> The tricky bit is getting one for under $40... wish u luck i have paid more than that for shipping on a kb https://keeb-finder.com/keyboards?ms_layoutSize=60%25&rg_priceUsdMin=%5B10%2C40%5D
HE switches are great for gaming if u have a HE kb if u dont then switches are just preference and make no difference in performance
if its 2 rows then its likely an issue with your kb matrix if u have a multi meter u can test for continuality and find out of it where it is and try to repair around the break in continuality with a bridge wire
> Huat GG they are not on the trust vendor list https://www.alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/ TBH the whole kb from what i saw on thier website looks like they theme cheap things and then mark it up high and rip off the end user . dollar store products with a flashy paint job id use paypal incase u need buyer protection . that website is suspicious to me
> feels and sounds nice and doesn't require me to lube the keys myself. only u know what feels and sounds nice no one else can answer that and no kbs need lube it optional ill link the kb finder and u can sort thru ur options . u forgot to list budget ,layout , and what size kb https://keeb-finder.com/

> What happened to giveaway week? Wasn't it in December last year? who knows . and yes it was but nothing is set in stone
what he has is fine TBH sure HE ( hall effect ) kb do give a slight edge its not massive and its likely not necessary at his age
i assume ur hand making your own case ?? a custom wood case will be very expensive . pine would be the cheapest . hard wood would look the best ( walnut , wedge to name afew but again very pricey just in raw state ) . if ur not making the case your self id advise avoiding wood
If you want anything of quality, in CAD, you're going to be looking at about $70-80 or more per item here. Personally I'd recommend the Logitech G502 Hero for your mouse, it's a workhorse and you really can't go wrong with it. With respect to the keyboard, I honestly don't know of any mechanical keyboards in that price range. My Corsair K70 (which is fucking awesome btw) with Cherry MX Brown switches cost about $215 CAD before tax.
Corsair k70 is honestly the best keyboard I have ever used. Cherry red switches. Aluminium chassis. Simple media keys. USB pass though. No RGB. No software required. They have since replaced it with more "gamer" orientated versions with RGB and extra features. However. I think they have released it again under the name Lux.

Just finished cleaning my keyboard (Corsair K70 with blues, stock) and it's behaving like the tab switch is stuck down but it's not stuck down. Is this indicative of lingering moisture in the switch or a dead switch? I'm unfamiliar with the failure modes of MX blues.
I own both. The wired version. The mouse has a nice claw form if you like that sort of thing you will like the mouse. I recommend you check out Razer basilisk. I prefer it. The keyboard has good keys and if you like rgb, you will like the aesthetics. I used it for a few months but ended up getting Corsair K70 clicks keys version.
Standard Cherry Reds still have significant bottom-out and recoil noise. Typing this on my Corsair K70 with Reds, it's quite loud if I type quickly and bottom-out a lot. There are Silent Red switches or O-ring mods you can do that will significantly improve the sound, though.
