Same, started happening after around 5 years of usage. Nothing helped even deep cleaning. Loved it till it started doing the double and sometimes missing clicking. Replaced with a G815 and I love it!

I had several issues with the G815, including on replacements they sent me. That was back when Logitech support was ridiculously good, and I used to recommend them purely for that. I got multiple free keyboards just because I'd have one key LED that wouldn't turn shades of Red. Now they're fine, but nothing special, and I've since learned about many better options.

I like it for gaming because of the G keys and the fact that it's one of the few full sized low profile keyboards on the market, but thats basically it. The keys are super pingy and unsatisfying to type on unless you add tape under the keycaps and lube the switches. I prefer my Keychron which was less than half of the price of G915.

I've had two G815. One had the back light stop working properly on half the keyboard after about six months. Got that replaced at the store I bought it from with no issues. The replacement I got has been great. Though I did think at first that it had a keycap that had started peeling after a month, but looking back on a picture I took the day I got it, it seemed like it was just a fault on that particular keycap that had been there since day one. I replaced that keycap with one I bought from ebay, and everything has been great since, with no peeling or double typing at all. Going on 3 years now. I really like the keyboard for typing, but it takes up a huge amount of space for gaming, leaving you with less mouse space. But if you're looking for a full size keyboard, it's definitely really nice if you don't end up having issues with it.

I was in the same situation as you bought the 815 and sent it back after a week because the experience was all around horrible. I now bought the corsair K70 Max. I can't speak to longevity yet obviously and it's expensive, but everything about it is miles ahead of the G815. Way better software, better RGB, better keycaps. All in all the G815 felt very cheap/low quality by comparison.

I have the g815. It's lasted me years with zero issues that I didn't cause myself. Anyone who says they have peeling caps won't admit they don't wash their hands or trim their nails.

Its a great keyboard! Highly recommend it! Tactile reds feel great to press. Its the same feel as cherry MX blues, without the sound!

Had mine for 4 years. Works great! Onenof the best keyboards I’ve had. Clean it every 3-4months with alcohol to make sure nothing sticks :-) wonder if the guys with issues did this!

Using G815 for 2 years now no issues. LOVE IT. Caps are wearing on WASD due to oil in my hands. But that is expected and will happen with anything you hammer on for 10 hours a day. I travel with it wrapped in jeans. No problems.

What a crazy coincidence. I play lots of different genres of games. Stuck on Grimdawn for now though and can't get enough. I tried a new keyboard today that has been recommended all over YouTube as a great keyboard (the Aula F75). Sending it back because I'm so used to the clicky sound of my Logitech keyboard. Wish I knew which version of the 815 I have, I think it's tactile. I love when I press down and hear the click, the way it goes with my spells (Arcanist). Trying to use the "creamy" sounding keyboard just didn't do it for me. I am not sure if there's anything else much like the G815, but still looking. I really want to get one that is customizable so I can get into keyboard modding/customization. As for a mouse, I really really need a new one. Maybe I'll swap out my old G502 for the much better one, the G502 X Plus Lightspeed Wireless.

i can't disagree with this at all, i have been using 5 logitech keyboard in the past 10 years, all of them broke just like several months after 2 years, which put me out of warranty. All the double clicking issue persist from the G413 all the way to G910 and even G815. Now i'm using K100 as well, just that my issue is that it's very sensitive and can easily triggered. so i modified some of the switches with 65gr springs

UPDATE: I went with Cherry MX browns. I know I like those the best out of everything I've tried. Hey all. I’m a big fan of Cherry MX switches, and I am thinking of getting a new keyboard. My first mechanical keyboard, a Logitech G610 Orion, had Cherry MX Browns, which I first used at home for gaming and then later took to work. I loved that keyboard as it wasn’t THAT loud but the tactile feel of the keys felt solid. When Covid hit and I worked from home, I bought myself a Logitech Orion Spectrum G910… and I promptly returned it as it was needlessly huge and I did not care for the aesthetics or the switches. Then I got a Logitech G815 with GL clicky switches. I loved the soft click but did not like the low profile keys and eventually they also developed bad wobble, so it too had to go. After that I went a completely different direction and got a Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series with the Cherry MX Speed switches. I’ve liked Corsair keyboards ever since. This keyboard was AWESOME to game on, but I found it very difficult to type accurately on. I got a new 100% work from home job back at the end of 2023 and so I got a Corsair K95 Platinum XT with Cherry MX blue switches (this is my current keyboard). I love the build quality and feel of this keyboard. It is simply awesome for working, but after having it some time, I’m finding myself pretty overstimulated by the noise when gaming on it. It’s a shame because it really is the best keyboard I’ve ever had and will last a long time and the key press to me feel so solid and true. Now I am at a point where I am thinking of replacing it for something quieter (and my wife would probably be a lot happier too). I am considering the Corsair K70 Pro RGB with either Cherry MX browns or reds. I know I liked the browns for work and gaming, but also know that I loved the linear MX speeds for gaming but found them too sensitive for work. I’m not the best typist and do tend to type heavy and bottom out my keys. Should I stick to what I know and get browns to give me that tactile resistance I like for work? Or take a chance and go with reds? Are the reds like the MX speeds in that I will find them too sensitive for work? I will add that the entire time I went through different keyboards at home, my original Logitech G610 with browns continued to serve me well for years at work until I moved jobs.

