I’ve been using it for almost 2 months now. I was interested in buying a HE keyboard but wasn’t sure to spend a lot of money on one. I saw good reviews on this one and it was at a great discounted price in my country. The quality is ok at best. It's made out of cheap plastic, and the keycaps' shine through is nonexistent. However, the performance it's there, all the customization and features that you may need. I'm very happy with my purchase and if it is going to be your first HE keyboard it's pretty good

for a he board id look at something like the epomaker he68 or the aula 68he those are both around 50 usd, so u could get 70 owlab ti he switches to get a significantly cleaner sound if u want to mod ur board. for a non he board epomakers galaxy series are good options, but id also just recommend scrolling thru hippyotech videos till u find a board that u think sounds and looks nice

To be quite frank, 8khz polling on a keyboard is more or less a scam. 1khz is around .375ms of extra delay over 8khz on average, and considering even on a 500hz monitor your frame times are still 2ms, you aren't gonna notice a difference, especially as there's no added smoothness like there might be with a higher polling rate mouse. For your budget I'd focus on finding a he board with decent software and rt/socd implementation rather than chasing 8khz cause the driver is gonna impact your experience more than the polling rate ever could As for my experience, I've had a wooting 2he, epomaker 68he and venom tkl, and even tho the venom is the best pcb on paper there was no noticeable performance difference between the three

The accuracy and latency of most he boards is very similar If you want better accuracy than he tmr is the way to go Wooting (imo) is overpriced, not ahead of anyone performance wise, and the software is fine but lacks basic macro support. The reason people praise wootings software is cause its better than the utter garbage some alternatives launched with (look up iquinx ez63 reviews for example) I havent tried all he boards, but epomaker and geons venom he pcbs have software that is serviceable and better than wootility respectively On top of that wootings boards don't sound or feel particularly good to type on, especially considering the price tag

Wooting was the first to get he on the market, and now people use what they got used to Also there's some people (like tenz in valorant for example) that modded their boards to be incredible The point is more that wooting delivers a "mid" product for a premium price, which was fine when there was no alternative (thats why i got my wooting) For alternatives if recommend the epomaker 68he as a cheaper option (around 55 usd) A tiger lite gaming with owlab ti he switches as a more premium option (which ends up around 180 usd depending on vendors, keycaps and exact config) If you want a metal case u could go for something like a venom 60 he in a Tofu redux, a Tofu tkl he or a venom tkl he in one of the many tkl cases on the market (at that point you might end up above the 80he zinc, custom keyboard cases can get very pricey)
