"They are great quality ... It's probably worth spending 150£ on one that will last you 5 years and that you will change because you want to rather than because you need to!"

"HE features are super useful in games ... They're generally better for gaming because of customisation and stuff like analogue input and rapid trigger."
"So far the only "real gamer" keyboard to date to be considered is the recent HE variants due to its rapid trigger feature ... more specifically targetted towards fps players that are willing to tinker each and every key press on how they want it to respond. ... Most HE variants offers all keys to be modified if desired since the very switches themselves have the HE features, so some would only changed the main WASD and others would utitlized tinkering the whole keys ... this is mostly catered towards fps players that have the intent on tinkering."

This is a fine answer - depending on budget... QMK/VIA more than doubles my price though, sadly. The AJazz Ak820_max_plus_retro is a 75% keyboard. I wish I had bought a TKL layout because it doesn't drop standard keys - can easily add a numpad but you can't add a direct key for ScrollLock/Printscreen etc which I used extensively for shortcuts. If you have to press Fn key to access ScrollLock, then any kind of Meta_ shortcut is disabled, because that just 'locks WIN' - for gamers and annoying for anyone else. However, the abovementioned switches make it instantly office friendly with a familiar tactile bump, similar to many laptop and membrane keyboards. The keyboard cost me ฿1499, whilst the cheapest available QMK keyboards around here... I was tempted by the Keychron K10 - full sized, silent keys, but ฿4,400 is just too much over the price of ฿1,490 which can type REALLY nicely already... The silent tactile ('feels like an upgraded version of a Logitech K270 or similar OEM profile with tactility offered by silicone domes) switches cost me $11 US so the total price (฿1,490 plus ฿365) was still under $50 US. So you do pay a fair bit extra for software.
r/keyboards • Looking for a full sized keyboard. ->V6 wired / V6 Max if you want wireless (also comes with the problem of built-in battery that will eventually degrade / fail). K10 Pro is a good basic board, but... it's basic. No gasket - it is much harsher with less dampening than the V6 / Q6. I use mine as a backup / testbed board for new switches and keycaps. Also, no knob.
r/keyboards • looking for a good 100% keyboard ->Keychron V6 Max or Q6 with Outemu Silent Ice Snow (linear) or Silent Tom (tactile) switches. K10 (I have a Pro) is decent but very basic, no gasket and no knob, a simple tray mounted board. I have Outemu Silent Peach V2s in that. Edit: the quietest silent switches I tried are Outemu Ice Snow and TTC Frozen V2. Both are 40-45g linears, I replaced the springs with 60g ones. Haimu Heartbeat is incredibly loud (for a silent), so is Kailh Whale TTC Bluish and anything that uses those weird plastic bits on the stem instead of silicone pad inserts.
r/keyboards • Silent Keyboard Recommendation for Office/Gaming ->Keychron K10 Pro. It has regular reds, silent reds, and browns. I own the silent reds version and I love mine for work. Bought mine for $80 on Prime Day sale, I bet you could get a similar deal on Black Friday.
r/keyboards • Full Size Mechanical Keyboard in the 70-100$ price range ->For gaming, really anything with an HE on the end. Q HE are high-end, K HE are less fancy, but still very nice imo. There's almost no reason to buy a non-HE Keychron keyboard for gaming. Cost is about the same, HE features are super useful in games, and the switches sound pretty good now.
r/Keychron • best keychron for gaming ->Keychron K10 HE? Otherwise wait for Lemokey to launch a full size HE board. It's Keychron's gaming brand lol. The L1 HE I have sounds a whole lot better than the other Keychron K series HE boards I have. Unfortunately, even Keychron's Q HE boards all have south facing RGBs...it's slim pickings for you 100% stans already, adding north-facing backlighting adds a whole new level of complexity lol. Otherwise, grab something like a Lemokey L1 HE and a separate NUM pad?
r/keyboards • 100% keyboards (100%, NOT 96%) with north facing LEDs recommendation ->Oh yeah, the base K10 does have north-facing LEDs. So does the K10 V2 QMK (the better option because customisation). If you want the wireless features of the Max series, go for the K10 HE (hall-effect). Limits your switch options to Gateron double-rail HE switches, but they're good switches, and you obviously get all the benefits of HE, which is great if you like to tinker.

