Hey, my Corsair K100 has worked great for four years so far. (Disclaimer: Corsair sent me the keyboard for free. Thanks, Corsair!)
r/MechanicalKeyboards • Basically All "Gaming Keyboards" from Corsair, Asus, Logitech, Razer These days ->mine's been great other than the volume rocker being wonky. after the warranty expired when you raise or lower the volume it goes all over the place.
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->If it's wasn't for icue crapping itself I'd say the k100 is the best (loose control of the gkeys in the stream deck app) I used to have the k60 rgb pro but every 4 - 6 months I'd have to replace it as a key stem would snap. After about keyboard replacement 5 dying I swapped to the k100 and it's been the best for the last few years, no issues. Comes with the perk of being soo loud it pisses my mum off
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->I have been struggling keeping my old Razor Blackwidow, and it finally died. I decided a long time ago that my next keyboard was going to be a Corsair. So I went with another mechanical keyboard with programmable buttons on the side and a full number pad. I have no regrets what so ever! A significant improvement all around. The keys are precise and almost too responsive. It feels good to use. The macros are fairly easy to use, but, for some reason the macro keynrecord doesn't want to read key typing. I get around this easily with the direct add inputs options. Anyone know why this is? That aside, 9/10 with a point off for the usual unfriendly iCue use and maybe a glitch, as noted.
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->I've actually been surprised with how well the macro buttons are working. The record key function doesn't, but after inputing the via command, it's been perfect.
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->To wrong the macro I uses these three dot options https://preview.redd.it/sm7umbvqbsge1.png?width=216&format=png&auto=webp&s=f62da9da6f3df962785acff764236ebe9ddd5c02
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->Love the k100 only thing is i like tactile switches that is the only struggle but its no problem with the opx linear ones. i need the G-Keys for some actions in world of warcraft. i bought mine 2023 after my logitech g910 died. I also have the nexus but i cant recommend it, dont but it.
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->Do not get this keyboard. Had it for awhile and the macro keys have never worked properly
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->And for $300 everything better work properly every time
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->Idk I’ve tried a number of different ways to do very simple things and it just doesn’t work. I tried asking Corsair support they pretty much just said “yeah it’s the software, sorry” and that was it
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->i can't disagree with this at all, i have been using 5 logitech keyboard in the past 10 years, all of them broke just like several months after 2 years, which put me out of warranty. All the double clicking issue persist from the G413 all the way to G910 and even G815. Now i'm using K100 as well, just that my issue is that it's very sensitive and can easily triggered. so i modified some of the switches with 65gr springs
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->I enjoy my Razer Deathstalker V2, and Corsair K100. I will never part with them. I also enjoy using a keyboard I made with my choice of case, switches, and keycaps. Big gaming isn’t going anywhere, but hotswappables are becoming more and more meta. I can see the bigger companies releasing more customizable sets in the near future. It’s the main reason I enjoy Keychron.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • Basically All "Gaming Keyboards" from Corsair, Asus, Logitech, Razer These days ->Never get an off the shelf Keyboard if you care about keyboards at all. You need to understand why off the shelf keyboards are not worth it compared to custom keyboards. How I got into custom keyboards was because my friend was showing me his Glorious GMMK Pro. Compared to my Corsair K100, it was night and day. The moment I touched my friend's keyboard I was in awe of how silent it was and smooth the feel was. I paid $300aud for my Corsair and I fully regret it. All the components are really made from cheap materials and materials that make the experience of the keyboard worse. Especially when they advertise "military grade metal". Metal actually makes a pinging sound as if you're tapping on a bare piece of sheet metal. You also can't change the switches and Cherry MX switches are notorious for being the worst sounding and feeling switches in the market. If you want a cheap and easy entry into custom keyboards, "Keychron Q1 Max" is always in stock and you can change the switches. If you want and idea of why non-custom keyboards are bad, take Cherry MX for example. The stem is rattly, the plastics rub against each other and no modding (adding lube) will make those problems go away. If you want to jump straight into the deep end read below. 65% is the most popular size rn. \- Bauer Lite is the budget king and Space65 is the high end king. Most enthusiasts consider Space65 an endgame keyboard.
r/keyboards • Recommendations for 65-80% gaming keyboard ->k100 is a beast, I had it for one year sold it, and my friend who bough it still uses it one year later with no complains. (I'm also very happy with my mx mechanical mini from logi)
r/MechanicalKeyboards • Basically All "Gaming Keyboards" from Corsair, Asus, Logitech, Razer These days ->K100 is ight with some tweaks. Just wish it was easier to find a metal bottom plate replacement
r/MechanicalKeyboards • Basically All "Gaming Keyboards" from Corsair, Asus, Logitech, Razer These days ->It's got some pros and cons but one major flaw: Only available with speed switches which are god awful. Waiting for the refresh coming soon that has the programmable actuation point switches like on the new k70s
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->Aka both speed switches, all awful
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->Had a few of the LED's go on mine, otherwise great
r/Corsair • Best keyboard I've ever had. K100 ->>I would want something WITH ten key, macro keys, and volume control as well. As far as a mouse goes, I would want a couple extra buttons on the side, but nothing crazy like some MMO mice I've seen If you need dedicated macro KB keys, then the K100 is about the only choice. K95 Platinum XT models are getting scarce and you may prefer the standard bottom row and spacing on the K100. However, be aware any KB key can be assigned as a macro key, so all those Scroll Lock, Pause, num pad and right sided keys can be made to do the job with a click. That makes the K70 models like the MAX an additional choice. The Darkstar has the nice amount of useful side buttons that can be activated without requiring extreme finger precision. It also has tilt command options, so left, right, front, rear mouse tilts also can become macro triggers or other commands. The M65 Elite and Night*sabre* also have tilt commands that effectively become another set of side buttons.
