Based on 1 year's data from Feb 15, 2026 How it works
I personally own a K95 from 2016 and the keyboard itself still operates as new despite some minor wear on the key cap lettering. The wrist rest is another story, it's worn down and old but I'm crocky about replacing things unless I absolutely have to. I was looking at upgrading my keyboard and mouse this year since it's been 10 years now but I am split between Corsair and Logitech for this. I am usually a big Corsair fan but seeing these posts make me wonder if I just got lucky with how solid my hardware from them has been for the last 10 years of constant use. For reference, I use my computer at minimum for 4 hours a day if not more, usually leaning towards more, only times I don't use it daily is when I am on vacation or something. Big gamer, also use it for my audio/video work, and honestly I'm surprised how well it has held up this entire time. I guess I will have to see how their current lineup holds since I want another long lasting mouse and keyboard combo.
I personally love corsair keyboards, first mechanical was a k55, then a k95 rgb platinum, now on a k100 rgb platinum. I
I've been hunting through subreddits for gaming keyboard recommendations for a few days now and I'm not finding ones that match my needs. Everyone seems to be obsessed with miniature and minimalist keyboards, but I absolutely hate those. I need a full size keyboard with a full number pad and preferably some macro keys. I've had a Corsair K95 with MX Brown switches for around 10 years, I love it but it's starting to break down on me and I really want something more modern. The K100 is too expensive.. I've seen Keychron recommended a lot but I personally find them to be really ugly. I see Reddragon a lot too, but some of their other products I've used felt cheaply built in the past. I'm currently eyeing the Wooting Two HE, it's at the top of my budget but I like how it looks and it has the keypad. I'm willing to sacrifice the macro keys but I'm worried that the (seemingly) insanely impressive performance might be counterintuitive for me. I'm a gamer who works from home so I'm on my computer 10-16 hours a day, but I don't play competitive games at all. Does the performance of Wooting keyboards end up being too quirky for users who don't game competitively, and if so, is there a better option out there for someone like me?
So I bought the Wooting Two HE, and I'm instantly feeling like I don't like it. The keys are really heavy and mushy, and not tactile at all. It could be something that I'll get used to over time but the heaviness of the keys worries me. They take significantly more force to press than my Corsair keyboard and I already suffer from finger strain especially in my pinky fingers. I'll give it a week or two to see if it grows on me but the lack of tactile-ness is giving me the bad brain feelings. Also the wrist rest accessory not only functionally useless it's uncomfortable too.
Same. Just replaced the worn keys, but works great still.
> I have a full size keyboard with macro keys on the left I love my K95, the extra macro keys (bound to F13 onwards) are great for extra shortcuts that have no chance of stepping on any existing shortcuts.
300$ for a high end keyboard is not that much as you think. I've had 95 plat and now k100 optix and not a single issue. 2021.09.16 (MM/DD) and still going strong. Switched the keycaps to pudding ones for more rgb.
Hoping to get some help here, I am looking to purchase a new keyboard as I have been upgrading peripherals. I have used the Corsair K95 for about 7 years and it has been great but keys are starting to break and I want something higher quality/newer. It has been quite overwhelming as I dipped my toe into the rabbit hole and just want straight up answers. I understand that it’s about preference but I don’t have time to test each one individually, nor watch countless videos. I’m hoping to not have to make a change for at least a couple years. Budget: $50-$250 Games: CS, Deadlock, StarCraft/Warcraft, BF6, WoW, EFT, Dark and Darker, etc. Size: 75% (I think, looking for suggestions for best performance for my situation) Hoping to get it ASAP, thank you to everyone!
Been using the K95 platinum for years, seriously solid keyboard. This keyboard would have been a 10/10 experience but iCUE.
K95 and Nightsword mouse have been fantastic for me since moving to Linux a couple years ago. No software is needed but ckb-next is available in most repositories afaik (dnf's for sure) to configure most Corsair devices and their lighting.
TBH I still haven’t found a reason to replace my K95 with brown switches. I would love to have something newer with Hall effect switches but the wait continues. I agree the lack of iCue support is an odd choice. I tried the g915x and it was really well built but I can’t get behind the half height keys.
