I have owned the wireless version for the past year and a half and I LOVE it. It's very sturdy and I've genuinely had no issues with it at all. I even tape modded it a few weeks after purchasing (which doesn't even void the warranty which is great) and it sounds amazing. Very 'thocky' for a pre-built keyboard.
r/Corsair • Thought on the k65 plus keyboard ->epomaker once had a sub reddit but was removed due to their shady behavior toward customers. their keyboards however are valid. ajazz makes good cheap keyboards, on top of my head names like AK820 (and other variants ex pro and pro max) are all pretty good, they even have an hall effect line up if you want to try something new (beware the feeling between mechanical switches and he switches is totally different). if you really want to stick to corsair (even thou it ain't really worth its price) the corsair K65 plus is an hot swappable 75% layout keyboard with an alluminum top plate and a plastic bottom plate (just like the keyboard i'm using but it's from asus and I had to mod it).
r/keyboards • Is the Corsair k70 pro worth it at 125$(115€) or should I choose… ->If you are considering the k70 pro rgb, choose the opx version. If you want to use it for a long time and solve problems on your own, choose a product that is hot-swappable with general mechanical switches. Other alternatives include optical switches or magnetic switches. Mechanical hot-swap switches are designed to easily replace those that have a 3-pin such as the Cherry red switch. The keyboard you are using uses Cherry Viola switches. That switch is less durable than a typical Cherry MX switch, and due to its structure, problems like those you repaired using alcohol are bound to occur. Instead, you can pull it out because it is a switch that does not require soldering. If you want to clean it with alcohol, pull it out, disassemble the switch itself, and use alcohol to fix it. [https://youtu.be/oAIKK1ddCds?feature=shared&t=137](https://youtu.be/oAIKK1ddCds?feature=shared&t=137) That switch is actually something that should never have appeared in the world. It is difficult to use that switch for a long time. Anyway, a hot-swap keyboard using typical Cherry MX-style mechanical switches can be used for a long time, but Corsair does not have a hot-swap keyboard among the full-size keyboards. Corsair's two keyboards, the K65 Plus and K70 Pro Mini, are such HOT-SWAPPABLE products. OPX is an optical switch using an IR sensor. Since key input is detected using the IR sensor located on the PCB side, there is no problem unless the sensor is broken. These switches don't require soldering, so you can pull them out as well. However, there is no compatible switch that can completely replace Corsair's opx switch. The reason is that the bottom part of the switch is slightly different, so if you connect a different switch, there are some problems with sensor recognition. Recently, magnetic switches capable of rapid triggering have become popular. This switch is also replaceable because it does not require soldering. Corsair uses something called the MGX switch and currently has two products, the K70 MAX and K70 PRO TKL. If you want full size, choose K70 MAX. This magnetic switch has a magnet in the center of the switch, and a semiconductor that enables HALL EFFECT is located on the PCB side according to the magnet position. Because of this structure, magnetic switches other than Corsair's MGX switches can be used. Unless you stick to full sizes, there are more options. Recently, many inexpensive and high-performance keyboards have been released by Chinese manufacturers. Most of them are 75% or 65% keyboards. As for the K70 PRO RGB, I've already mentioned it, but unless it's the OPX version, it doesn't meet the conditions you want. However, since the K70 MAX, Corsair has been increasing the number of keyboard configurations including double dampers for noise reduction, and is also applying basic lubrication to the switches. (The switches of the K70 MAX do not have basic lubrication.) Because the K70 PRO RGB was a product before these changes, the keyboard itself is a bit noisy. Keep this in mind too. One last thing to mention is that not only the problem of the keyboard switch itself, but also the problem of the RGB LED is a separate problem. The lifespan of an LED may be shorter than that of a switch. If RGB LEDs are set to white and used at maximum brightness, their lifespan will be significantly shortened. If you want to use it for a long time, lower the brightness or avoid fixed colors.
r/Corsair • Should I buy this Keyboard? Corsair K70 RGB PRO ->If you’re buying brands and want customization, keep the same* eco system. If you don’t care and just want plug and play then tbh get whatever you want that looks good to you. Personally, Corsair and Logitech are my go to. For Corsair I can’t live without the Scimitar Wireless mouse and recently I got the K65 Plus but I swapped out the stock switches for oil kings. Logitech I either run with the g502 Hero Wireless or the g305 wireless and unfortunately Logitech doesn’t believe in keyboards with 5% in them. As they only have Full, TKL, and 60. I wish they had either a 65 or a 75%. Anyways I did like the Pro X 60.
r/buildapc • Wireless mouse and keyboard recommendations? ->No clue how much corsair is nowadays but the K65 plus a kinda cheap wired mouse from them was around $215 when I bought it. I‘m not a finicky person with keyboards and mice but they were good.
r/bapcsalesaustralia • Best keyboard and mouse for $200 ->I have a K65 I loooooved my mini Ducky! but I spilled beer on it and couldn't afford a new. sad face.
r/GirlGamers • What's the best gaming keyboard widely preferred by Gamers right now? ->You can always get lucky, plus the K65's foam dampening and extra protection due to the swappable switches no doubt helps.
r/buildapcsales • [Keyboard] Logitech G915 TKL Tenkeyless Lightspeed Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Low Profile Switch Options, Lightsync RGB, Advanced Wireless and Bluetooth Support - Tactile (Black/White) - $122.77 ->I am using the Corsair K65 plus a Razer Atheris. I like the form factor of the K65 and two side utility buttons on the Atheris are all I need.
r/aoe4 • What mouse and keyboard do y'all use? Thinking of getting the g915x, no idea which mouse. ->I tried it, but every single one I bought had a ticking spacebar. If you don't know what that is, then I would avoid googling it.
r/Corsair • Thought on the k65 plus keyboard ->I have a corsair k65, works great, fully norwegian.
r/norsk • Any Norsk “gaming” keyboards? ->I'm also on a full corsair ecosystem except for monitor. Couldn't find a good price on an OLED so had to go elsewhere. Of all the mice I tested I prefer the nightsword. I have somewhat big hands and prefer a comfortable palm grip. The dark core is a good wireless alternative but I do prefer the softer textured grip of the nightsword over the more plasticky dark core. I have a newer k65 and an older full-size keyboard of theirs, unfortunately don't highly recommend either. The k65 is great with the brown switches I just don't like the 65% layout. I plan to get a k100 air some day.
