoughts? I'd hate it - cutting out so many keys to save a bit of space is (for me) ridiculous. I like the AU75, it's newer and better than the F75 and my son got one, it comes with really nice keycaps too... but really - it's up to you to know what size he prefers.
Wooting 80he is the best keyboard on the market, but it’s a bit expensive. My friend just got this one and loves it if you’re trying to save a little money https://a.co/d/1ROpodI
[https://uk.whatgeek.com/products/aula-f75-wireless-mechanical-keyboard](https://uk.whatgeek.com/products/aula-f75-wireless-mechanical-keyboard) This one might interest you, I personally use one and it's pretty great wired or wireless.
I got an attack shark X66, volume knob was DOA. Spent ages trying to fix it but problem couldn't be explained as software fault. The sensor that detects knob twists was sending (+) outputs both clockwise and anticlockwise. Returned it that weekend, went for the Epomaker X Aula F75 with crescent switches. It's been quite nice.
I have an Aula Au75 (similar to this with slight differences) and a Leobog Hi8SE, as well as Ajazz AK820 and some others. The Leobog is the best of them and has an all aluminum case, but honestly, the Aula is a very close second.
as someone who first had royal kludge r75 or whatever and now owns the aula epomaker 75 or whatever (bad with names sorry), i couldn’t recommend them enough!!!
I have an epomaker x Aula f75? It's a good keyboard and sounds great. I recommend icy vein switches. Basically the switch is pretty much are like impact on the sound of the keyboard. Like for instance, blue switches are really clicky and some switches are thotty.
I have aula 75 ice vein and aulaf99 sea salt. I use the sea salt for work and ice vein for casual gaming :) I’ve been using them for over a year and love them both. F99 I actually got it on AliExpress and the aula75 I got directly from epomaker and both have no issues at all
