Corsair - K70 RGB PRO Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with PBT DOUBLE SHOT PRO Keycaps — CHERRY® MX SILENT

Just got it a month ago, I have the MX Silent switches and I've loved it, it's probably my 5th corsair keyboard tbh, but it definitely works for me.

Are there different switches for the k100? I specifically got k70 mk2 because of the silent switches. I really dislike the regular mechnical clicking of buttons.

It is a regular mechanical keyboard with no 'clicky' sounds. Not sure how to describe it, but it's firm. I do believe there are videos of sound tests with the various keycaps, but the ones i got were Cherry MX Silent.

Just get one that you like the most that offer cherry mx silent red switches. I use a corsair and love it.

IDK, to each their own but I just couldn't with the aesthetics of that keyboard. I bought the mentioned Corsair tournament edition a couple years back and it was a great buy, still have zero issues. The RGB is beautiful too and all of the keys still work perfectly including the lighting. Longest I've had a keyboard that hasn't had an issue considering how much I abuse it tbh. I'm not a keyboard aficionado though (I just want it to have minimal latency and look nice) so ymmv. I don't even know what you'd use the knobs / screen for. If volume, the Corsair also has a volume knob / dial on the righthand side that you can turn. I guess if you have a usecase for the 2nd knob, you want to replace the keys or you want a screen for something then yours makes sense.

Yep, I own this keyboard and it does have a volume knob / wheel on the righthand side and a mute button as well next to it.

I got this for myself last Christmas. Only complaint i have is how sensitive the keys are . I just had to get used to it

Pretty bad noise from the metal frame and also volume wheel doing random stuff but can be solve by rolling it fast (the cause is dust) but it's working well.

My corsair k70 rgb pro mechanical with brown switches is perfection. I own 3 now. My whole family uses them. Its a little over budget but its been quality. They may have cheaper models that fit the bill too.

The K70 RGB Pro is decent, but kind of overpriced for what it offers unless you really want Corsair’s ecosystem. Just browse keyboardyeti to get a sense of what else is out there—plenty of better switch and build combos around that price.

It is good, but after a few months the volume regulator has failures, it is due to dust, but it does not look good, experience.

Love it, had it for a couple years and it’s awesome! about the volume thing doing random shit: I just open the Icue app and that solves it. I hate the icue app tho…

I’m in the same boat. I had a G510 for the past 12yrs that’s barely hanging on. I don’t need the screen or macro keys but I really like the volume wheel. I’ve never had mechanical and individual RGB’s seem cool. I picked up a Corsair K70 RGB Pro which is currently on sale for $100. I researched and read that cherry mx brown switches are a good place to start. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and it’s taking some getting used to. It’s definitely a huge improvement, I’m just not a huge fan of the mx browns. I picked up a GMMK 3 barebones a few days ago for $80 and am currently waiting for an Akko switch sampler and pudding keycaps to arrive. I’ll most likely return the Corsair. It’s actually great for $100, I just wish I picked one with different switches or it was hotswap.

There's a simple solution for the volume wheel. Unplug the keyboard, then start spinning the volume wheel really quickly in both directions. Repeat the procedure a couple of times, then plug the keyboard back in. The only issue is that the fix is not permanent and needs to be repeated every couple of weeks or so.

I liked it so much that I bought a K95 for the house and took this one to work. Keep it clean, it'll come with a pry tool for the keys, I keep mine covered when not in use and dust it every few months. Dust can make its way into the caps and if it builds up you risk key chatter (multiple entries for one press). Neither board has shown any RGB issue with color or responsiveness. Mine are both several years old now and still doing great.

Would really like Corsair to re-release the keyboard with hotswap sockets, cherry MX2, and better adhesive/ larger rubber pads for the armrest (like the size the keyboard uses). All while keeping the same price. I also had an OG Tramp stamp Corsair K70 RGB with MX Browns that I loved literally to death. Had a couple RGB LED's go out, had the spacebar switch die. Fixed the switch. Eventually the RGB Led problem got soo bad that I attempted to explore what happened. In the end without actually finding the problem with the RGB a ribbon cable died. lived 9 years.

I love it, a part the noise of mechanical keyboards but this is the price you have to pay for speed and precision.

I’ve been using the K70 since Corsair released their first generation. IMO the first Gen was a bit better but I also have this model and love it. I love the Brown switch, as I use it for gaming and work to type.

I had this one before upgrading to the K100! Served me well and without issue for like 2-3 years and purely upgraded just because I could! If you like the switch type and everything you're bound to love it!

