What's the general opinion on corsair refurbs? the K100 @ $100 doesn't seem too bad at first glance. My K70 from 2017 (2016 model) works fine but a few LED's have gone weird. Might be a good upgrade?

r/keyboards • What's everyone's thoughts on the Corsair K70 ->I've been using a K70 (not the same one) since 2018. Never had key caps pop off. The biggest thing I notice with these is about two years in the LEDs will randomly start to die (for example: the blue led on one switch will die out). Every K70 I've had has followed this pattern like clockwork.

r/Corsair • just bought this corsair keyboard ->This is not a mechanical keyboard if that matters. It has rubber dome switches according to the product page. As for their refurbs in general, they're probably fine. I used a K70 for years and it never had a problem. I still have it tucked away in the closet. But personally, I've moved away from such huge keyboards in order to reclaim some desk space.

I see yunzii is selling "mystery boards" for 40. I assume this won't be a screaming deal per say but if I genuinely don't know what I like is that a terrible deal? I would probably get two and see what I like and don't like, since if you order two they are guaranteed to be different. Is this dumb? Is there an obvious better thing for me to be doing? Edit. Usage would be coding and gaming, Windows desktop and laptop running cinnamon variant of mintOS.
