"Also, a gamer with heavy fingers, I really liked how Jades Mini Pro gave me feedback while gaming — I always press down keys fully, so havinf low profile switches and keycaps did the trick to me. ... Well, I'd say that for me Jades Pro on low profile boards like Air60HE are definitely better."

"if you haven't tried low-profile, then you're definitely missing a lot. ... high-profile is objectively fatiguing based on how the hands are positioned. based on your comment, we have the same issue. ... nothing helped for me, not even wrist rest, which is why i only use low-profile exclusively. ... it is much, much more comfortable, to the point that it confuses me genuinely why people still use full-profile. ... to answer your question, go with either Nuphy Air or Lofree flow (bluetooth and wired only)..."

"NuPhy air60 HE is so nice if you like low profile keyboards ... its on par with wooting but low profile"

"I can attest that this board doesn’t choke, it’s very fast, incredibly responsive and the latency is among those 2–3 keyboards that are my main choice in this category. ... absolutely minimal latency with 8k polling/scanning rate"

"air60he notoriously vastly outperforms it for far cheaper ... it performs far better on all latency tests so far than even the 80he. ... Nuphy HE boards in general kill the competition when it comes to things like that."

"I cannot tell even the slightest difference to my human eyes in ANY game i play including Valorant, COD, fortnite, or counter strike 2, i see no latency in either board that i can tell with my eyes and hands ... both of these keyboards have facilitated that result without me knowing a difference in the latency effects."

"A high-end keyboard is never complete without strong software to reach its best performance, and the Air60HE’s case is similar. Actually, this software is not something just extra — it is main thing that makes this keyboard so powerful. ... SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions): For gamers, especially those playing fast-paced shooters like Valorant or Quake, this feature is a game-changer. SOCD enhances your strafing by allowing precise movement inputs, improving your control in-game. ... NuPhy’s software offers Rapid Shift, their equivalent of the popular Rappy Snappy feature. This feature allows for near-instantaneous key response changes, making it perfect for competitive gaming, where speed and precision are critical. ... Perhaps the most impressive gaming feature is Hyper Shift, which is NuPhy’s answer to DrunkDeer’s Rapid Dual Trigger. Hyper Shift counter-strafes your key input, making it incredibly useful for games like CS where timing your movement is crucial. Frankly, it feels almost overpowered, giving you a serious advantage by perfecting your strafing in intense combat scenarios."

"Rapid Trigger and Actuation Point customization with 0.01mm accuracy: The software allows for Rapid Trigger and Actuation Point customization with a precision of 0.01mm (RT) and 0.1 (AP), giving users unparalleled control over their key actuation points."

"I even Think the Software beats Wootility in Features and Possibilities. ... NuPhyIO is the best, only lacking analog mode which is mainly used for racing games but I prefer a Controller aniways"

"couldn't stand the loud slickly switches"

"Generally speaking, mechanical keyboards still have the upper hand when it comes to sound... ... They sound better to me, so they're less distracting, and that motivates me to use them. ... In general, I prefer mechanical keyboards for the sound. When they figure out how to make HE switches sound as good as mech switches, I'll be all over that."

"It’s a pity they couldn’t incorporate their Ghost Bar solution due to design constraints though, even though there are silicon dampeners around the space bar (but it’s not the same sound and quality as Ghost Bar)."

Nuphy Air96 v2 is not HE, but they have some HE boards. I have the Air60 and it's not bad, but I prefer full-height boards. On your Glorious board you could try swapping the switches for some Tecsee half-low-profile switches (and matching stabs), they're regular MX below the plate and LP above the plate. * https://www.amazon.com/Tecsee-Mechanical-Keyboard-Lubricated-Peripheral/dp/B0BZGV48BQ * www.amazon.com/Tecsee-Installation-Translucent-Stabilizers-Mechanical/dp/B0BZCWZB2N