I've used mine for a couple of years now (without the wrist rest, but that's neither here nor there). I enjoy it a lot! I don't use it to change volume since I have a similar wheel on my Virtuoso headset, but I will say the wheels on both the headset and the keyboard vary wildly in how much they change the volume with every turn. I love the clack sound the keys make, haven't had any complaints that anyone in discord calls can hear it on my mic. The keys feel satisfying to me with single press actuation, the caps are easy to take off and clean as well as put back on. You definitely won't go wrong with this keyboard.

I had this same experience which made me upset. I don't have any reason for the skip track buttons, so I actually programmed them to volume up, down, and mute since they are no where else

Bought myself one for Christmas that was defective out of the box, but their support worked insanely fast to replace it with a new one. New one works great but I really dislike the icue app.

it's a good one, it's not like custom made 3000 dollars quality but it's super nice and it will cover all your needs. It's pretty as well!

Bought and returned this thing is ass… you have to push these keys to their full depth to register and the travel is far. Returned and bought corsairs new K70 pro with addressable actuation point.

K70 pro is pretty good. My mouse is the scimitar elite it’s fine not the best but solid.

Hi, currently using a K70 Pro from Corsair with Corsair OPX switches, my gf is constantly annoyed by the noise. I want to finally take the first step and build my own MK buy I have 0 experience and tools for soldering. I wanna know what I need to build a : 100% full size keyboard ISO FR layout that need to be silent ! I wanna avoid the all black looks, I prefer the white color. Anyone willing to guide me ?

I have the Corsair K70 Pro it’s $180 I know it’s more but honestly look don’t cheap out. Trust me it’s worth the $30 $40 bucks!!

Ive been using the same corsair vengeance k70 from 2013 all this time. It still works like new, no idea if they still sell it but the k70 line is still fine enough I hear. I would say grab a refurbished one because that's just a good deal. For a mouse I just use the Scimitar because it's useful for FF14 and certain actions in applications.

That one has game specific presets,  right?  I used a Corsair at the demo booth for Deep Rock Galactic, and throwing a flare caused a flare of white light from around that key. Looked so cool.

They also had a massive keyboard display, where they had synced them up to display moving images across like, 16 of them.  I bet there's somewhere to get presets. 

:/ No gasket, no foam, no VIA, *no hot swap*. Hard pass.

I've been using a K70 (not the same one) since 2018. Never had key caps pop off. The biggest thing I notice with these is about two years in the LEDs will randomly start to die (for example: the blue led on one switch will die out). Every K70 I've had has followed this pattern like clockwork.

Yeah, dunno. Just an odd thing. Their triangles fail on me constantly also. Those are my two biggest grips with all the Corsair shit I have.

My Corsair k70 finally died and I've been wanting to check out the less gamer looking options. I see yunzii is selling "mystery boards" for 40. I assume this won't be a screaming deal per say but if I genuinely don't know what I like is that a terrible deal? I would probably get two and see what I like and don't like, since if you order two they are guaranteed to be different. Is this dumb? Is there an obvious better thing for me to be doing? Edit. Usage would be coding and gaming, Windows desktop and laptop running cinnamon variant of mintOS.

razer keyboard? gl winning the lottery system of whether ur razer keyboard gonna have keys that are double-registering/non-responsive within 1-2 years consider cosair k70 or pile your budget higher for a custom built one to last

Inhave the k70 prontkl and it's solid. I settled for the g50x plus for a mouse but have thoughts about finding a corsair equivalent for icue May try the nightsabre but idk

I like the Corsair K70. Loved it so much I bought it for my wife and my mom.

You should ask here as well: /r/MechanicalKeyboards/ I would probably go a more standard size keyboard and not a 60%/65%. Something like the Corsair K70 is nice, pretty solid keyboard, 100% and relatively inexpensive. Cleaning it is a bit easier as it's an open design. I personally use a KeyChron that's like full metal, and they have a wide range of sizes 60/65/100 etc. A bit more expensive. You just have to keep using it and playing games. Just like when you first used a controller..and you can still use a controller on your PC as well for certain games.

Hello I own a K70 Corsair keyboard since 2015 I think. I think it time to change it. it still works fine but super dirty. I was thinking about some TKL keyboards but have no idea what would be an actual "upgrade" feel without breaking my pocket. Any suggestions? Gaming/Working usually.

Best gaming Keyboard Please help. I know norhing about good keyboards. I spilled a drink over my Corsair K70. and now I'm searching a new keyboard. I use it in my homeoffice, so a numpad is mandatory for me. I like RGB, and I'f like to have a nice sound. Thinking about something like an Akko 5098b maybe? Any help is appreciated.

Likewise, I know it's a logitech subreddit, but I highly recommend the Corsair K70. I think I got mine on sale for $100 at the beginning of the year. Brought it home, hopped online with my buddies, and it turns out 3 of them have the same keyboard and all swear by it, too.
