keychron c3 pro hotswap version if you are fine with wired only keychron v3 max if you absolutely need trimode 2.4g dongle/Bluetooth and wired

for that budget you could get a keychron c3 pro hotswap on amazon for $55 (if you are in the us) keychron is a known brand for custom mechanical keyboards The drop boards are not great (the entr is not hotswap, and the alt is just alright), the wobkey boards have issues like not having a stabilizer hole in the pcb firmware issues and never heard of gamakay

Err I've never had a problem with any keyboard's response time, but this one is wired and has a 1000hz polling rate if that helps.

What’s your budget? I have the Keychron C3 at work and it’s pretty good.

i have a keychron c3 pro, and after i spammed some keys (not sure which), the lights became dimmer. on the one color setting, rather than being orange, it was purple. i am relatively new to mechanical keyboards, so please be patient. i am on linux so some solutions might not work for me. thanks! https://preview.redd.it/su33duno7nof1.png?width=710&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb76e947ab117ee8962c74d002c72d5a2ce6c00e

if qc is a priority i would stick to something that has less points of failure (as often cheap hotswap wireless boards from oem brands like ajazz, cidoo, redragon, aula use low quality pcbs and sockets) such as a keychron c3 pro or lemokey x3/4/5/6

Consider: Keychron C3 Pro TKL, Durgod Taurus K320 TKL, WASD Code V3 TKL. The Keychron is a daily driver now, stunningly high quality for its price.

My first recommendation would be to look at Keychron. People do have their valid criticisms but their mid-tier lineup is pretty exceptional for the price. Recently I picked up a TKL from their R line, which has an 1800 layout, and I tried to be as critical as possible and walked away really happy with it. It has backlight, a tri-mode pcb, decent switches, and keychron put out acceptable keycaps with their prebuilts. The boards are hotswap so if you want to experiment with other switches it is easy to do so. I also have a Q6 Max and both of these boards are pretty well foamed out so you're going to get a muted sound. Not silent but also not loud. Their K10 Max I also feel is excellent value for the features.

As you are saying, the reason why you need to replace your keyboard is because you are buying cheaper keyboards. It's probably worth spending 150£ on one that will last you 5 years and that you will change because you want to rather than because you need to! I'd check into keychron UK and look at their mechanical keyboards. They are great quality and if you get a hotswapable keyboard you will not only be able to change the keycaps but also the switches themselves.
