Please be gentle, I'm a new to all of this... I recently dove into the world of mechanical keyboards and after a ton of reviews and deciding I didn't want to bite the entire budget at once I purchased the cheapest and best reviewed keyboard available the "Kisnt 85". The thing just feels so premium. It sounds creamy, it's a joy to type on, and really feels solid from start to finish. Using the stock keycaps and what I've only been able to research as the BSUN switches. Not sure what type, weight, ect. All I know is that I'm smiling the entire time I'm typing. Which is pretty much all day. Only issue is that I have a bunch of duplicates because I rest my hand on homerow and it's a fairly light switch I think. So now I'm all in, obsessed and needed something more low profile for my travels. ENTER my first Nuphy which just arrived today. The Air96 V2 with Cowberry Switches...and I must say my experience has been underwhelming? The sound and feel are both so "hollow" to me. Feels "cheaper" if that is way to describe the way it feels and sounds? I'm used to low profile coming from magic keyboards on mac for years but the joys of those BSUN switches have left this one feeling like it may have been a waste or I chose the wrong switch. HOWEVER - I come to the experts on Reddit to help me decipher if there are v2 low profile switches in the wild that may help me achieve the same level of love and joy of my $40 keyboard and those BSUN switches. TIA to all who are willing to listen and help.
Hi. The Aula is nice. The Fizz sucks, in my opinion. I recommend the Kisnt KN85 over the Aula because the sound and typefeel is better at a lower cost. If you want the best that you can get for under $100, get the Bridge75.
I would choose the Kisnt over the Aula. I hadn't heard that it's slow.
Kisnt KN85. $39. It's a 75% keyboard. Better than Aula F75. Uses proprietary software though. Also very nice is the Redragon K709 wired-only version. It's a 65% keyboard. I've seen it for $29.
The Bridge75 is the best prebuilt you can get for under $100 in the US. But I don't know how much it costs where you live. It's not particularly quiet, though. And it has an ansi layout. I always recommend the Kisnt KN85 as the best starter mechanical keyboard because the sound and typing experience is so excellent, and you can get it for under $40 in the US. But it is not silent, and it doesn't come with VIA software. If you require ISO, Keychron has the most layout options. But they are expensive.
The best keyboard under $100 is the Bridge75. You can get it on divinikey.com. The best under $40 is the Kisnt KN85. You can get it on Amazon.
The best you can get for under $40 is the Kisnt KN85. (That's the price on amazon). Best under $30 is the wired only version of the Redragon K709.
