The main problem with keyboards is the keys total travel distance. The Logi tech G pro first gen. (linear) is 3.0mm total travel and 1.5mm actuation, every other keyboard is 3.2 to 4.2 TOTAL TRAVEL DISTANCE (even the new HE magnetic keyboards) all the keyboard companies, the only thing they need to do (instead of making expensive af keyboards) is lower the total travel distance by half or a quarter (of what it currently is), and have actuations anywhere from 0.9, 1.0, 1.2, 1.3. 1.5 actuation points, with 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0 being the total travel distance. IT SHOULD NOT be higher than 3.0 total travel................................ So, when you naturally bottom out on a keyboard, you don't need to travel up very far (like 4 mm is a deep travel distance, that should not even be a thing with gaming keyboards) So, mechanical can still be a thing if it was what I explained. Wouldn't need to make over priced keyboards.

G PRO X TKL is very awesome as well. It replaced my over 10 year old HHKB2PRO and I have nothing bad to say.

r/BattlefieldAnyone gaming on a Hall Effect / Magnetic keyboard? Is it worth it for shooters like BF, or is it mostly noticeable in shooters like CS or Valorant?

Hello there. I use the Wooting 80HE and honestly for the type of game that battlefield is you really won’t gain any advantage. Sure with rapid trigger on you’ll be able to strafe faster and you’ll 100% notice at least that for example but in a real match it won’t give ya any advantage. I’d just pass on it unless your deadset on getting one 👍. Edit: If it helps at all I used to use a Logitech g pro TKL. Between em both I’d probably keep using my Logitech unless I got into more twitch like shooters.

The Logitech G203 is a great entry-level gaming mouse with solid performance and is about £23 at Argos. I used one for years before upgrading but still keep it as a backup. For keyboard you can get the Logitech G Pro TKL for £80 at Argos so you could get both for £103 and have a pretty good time IMO. Just make sure your console supports them if that’s where you’re using them.

If this is anything like the regular Logitech G PRO TKL, I'd pass. The keycaps are SO fragile and cannot be easily replaced because of proprietary key sizes. I went through two of these before just getting a cheap Red Dragon keyboard as it seems better built.

i own both keychrons and razers. Also logitech gpro x and g915 TKL. Matter of the fact: software in keychrons has no issues and build quality is objectively better, specially in Q series of keychrons. If you want to get a keyboard and want something reliable, ready to go, well built and easily programmable, just get a keychron. Wooting/Logitech/Steelseries/Corsair/GenericComercialOrGamerBrand is just like razer level, not best in class Razer gets closer altough not there yet to best in class features in the last blackwidow v4 75% (asus also does great with Azoth boards) but the board has really low reliabilty, so not best in class at all. check out r/MechanicalKeyboards for advice, they will guide you to get something real good and it can easily be cheaper or cost the same as razer boards.

Logitech G Pro X is solid for that price range, been using mine for like 2 years with no issues. Their switches feel pretty good and the build quality is decent for the money

Well thats a good question, but you are making big leaps in logic, and i dont mean that in a bad or insulting way. Yes, buying the Mchose based on their specs, and then it being slightly different on your PC could happen, but if these are widely reviewed keyboards then it wouldnt make sense for you to be the first person on the planet to find out they are lying on their specs. My point is, if there are so many long-term reviews of them, they can probably be trusted. It going to shit in 6 months is also a probability in gaming products. My old Razer Mamba generation 1 lasted for exactly 4 months before it developed a double click issue that i had to RMA for, and then the second one also had the issue after 6 or so months. I also had a logitech G PRO keyboard whose keycaps were utterly dogshit, like actual wallmart discount bin quality, and felt mushy and unresponsive despite many pros using it. And then when i looked for keyboard-reviewers they actually highlighted the same problems i had with it. Like, Razer, Steelseries have suffered from bad quality control on and off for some years. Sometimes they release a banger, sometimes they dont. Like, i get it, many of these cheap keyboard flavor of the month brands are untested and new. But many others like wooting, keychron, varmilo, Ducky, have been around the block for a lot of time already, consistently good. I get your concern if someone recommends the YEUHR84 (made up) that just came out yesterday, but on those legacy brands? more than safe. Also you made a small sentence there of "tested in what im buying for". Unless you are thinking of a HE keyboard, gaming keyboards dont do anything superior to regular keyboards of a good quality. Perhaps in the past you could argue about latency, but check [RTINGS](https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/tools/table) review table, even for the ultra budget keyboards the latency numbers are as good or better than steelseries or razer most of the time.