Keyboards and mice are highly subjective. You can buy something like a Keychron or Redragon and these are much higher end than the vast majority of people would ever buy, but they’re more in the mid range and entry level mechanical keyboard class. Keychron are on par or a little better than many mechanical gaming keyboards from bigger brands, just for half the price and a lot less flash. But you can quickly get into the $400 or even $4000 range with keyboards. It’s a deep rabbit hole of customization with little to no “performance“ benefit over a Keychron, and in some cases may be worse. I’d say a ”high end” keyboard would be something like a Wooting 60HE or NuPhy Air60 HE are “high end” if you’re looking for gaming specific keyboards with actual benefits over a Keychron. Or something like a Das Keyboard or HHKB for high end coding / typing keyboards.

**·** The trigger and release points of general mechanical keyboards are fixed, but HE/TMR keyboard's are customizable. And currently many brands of keyboards already support 0.01 accuracy. That is to say, pressing 0.01mm further from the trigger point will input and releasing 0.01mm will stop. Relatively dynamic trigger and release points are more helpful in FPS games that require faster reactions. **·** Functionally, they're all pretty much the same. Power-wise, the TMR keyboard consumes less power. But for now, Hall keyboards have more options. So I would suggest that you can think in terms of preferred design or focus on features. I own this keyboard and I bought it with my own money. It is truly FANTASTIC in every way EXCEPT it has SOUTH FACING RGB so if you put the custom clear keycaps on, youre just constantly being blasted directly in the eyeball with RGB. Other than that, this is the perfect gaming keyboard for me. Low Profile Sounds really good actually! ( for an HE keyboard, wont beat a mechanical for sheer sound) (8000hz polling rate) even though im typing this on a Keychron HE with 1000hz polling rate and I cannot tell even the slightest difference to my human eyes in ANY game i play including Valorant, COD, fortnite, or counter strike 2, i see no latency in either board that i can tell with my eyes and hands, however, I suck at all of those games and I am not a professional player or anywhere close. I do play for fun and I do like to win, and both of these keyboards have facilitated that result without me knowing a difference in the latency effects. For reference, I can tell the difference in latency with some of my wireless mice, but with the keyboards with HE i have a REALLY hard time feeling or seeing any latency even between 8000hz polling rate and 1000 hz, but thats just me. Its a great keyboard but the south facing RGB almost ruined it for me, i replaced the stock kekey caps and i am much happier with it now but i really wish i could find low profile key caps with side mounted shine through legends!!!!!

I agree about the cherry caps. I found the typing experience not great with the stock keycaps, especially with regular Jade minis. I had a set of cherry profile caps and also some XDAs that fit very well. I also had OEM's that were hit or miss as to whether they fit right. Some will seat too deeply on the stem and smack into the mount plate prematurely. It may be a case by case basis on which cap profiles work. If you have caps that get seated too far in, just use some O-rings to prevent the stem from sinking too far in. Even though I had generally good fitting caps, I still had to do that for a few keys. I have mine with Jade Pros and XDA caps. I found the sound profile better with my XDAs. The typing experience was close between the XDA and the cherry caps, but the XDAs got the nod for slightly better sound.

Honestly, unless you're looking to dump $100+ into a keyboard, HE doesn't make sense. Cheap HE boards are just not it in terms of reliability, build quality, and software experience. The cheapest HE board I can actively recommend is something like a NuPhy Field 75 HE or Air60/75 HE. Keychron's K2 HE or K4 HE are also a steal for what they cost. But it's all preference. Generally speaking, mechanical keyboards still have the upper hand when it comes to sound, and to a degree build quality. But if you're not particular about sound, and you can handle more or less only having linear switch options, HE is fantastic for both work and play.

TMR is supposed to be the best from a technical standpoint, but I don't think anyone can actually notice a difference in accuracy... As for a combination of good features, fast response times, and good build quality, look at NuPhy, Iqunix, and Keychron/Lemokey (there's only one Lemokey keyboard with 8 kHz polling, but that's also marketing wank IMO). The only reason I hesitate to recommend a wooting to anyone is because they can't be used as "daily drivers" by a lot of people because of the lack of onboard macros.

