I've had good luck with the evga z15. It's been kind of hit/miss with availability and pricing. Not too bad currently under $60 on amazon. It's wired, full size but also rgb so not sure if that's a deal breaker. I do use it illuminated but dimmed down so it's not ridiculously bright. One of the perks, uses standard key caps and switches are replaceable and cherry-mx compatible. So many of the various cherry, kailh, gateron etc will fit. I wore through the original key caps after around a year, replaced with drop keycaps and a set of ranked rubberized I think they were, for the qwer, asdf and zxcv keys. Minimal media keys with rewind/ff skips, mute and play/pause with a small volume roller that sits out of the way. Keychron and wooting are good brands as well if they've got ones you prefer.

No. I like the EVGA Z15. If you like the extra keys, there's always the Z20. Software is meh, but the build quality on my Z15 is very nice and i paid €36 for it. Hotswitch and full RGB. Metal case n all. At the time I paired it with an EVGA mouse, but I learned those suck the hard way. Keyboard is pretty nice.

Terrible latency on the Reddragon. In general mechanical switches can be just as bad as rubber dome based, but they have the greatest potential usually of the two. If youre going to get that then just get a used Evga Z20 or Z15. New Z15s can be had on amazon for 34 bucks and will give you much better latency. And different mechanical switches will bode faster speeds based on teh actuation tech used. So optical switches are very fast and hall effect sensors, but probably a bit more expensive in general, whereas speed switches based on simple mechanical design can compete. Just not always as well. Its one of the best sites out there.
