Right now I have a Glorious GMMK Pro w/ pre-lubed panda switches, and it's been my setup for a little over 2 years now. I like the feel of them, but I want something a little quieter and maybe a little lighter/lower activation force. I'm a newbie when it comes to switches, mods, and really anything keyboards. Price isn't much of a factor, I would rather have nice switches that last me a long time. I have been recommended banana milks & akko v3 lavender. Does anybody have opinions on these? Would you recommend something else? Would it be beneficial to mod my keyboard?

I am fairly new to customizing mechanical keyboards. I bought the GMMK pro when it was on sale for $100, but I am finding the layout a bit cramped. My previous mechanical keyboards, all stock, had a bit more spacing between the keys/switches. Are there any 75% hot swappable keyboards that offer a bit more room/spacing between the keys compared to the standard 75% layout most keyboards use? I already have switches and caps ordered so a base keyboard/kit would be fine as well. I'd probably replace whatever comes with it anyways.

I used a GMMK Pro for a while, and eventually got tired of it. Bought a Gravastar Mercury K1 Pro Special Edition and absolutely love it. I swapped out the linear switches that came in it for Zealios V2's, but honestly, the stock switches sounded incredible. Might try lubing the Zealios switches at some point.

There are far better alternatives than Glorious. This is coming from someone who's first build was a GMMK Pro, the first version of this keyboard. I had to purchase a seperate flex kit from them and finish it off with new stabs in order to make it sound and feel relatively decent. Despite buying the board AFTER the overlubing issues were fixed, I still got one with insanely sticky stabs. I just replaced them with durock V3 stabs but I had to file down the polycarbonate plate to get them to fit. The overall build was over 300 dollars, including the price of the top frame, flex kit, new stabs, and new switches and caps. Compare this to a several other keyboards I bought for way less and sounded and felt much better out the gate. I have a GK Gamakay SN75, Akko 5075B, and Batknight BK75, and all of them sound and felt better for the price they were at. And the best part is they came complete at less than 100-110 usd. The gmmk barebones I bought was 134 usd and didn't have switches or caps. Don't buy from these gaming companies unless value for money is truly just not a concern.

Custom GMMK Pro 75% keyboard, using VIA when needed. Mouse is a Pulsar X2h mini, using on-board memory since no app for Linux.

Depends on what games you plan to play for, for the mouse at least. Either a g502 or if you want to play fps I’d recommend the gpro superlight. For the keyboard you can have some fun as performance is about the same across the board, personally I’d get the gmmk pro 75% just for ease and you can experiment with different switches and keycaps.

A gasket mount board with 0 flex is not normal. The main issue I have with the GMMK Pro is that it's a gasket mount board, but with 0 flex. Everything us so tight with the included foam, that you need to remove it to get any flex. But removing it means the board sounds really pingy. They even released a V2 bottom "flex kit", to be able to achieve the desired results. They are marketing as an upgrade, while it should be a fix. $80 on an already overpriced board, is quite the gut punch.
