Go wooting or keychron v max/q max series. Razer is overpriced and steelseries too. If the hall effect is really needed and don't want a wooting then keychron q he, nuphy field 75he and drunkdeer a75 exist

I can only recommend too. Keychron is fantastic. Got myself a Q3 Max (I wanted wireless) with the Gateron Jupiter Red switches, it is extremely silent. They have wired models which would be in your budget

I tried both 515 and 915 logitech and they are terrible, they feel and sound very cheap, returned them immediately. Dont know about asus tho... I ended up getting a Keychron q3 max, check it out.

I’m in love with Keychron Q HE series. I’m using a Q1 HE while waiting for a Q3 HE from Taobao for 200 shipped. Q5 HE is the full sized option and was similarly priced.

I'd say the Q5 HE (96%), Q1 HE (75%) or Q3 HE (80%) for gaming if you want to pay that, for typing they're great too, unless you want them to be silent. Because HE keyboards let you set actuation points it could enhance not only your gaming, but also typing experience. But as I said, it also comes at the cost of less switch options for feeling/sound. Lemokey P1 is awesome for the price and with your budget it's easy to get it barebones and make it more silent by buying switches and keycaps seperately. I don't really like the OSA keycap profile that my Q1 He and V6 Max came with, doesn't bother me with gaming, but it does with typing, I make more mistakes and it also slowed me down. It's pretty easy to buy a barebones and buy switches and keycaps you like for anything other than HE keyboards, as the switches for HE need to be Gateron Dual-Rail switches. I haven't customized my Q1 HE, but am customizing my V6 max for work. Bought Akko Fairy Silent switches and TTC Silent Frozen V2 switches with a cherry profile keycap set. For size I'd go for whatever you can miss, if you really don't need the numpad than 75 or 80% will be great.

Just like the other comments in this post, I very very highly recommend keychron's keyboard. There's a very wide variety of different models and prices to choose from, however I believe it's best to stick with their more premium and popular choices. For me, I would go for thr keychron Q3 max. I believe it's overpriced and should be slightly cheaper (it'd 320 AUD in Australia, I think it'd better to be 300 or 280 max) but for it's quality, itd insanely worth it. You can't go wrong with it, and it's highly customisable in case you have different preferences

I have a TKL Keychron (80ish%) and the keys are okay. I am currently looking at other keys caps to see if there is a profile that will work better. The problem is that I don't have a store around where I can go play. So I have to wait until I travel for work to find stores. The stock keys work fine. But hot swap capabi means I can change them when I want, I am not stuck with them. I agree with others that either brown would be the best option for his dual use. I initially went with reds thinking I would like the smoothness. I ended up hitting too many keys. The brown reduced that issue (in a heavy typer).

For gaming, really anything with an HE on the end. Q HE are high-end, K HE are less fancy, but still very nice imo. There's almost no reason to buy a non-HE Keychron keyboard for gaming. Cost is about the same, HE features are super useful in games, and the switches sound pretty good now.

Monsgeek M5 is IMO the most endgame 100% keyboard that is currently in stock. It's gasket mount which is good for the creamy sound. The other alternative is Keychron Q / Q Pro / Q Max which has a knob. If you are going for budget, Keychron V6 Max is a really good deal. There are some other choices but I think Keychron leads on features. Either way you'll probably need switches. Keychron has the Brown or Banana switches. Brown is more creamy IMO. But neither has that creamy sound. Monsgeek I don't think comes prebuilt usually.

Gaming mechanical keyboards come with different key switches that are a lot down to preference. In short, you have "linear" (very light to press), "tactile" (light initial resistance when pressing) and "clicky" (similar to tactile but with a loud click, you love or hate it) For a mixed gaming / office keyboard I would recommend a tactile. It's a bit easier for typing and not too noisy. The switches are commonly referred as "brown" as some popular makers use that color classification. Also look for "hot-swap" boards, it means the switches can be easily replaced for another type. Many big-brand flashy gaming models don't bother to offer that unfortunately. The quality of the case will influence how noisy the keyboad is (e.g. with more dampening inside). Stuff like RGB lighting or wireless tend to be common options nowdays. The keychron V (plastic case, cheaper) and Q (aluminium, premium, like a tank) series with brown switches are excellent all-purpose choices although not maketed as gaming. They are derived in different sizes (look for a 100% for numpad) and connectivity option.

I have a Wooting, I love it compared to the previous 3 SteelSeries keyboards I had/have. I do however think it's a little overpriced at the end of the day. I'd probably go with a Keycron HE today if I was shopping

If you're casually playing games then Keychron is all fine. So far the only "real gamer" keyboard to date to be considered is the recent HE variants due to its rapid trigger feature but that is more specifically targetted towards fps players that are willing to tinker each and every key press on how they want it to respond.

Most HE variants offers all keys to be modified if desired since the very switches themselves have the HE features, so some would only changed the main WASD and others would utitlized tinkering the whole keys - but again, this is mostly catered towards fps players that have the intent on tinkering.