r/keyboards • 100% keyboards (100%, NOT 96%) with north facing LEDs recommendation ->I've had a good experience with my K4 HE, and that's been great. I'd much rather use a Q HE series or a Lemokey L or P HE keyboard, because the aluminium chassis sounds and feels a decent bit better, but the K HE series is great nonetheless. The K10 HE is a solid affordable option for full-size HE.
r/keyboards • How good is the Keychron K10 He ->I've had a good experience with my K4 HE, and that's been great. r/keyboards • How good is the Keychron K10 He ->Just bought the K10 HE (same switches as the Q6 HE) and it's quiet, with a nice thock. The keystrokes are smooth - currently, K10 HE is my favorite keyboard (previously, I've had red (Filco) and topre (hhkb).
r/keyboards • Good quiet keyboard? ->I have a keychron k10 pro and my better half had an epomaker brick80, I honestly like hers better, the sound is absolutely perfect.
r/buildapc • Best keyboard for under $120? ->The keyboard rabbit hole is one that I had no idea was infinitely deep when I was looking for a new keyboard. After literal weeks of watching reviews and reading about all the different types of switches, I settled on the Keychron Q5HE. That one is out of your budget, but they have the K10 HE on amazon right now for 135. Keychron make great keyboards
r/buildapc • Looking for a good keyboard ->I do love the K10HE, in fact I’m looking at it right now. I have it nearby for when I feel like using a full sized one or when I wanna game a bit.
r/keyboards • Best Keyboard You Can Buy in 2025 (Price, Sound, Size) ->Just wanted to note that Keychron K10 is known to have a ton of bluetooth related issues if that would be a deal breaker. I actually stumbled on this post trying to replace mine. I had bluetooth issues just a few months after I purchased it but I was mostly using it wired back then so I didn't really care. It's perfectly fine if used wired but my new setup isn't exactly wire friendly which is why I'm now looking to replace it.
r/MacStudio • What's the best MECHANICAL KEYBOARD commonly loved today? ->if you want the closest to IBM model then full size ones are the best, K10,V6,Q6. the regular, pro, and max indicates the option of connectivities, with regular wired only, pro add an option of Bluetooth, and max add 2.4 ghz on top of those two. Make sure to find the hot swappable model if you want to change the switches. Those extra buttons that looked like PS buttons are programable macro keys that u can bind to anything. Heads up, the "mute microphone" button is a cortana/siri button, though it being keychron u can easily reprogram those. As for the shocks from metal casing, K series uses plastic, while the shocks themselves usually come from ungrounded electricity rather than the keyboard themselve so might wanna check that out.
r/Keychron • What would be the best Keychron for me? ->Some notes: Aluminum boards will not have feet. Plastic ones will. The K10 Pro is what started my obsession. Stick to QMK VIA boards and you can do whatever you like in the long run. I then moved on to a Q6 Pro, while i thought I was happy, it was too big in the end and I found that the Q5Max was my happy place. Should you get any of the Q series, you will soon learn to love or hate the KSA keycap profile. I hate it, plus keychrons caps are a little thin and cheep ish feeling so going into any Keychron, I know that I’m going change both the caps and the switches out to others that I prefer. ATM that’s Ceramic caps and Tactile Swithes. (Everyfree Greyish). All that said, after a year of trying most stuff out there, I still chose Keychron because you get a great base for where the hobby leads you.