Not really. The NuPhy keyboards will feel a little stiffer compared to the 80HE. Both will require mods to sound truly good. Just different mods. The Iqunix HE boards are pretty solid across the board aside from the software being a little less intuitive and polished. Keychron and Lemokey's wireless HE boards are all limited to 1 kHz polling, but you'll NEVER notice 1 kHz vs 8 kHz in a keyboard. There's one Lemokey board that's 8 kHz. I think the L5 HE (?) but that's also only wired lol. The biggest drawback with Keychron/Lemokey HE boards is that they're only compatible with Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic switches (and unofficially, the switches that the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE uses). So that's a downside if you wanted to try other switches. But those Gateron switches are decent. The rest (stuff like build quality, keycaps, sound, and feel) all match or surpass Wooting.

Yeahhh.... don't go for that one. Since you have that budget, I'd much rather suggest the Iqunix Magi65 (super creamy, my friend has it) or the NuPhy Air 60/75. Pretty sweet keyboards. Do you know Indian websites to get them from or would you like suggestions?

Oh yeah, it is a wonderful keyboard. My friend has the Pro version with the volume Knob and media control keys and I have typed on it. It is buttery smooth and the sound is creamy and soft to the ears. It is quite heavy though. So you won't be able to comfortably travel with it. If you were to do that, I'd suggest a NuPhy or LoFree keyboard.

Yeah for sure. It's very disheartening that I can't change the switches out on the K2. The Nuphy Air is gonna be my first low profile though, I'm nervous about it.

For 99.9% of people it doesn't matter at all. Someone may feel cooler when their keys have a certain look, typing feel, or sound, but none of it is going to have any meaningful impact on gaming regardless of what the marketing wants you to believe. The main appeal with modern keyboards is their insane levels of customization - you can get whatever you want and replace switches on a whim if you want to. If you want the flat laptop style keys I'd suggest looking into something like a Keychron K1 low profile or the Nuphy Air series and branch off from there as you figure out your preferences.

I've tried nuphy air (nope; couldn't stand the loud slickly switches and typing experience was terrible for me) so I returned it. I have and love the lofree lite. I know you're interested in the flow but I really do like the lofree keyboard; it's such a great typing experience, I changed the keycaps to the nuphy coast twilight and it made the typing experience even better, sounds extra creamy (which I love) and I liked this keyboard so much I went and ordered the 100 in a different colour.

I even Think the Software beats Wootility in Features and Possibilities. I would say: 1. NuPhyIO is the best, only lacking analog mode which is mainly used for racing games but I prefer a Controller aniways 2. Chillkey is my second place, lacking an Implementation of Rappy Snappy, Analog mode and Continious RT. (Tachyon Modes missing too, but I really don't think it's a noticeable difference) 3. Wootility comes at a close third. In looks its defenetly better than the chillkey one, but I couldnt find features like Deadzones, Macros and Hypertap which I think are more important than the things Chilkey's Software doesn't have. Personal preferance though.

MX keys mechanical is good if you want a low profile board. I tried nuphy and really wanted to like it but it wasn’t for me. Still would recommend, it was very high quality and a very nice keyboard, we just weren’t a match. My daily drivers now are a royal kludge S98 for my work computer, and their southpaw version L98 for my personal computer. The pros are it was the only mechanical southpaw I could find that was reasonably priced, cons are that it doesn’t play well with Mac’s.

For typing feel exclusively, the best is lofree flow. I am selling my Nuphy because of this despite the flaws with lofree.

I think the Bluetooth connection isn’t great. That’s the major downfall and takes a while to wake up. So I end up having it wired the entire time and that’s fine for me. I still think it’s great. If you want a better overall version except it’s not aluminum then the kickstarter lite version is the one you should get.
