Do you want a membrane or mechanical keyboard? I like Corsair for budget keyboards, you have the K55 range for £29.99-£50. Membrane keyboards, RGB, can buy with or without numpad, etc. Had it for years with no signs of wear on the keys with regular cleaning. You might want to invest in a mechanical keyboard however, as if this issue happened again you could just easily swap the keycaps to new ones for cheaper (and any cute custom design you like). The prices range a lot but you can get budget ones. I’ve heard good things about Keychron for budget mechanical keyboards, so you could look into these. Also thinking about why it happens, if you’re maybe using a lot of force on the keys you may benefit from mechanical if you’re not using one already as I always find it takes much less force to push the keys down. Even better if you fancy pushing the boat out, brands like Keychron and Nuphy make “HE” keyboards which work by using magnets in the switches to detect you’ve pressed it, and you can adjust how much pressure is required from the tiniest tap to a full push. And again you can swap the keycaps if the letters still rub off. Also, if this is your 3rd keyboard in 4 years I’m going to assume they may have been in warranty depending on the manufacturer. No idea about the one you’ve pictured but it’s always good to invest in one made by a reputable manufacturer with a warranty policy. Most warranties will be a year but recently my Steelseries keyboard stopped working after 5 years and it had a 6 year warranty for free, and they just sent me a new one within a week. Happy shopping!

I currently have a Corsair K55 that I bought 4 years ago when I built my PC. I have grown to hate it for multiple reasons. Its big and clunky, the keys travel really far to bottom out, no tactile feel, and most importantly: THE KEYS COME OFF WAYYYY TOO EASY. The keys literally come off just by sticking to my fingers form the heat moisture. I'm not talking about sweating or clammy hands, I live in Houston and they literally come off just due to the humidity. If my finger goes from one key to the next and I barely scrape the key next to it, it pops off. I am looking for something that fits the following: \- tactile and clicky with good firm pressure response (if that's even a good description). \- I really like the "slim" style keyboards like the Logitech G915 (just not at that price point) although, this is not a requirement. \- The keys need to be very tight fit and difficult to come off (This is a MUST). \- I would like it to have the directional arrows and a num pad with numbers at the top (an 80% would be okay if fits other desires). \- Backlit preferred due to being in a dark room 100% of the time Thank you to anyone that has helpful suggestions or insight!

Well for anyone reading this in the future, the Corsair K55 has keycaps that come off just by looking at them. I actually just saw that Microcenter in Houston carries a bunch of Keychron models. I'm going to go up there tomorrow to check them out and see which route I want to go.