I brought a g815 that was delivered with a broken switch. I returned it and got a 915 instead. Same problem. Also read up on others getting issues with switches down the road. It is unacceptable on such expensive boards so never again Logitech. They looked really beautiful though. Today I have a keychron Q6 pro and couldnt be happier. It is not for everyone, but just perfect for me. I do really recommend hot swap though.

Used my G213 for 6 years. Extremely good keyboard despite the price/naming convention. Finally the A key accumulated too much dust and became hard to press, so I wanted to purchase a new Logitech keyboard. Switched to a G815 (because no Turkish G915, thanks Logi) and immediately the top-left G light has random dimming problems after a few months. Tapping it fixes it, or makes it worse, so it seems like a loose cable, which I could fix myself, if only Logitech didn't use explicit stickers to make sure you void your warranty on opening. Sent it to be repaired under warranty, and the only authorized Logitech repair company in my country basically told me there are no problems with the keyboard, despite photo/video proof.

My G815 has now been retired, after 5 keycaps broke. It's age was 1 yo... At the end, it also started double tapping on main keys like A, E, O I got a Keychron Q1 pro - I'm in love

The G815 / G915 product lines are known to have a few issues: * Custom Kalih Choc switches, with holes father apart, hence keycap clamps are thinner and breaks more easily. * Custom Kalih Choc switches, makes getting new keycaps a hassle * Custom Kalih Choc switches, the keycaps does not clamp onto the switches very well making them sit loose, leading to wobbly caps, that give off an annoyng sound when your fingers slide around. * Metal plate not dampened, hence bad spring ping / filco ping * Switches are prone to start double tapping quickly Having said that. I rock a White G915 TKL at home, and a G815 at the office. The latter is up for a replacement, because of a broken keycap and frequent double tapping on several keys.

If you like GHUB, then yes they are worth it. If not, there are other manufactutrers. For me software is just as important as the hardware. The G613 is a pretty old keyboard. Wireless tech has improved since then. My household is pretty much logitech. It makes it easier for setup. I have seperate setups for my laptop, gaming desktop and workstation. Kids have logitech setups as well. Same thing as video cards. AMD is better hardware, but just have the same software across all devices makes life easier for setup and failiarity. Logitech stuff is hit and miss. MY G815 had busted keycaps and double typing switches. New model addresses that. I am on my third G703 first 2 had the double clicking. I use the PRO X Linear for my workstation with G305 and those have held up for over 2 years now. The newer gear do have improved switches. Mx Anywhere 2S and K810 still working well as my portable setup

I personally love my g815. I tried to upgrade to the deathstalker v2 pro and I hate it. Ill be resting my fingers on the key and it'll just start spamming it away. Tried to replace the switches but they got lost in the mail and now they are OOS. I did have a double clicking issue with one key after a few years but I swapped it with another one (not easy if you don't know what you are doing)

I love my G815. For the price I damn well better too. It's a dream really though. I also got the G703 mouse (6 button) but my one complaint with that is I ALWAYS click the back button on accident. I like the custom Ghub stuff for the keyboard but honestly I wish it was less, where I could just tap a button on the keyboard and it goes to those settings. Seems to rely on Ghub for all that. I'd prefer it had memory because after it reverted to default the 2nd time I stopped caring and don't use it.

Ewww no. I bought one when they were being hyped up big. I used it for like a day or two then just couldn't anymore. It's basically just a crappy laptop keyboard with some fancy doodads. There are plenty of affordable wireless full-size fully-modifiable mechanical keyboards out there. Just get one of those instead of this Apple-Product-wannabe.

It was a few years ago when I got my current keyboard, so there are probably a lot more options now, but I ended up with an Akko. https://en.akkogear.com/store/keyboard/ It wasn't 100% exactly what I wanted, but it was the closest that I could afford. Years later I'm still content with my Akko, whereas I returned the Logitech KB within a few days. Logitech makes some great stuff, and the best mice on the market IMO, but I cannot comprehend why everyone loves that one keyboard. It truly felt awful to me. Edit: Akko are on Amazon too