r/keyboards • Recommendation for a Great Full-Size Keyboard - Save me from the K55! ->My favorites are: Keychron K10 HE Lofree Flow 100 Epomaker Galaxy 100 IQUNIX Magi 96
r/MacStudio • What's your top pick of mechanical keyboard now that you'd say it's worth buying? ->I like my keychron k10 pro with glorious translucent caps. It's a customizable workhouse with rainbow lights
r/GirlGamers • What's the best gaming keyboard widely preferred by Gamers right now? ->Get a keyboard you like with swappable switches & put in the switches you like. I just got a k10 max as my first & out in ouremu peach v3 silent switches I found different sound tests on YouTube eg https://youtu.be/IvxGnt47JFE?si=YdZ84SHk0OckFXsW https://youtu.be/yMyFXpRABF0?si=-HDvqVlp4axkppO- https://youtube.com/shorts/uaYYXcfsDxM?si=Hi28YYVL8uPnHXEl https://youtu.be/lnpyVnuh8tE?si=-EDWV1Dmt3grvpvT
r/keyboards • Are there any good silent out of the box mech keyboards? ->I just got the black special edition and I really like it. It feels and sounds much better than my stock gmmk2.
r/Keychron • Keychron K2 HE? ->r/MechanicalKeyboards and r/MouseReview would be better to ask specific questions. Wooting 80he is what I have, and I like it, mainly got it cause of the software. Keychron has a pretty nice he wood one. If you search on YouTube, budget wooting, there are alot of decent HE keyboards on the market now, and they all basically do the same thing. I can't help you with mice because I don't know what grip style you like/have. All I know is that you like the viper mini SE so I showed you all the mice with similar shapes to that mice. There's literally nothing else I can do for you. I got the incott g23 v2 because i like the gpx 2 shape but its half the price for better quality.
r/buildapc • Best mice and keyboard on the market rn? ->Looking at the history of this sub over the past year you'll see a heck of a lot more failures from the Q and V boards relative to the K boards. Of course, that *could* just mean Keychron is selling a lot more Q and V boards than K boards. Otherwise, the biggest difference you'll feel/hear will be coming from the difference between steel plate + tray mount and PC plate + gasket mount.
r/Keychron • What is the best Keychron for me (PC Gaming + Work on Mac)? ->V and Q are flexible/gasket, K is rigid/tray. Hall Effect switches are another can of worms. They are peak hype right now. Eventually people will realize they are actually *cheaper* to implement than contact-based switches.
r/Keychron • What is the best Keychron for me (PC Gaming + Work on Mac)? ->Wooting or Keychrons Hall effect keyboards are amazing, I thought it wouldn’t change that much but I really don’t like normal keyboards after it.
r/pcmasterrace • Which keyboard would be better to go with? (more in description) ->For wireless keyboard I'd look for those that have qmk/via such as the Keychron
r/linux_gaming • Which gaming hardware companies (mouse/keyboard/headset) have their software officially compatible with Linux? ->Their new HE series seems promising for gaming.
r/linux_gaming • Which gaming hardware companies (mouse/keyboard/headset) have their software officially compatible with Linux? ->I bought a Q3 Max with red switches and it was very silent. Be aware, Keychron HE keeb is compatible only with its own HE switches. For me it was a no-go.
r/keyboards • Good quiet keyboard? ->I have a Wooting, I love it compared to the previous 3 SteelSeries keyboards I had/have. I do however think it's a little overpriced at the end of the day. I'd probably go with a Keycron HE today if I was shopping
r/steelseries • Best steelseries keyboard currently? ->If you're casually playing games then Keychron is all fine. So far the only "real gamer" keyboard to date to be considered is the recent HE variants due to its rapid trigger feature but that is more specifically targetted towards fps players that are willing to tinker each and every key press on how they want it to respond.
r/keyboards • Is keychron a good gamer keyboard? ->Most HE variants offers all keys to be modified if desired since the very switches themselves have the HE features, so some would only changed the main WASD and others would utitlized tinkering the whole keys - but again, this is mostly catered towards fps players that have the intent on tinkering.
r/keyboards • Is keychron a good gamer keyboard? ->The Keychron HE series are fantastic all-rounder keyboards. They are having a sale that ends today.
r/linux_gaming • What’s the best mechanical keyboard in 2025? Any recommendations? ->As you are saying, the reason why you need to replace your keyboard is because you are buying cheaper keyboards. It's probably worth spending 150£ on one that will last you 5 years and that you will change because you want to rather than because you need to! I'd check into keychron UK and look at their mechanical keyboards. They are great quality and if you get a hotswapable keyboard you will not only be able to change the keycaps but also the switches themselves.
