The Epomaker G84 is built pretty well and feels nice to type on, but it can cost a bit. The AULA S75 Pro has some nice features for the price, plus RGB lighting which is cool for gaming. The AU75 is a budget pick, but you might lose out on some build quality... Have you checked out keyboardyeti? they have a comparison chart that could help you figure it all out.

Ended up deciding on an Aula 75 pro since it’s pretty highly recommended and on sale for prime day
I’ve been getting into keyboards with screens on them. Kind of sucks because the one budget board I found that has aluminum body, long horizontal screen, knob, RGB, tri connectivity, has a low frame rate screen. I am talking about the K720 Pro from Redragon. I am comparing it to the Aula S75 Pro which isn’t bad per se, it’s just a plastic board with a vertical screen instead. The Aula screen has faster frame rates though and when you run gifs on them, they look much smoother compared to the Redragon. I really like the Redragon, love how premium it feels, but it just sucks to see the gifs look so stutterly on the screen. I know this isn’t a big deal to some, but in a hobby where subjectivity reigns supreme, I guess I am still on the quest to find the right one.
I like that you can run gifs on them, it’s an aesthetics thing. Again, not for everyone, I know. On the software piece, yeah I wish keyboard software would just evolve already into something where it’s browser based like VIA. It shouldn’t be some sussy .exe that I should think twice about installing. Kind of hard to shop for screen keebs at the moment too because not everyone displays the screen specs. I’ve had to message a few companies to inquire about them. Not everyone has responded.
Love mine! Bought a nuphy and keychron and find myself just using the Aula for both gaming and my work in IT.
I have the s75 pro, also love my Aula
Chinese keyboards are deemed budget, but in reality they are just value. For 55-60$ after tax you are able to buy a really nice keyboard off of Aliexpress, like aula f75/s75/hero 84he. If you see comparable western keyboards, they all start at 100-120$. Add tax (25-30%), add shipping (30$) and you are looking at 200$ keyboard which is basically the same, but with "better" drivers. There is scarcely any value in that. Something fancy is 200, 250, 300$ + tax, but hey, they will spare you the shipping ! It is an expensive hobby and small differences in quality cost a lot. Sometimes it's liie audio-voodoo selling audiophile cables.
The Aula s75 Pro I’m having is fantastic. It’s my second ever mechanical keyboard. It sounds creamy without any moddings.
I’ve had an aula for 2 months and it’s just perfect for my use case. Two laptops and less common, the iPad. Connects perfectly with all devices. And yes, it sounds creamy. I’m enjoying more programming now
