Do you want a membrane or mechanical keyboard? I like Corsair for budget keyboards, you have the K55 range for £29.99-£50. Membrane keyboards, RGB, can buy with or without numpad, etc. Had it for years with no signs of wear on the keys with regular cleaning. You might want to invest in a mechanical keyboard however, as if this issue happened again you could just easily swap the keycaps to new ones for cheaper (and any cute custom design you like). The prices range a lot but you can get budget ones. I’ve heard good things about Keychron for budget mechanical keyboards, so you could look into these. Also thinking about why it happens, if you’re maybe using a lot of force on the keys you may benefit from mechanical if you’re not using one already as I always find it takes much less force to push the keys down. Even better if you fancy pushing the boat out, brands like Keychron and Nuphy make “HE” keyboards which work by using magnets in the switches to detect you’ve pressed it, and you can adjust how much pressure is required from the tiniest tap to a full push. And again you can swap the keycaps if the letters still rub off. Also, if this is your 3rd keyboard in 4 years I’m going to assume they may have been in warranty depending on the manufacturer. No idea about the one you’ve pictured but it’s always good to invest in one made by a reputable manufacturer with a warranty policy. Most warranties will be a year but recently my Steelseries keyboard stopped working after 5 years and it had a 6 year warranty for free, and they just sent me a new one within a week. Happy shopping!

For under $100, check out the Keychron K6 or the Corsair K55... They're good for gaming and typing, and they feel alright to use. The yunzii B75 Pro Max isn't bad, but you should look up some reviews on how tough it is. Keyboardyeti has some comparisons that might help you figure out what works for you.

Question: I have the K55 and I'm considering upgrading to this, particularly because I *really* like it's abundance of spare Macro keys and full RGB setup, is there any other keyboard you can think of that matches that? I haven't been able to find one myself

i use the corsair k55 and have not had issues since i bought it 8 years ago. its really easy to clean and none of the buttons are worn off. im at my pc for 10 hours a day on average and its the only part i havent had to upgrade or replace ever.

I have a Corsair (K55 I think, I'm not at my desk nor am I getting up to check) and that has a dedicated macro key column, and was fairly reasonable cost wise.

They're decent for around six months to a year, then they fail. Not making that mistake again! I went for one with fully replaceable switches and caps, so the keyboard controller failed.

Corsair K55 series should be around that price. They're decent, at least for the price.
