Keycaps are in general what you have to look into for yourself and test, because that makes a big difference with mechanical keyboards. You need to check what suits you best and what click noise level and sensitivity you prefer. As with everything deciding what to get in the end is highly subjective. I’ve had pretty much every keyboard brand over the course of the last 30 years. My favourite one is the G513 from Logitech with Romer G (not the Cherry MX my ones) tactile keycaps, which also comes with a palm rest.

I recently bought a Logitech G513 and so far so good, no complaints.

**Just wanted to circle back on this:** Thanks for all the feedback on the wooting vs keychron. I ended up going with a [**Keychron K2 V2**](https://redditsc.com/product/B07YB32H52?i=lzy-pvon) after seeing so many of you mention how solid the compact layout feels and how good the wireless battery is. Been using it for a while now and it's way better than my old one. No more double keystrokes or worn-out caps. Hi, I am writing this post because I am in urgent need of a new gaming keyboard. My current is the Logitech G513 one and it's been my one and only for like 3 years now. Some keys have started doing double and the most used keycaps are getting worn out. I've been reading on here and and come to a realisation to either get a [**Wooting 80HE**](https://wooting.io/wooting-80he), [**Keychron K2 V2**](https://redditsc.com/product/B07YB32H52?i=lzy-pvon), [**Logitech G PRO X TKL**](https://redditsc.com/product/B0BQBRPZ8M?i=lzy-pvon) or [**Corsair K70 PRO TKL**](https://redditsc.com/product/B0D83TJ5RB?i=lzy-pvon). I don't want a full keyboard so compact/TKL size is a must for me. My budget is $200 so I can afford each one. I thought to be loyal to logitech and get that G PRO, however I might be missing out on something better. I honestly can't wait anymore as the summer is almost here, school is over and I want to game with a new keyboard. Basically ready to pull the trigger so please help me make the final decision!

I have a Logitech brown mechanical key and it's pretty quiet. If you need absolute silence then going for a membrane keyboard might be only way but those are really mushy.
