yeah basically buy the module and build/mod it. least do not order their switches. thats what i did with wooting. tossed a module into a holy60 case… but i also have the BH65 by Nuphy and its phenomenal as well. even software wise at a fraction of the cost. i just swapped the switches and keycaps on the BH65 and its even my fav vs wooting. Neo Sonic HE+ cot my attention too but well i already own way too many keyboards. lol

but the BH65 comes with Jade Gaming or Pro switches so great out of box. software is def top notch in many ways equal or better. full aluminum case and if ur like me who prefers clean. u can wipe the extra info off the case with simple nail polish remover. i went jade max in the BH65 tho and frosted keycaps for better lighting with metal accent keys. so nice. $140 vs wooting.

TMR is supposed to be the best from a technical standpoint, but I don't think anyone can actually notice a difference in accuracy... As for a combination of good features, fast response times, and good build quality, look at NuPhy, Iqunix, and Keychron/Lemokey (there's only one Lemokey keyboard with 8 kHz polling, but that's also marketing wank IMO). The only reason I hesitate to recommend a wooting to anyone is because they can't be used as "daily drivers" by a lot of people because of the lack of onboard macros.

Not really. The NuPhy keyboards will feel a little stiffer compared to the 80HE. Both will require mods to sound truly good. Just different mods. The Iqunix HE boards are pretty solid across the board aside from the software being a little less intuitive and polished. Keychron and Lemokey's wireless HE boards are all limited to 1 kHz polling, but you'll NEVER notice 1 kHz vs 8 kHz in a keyboard. There's one Lemokey board that's 8 kHz. I think the L5 HE (?) but that's also only wired lol. The biggest drawback with Keychron/Lemokey HE boards is that they're only compatible with Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic switches (and unofficially, the switches that the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE uses). So that's a downside if you wanted to try other switches. But those Gateron switches are decent. The rest (stuff like build quality, keycaps, sound, and feel) all match or surpass Wooting.

I even Think the Software beats Wootility in Features and Possibilities. I would say: 1. NuPhyIO is the best, only lacking analog mode which is mainly used for racing games but I prefer a Controller aniways 2. Chillkey is my second place, lacking an Implementation of Rappy Snappy, Analog mode and Continious RT. (Tachyon Modes missing too, but I really don't think it's a noticeable difference) 3. Wootility comes at a close third. In looks its defenetly better than the chillkey one, but I couldnt find features like Deadzones, Macros and Hypertap which I think are more important than the things Chilkey's Software doesn't have. Personal preferance though.

MX keys mechanical is good if you want a low profile board. I tried nuphy and really wanted to like it but it wasn’t for me. Still would recommend, it was very high quality and a very nice keyboard, we just weren’t a match. My daily drivers now are a royal kludge S98 for my work computer, and their southpaw version L98 for my personal computer. The pros are it was the only mechanical southpaw I could find that was reasonably priced, cons are that it doesn’t play well with Mac’s.

Buy a hall effect kb instead. They are both better and quieter. I have an Mchose for work and a nuphy for gaming. Both are far better than my logitech and razer mechanicals. I tried going back and it was horrible.
