Based on 1 year's data from Mar 18, 2026 How it works
I’m not saying this is for everyone but: Swagkeys (Transition lite TKL, Eave65) kit - €60, Gateron Milky Yellow Pro x90 - €15 (BSUN KI x90 - €20 / TTC Frozen Silent - €19), Designer Studio Stabilizers - €15, any Aifei keycaps you’d like - €10-€15. Would be fully custom almost for the price of this keychron = 60+15+15+10+15=115 Also there’s an option like Tiger Lite Gaming (Hall Effect), almost any switches, everything to build the kb that matches your requirements. And on pre-built side of HE keyboards there is Melgeek with their MADE68 Pro, Real 67. It’s just my opinion as a typist (I am a developer and a CTO so I’m typing ALOT) that there is no boards on the market that would match my current requirements based on the: sound, feel, dampening, feedback, travel etc. the only way I did the best keyboard for me was my KPRepublic first built (not recommended in 2025 and outdated). And it’s the best feel in the world when I’m typing. Also it’s too heavy (60g force) so my wife gifted me 2 more keyboards: Transion Lite TKL, Eave 65 and a full sets of all accessories (BSUN KI switches for Transition, TTC Frozen Silent V2 for Eave). So I’d say that my opinion is not for all but at least you may consider something like that.
First and foremost you're comparing HE to MX. Don't. **If you are wanting a HE keyboard** maybe put the 80HE aside other HE boards and compare them that way. Software, customization, yada yada, you know what you like or want so see if they tick the boxes. HE is the new craze therefore likely to be / seem more expensive than most things. I have 80HE's, Made68's, Boog75's and misc. others. A lot of people talk about DrunkDeer boards a lot for HE. ***Personally Wooting is still #1 in my personal opinion.*** Customer service, updates, software, ease of use + a company that actually listens and cares. Yeah they missed the mark heavily with their Zinc cases and the PCR's but it was also their first time creating an alloy case and a new manufacturer. They will improve in the future. I have their White and Black Zinc cases and a few PCR cases, I have the GT-80 and there's three other cases the Bone 80, Jun80 and the AB80 that are on Aliexpress. More to come too. You can also get different plates, foam packs etc on Aliexpress too. **If you do not need HE and want a solid MX board**. Any of the DR Works, DR-70F, Flip 6P, Polygon 7 are all insanely insanely good for the price. Crush 80 Reboot Pro, even the Lite's are insanely good. You can even get a Crush 80 Beta Pro or Lite they are just as good. Rainy 75's. Neo65 CU, Neo70. Luminkey65 or LX60.
MelGeek has been around for quiet some time, I'd dare to say their boards are way better and higher quality than the others you mention. Unrelated but since you said "CringeTok advertising": anything promoted there has a big chance of being pure crap.
