They've recently released BlackWidow V4 Low-profile line: [https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards/razer-blackwidow-v4-low-profile-hyperspeed](https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards/razer-blackwidow-v4-low-profile-hyperspeed) Maybe it's not as flat as old deathstalker v1, but it's lower than most Razer keyboards.

r/razer • Is there any new keyboards like the old razer deathstalker? I would love flat keycaps ->

Yup, but on Blackwidow V4 they'll go slightly inside, so they are not that high as Deathstalker V2.

The pro was absolute garbage double typing all the time. Got the regular one with the louder clicking and it’s great

I had a black widow key board in the past but ended up getting wet. Which is the end black widow keyboard ? More of a fan of the 100% keyboards

That’s what had happened with my keyboard it would ghost type but I had dropped water on it prior , what other brands are you looking into or you’re sticking with your black widow v4

I actually prefer the longer travel, myself, but that might be because I have fairly big hands. I'm on an old Blackwidow with green switches, and I love it. this is my second blackwidow, and I've probably had this one for at least 3 or 4 years, and I game for at least 4-5 hours almost every night. It's starting to show it's age, though, so I'm debating between another Blackwidow or a SteelSeries Apex 7 with Blue switches (similar switches to the Razer Green).

I used to have a Razor Blackwidow keyboard as well. Then I switched to Alienware. Definitely want to go with CORSAIR next, and I was thinking K100 also! Thanks for sharing your experience with it.

I like Corsair keyboards but I find razer black widow series to be better all around.

Been my goto set since sc2 released. During beta though i was using an old, and tiny ps2 keyboard that was phenomenal and i doubt any other keyboard could beat in my eyes. Look for a smaller set of keys? Youll adjust to the bw quicker than you think, but as a recommendation, also get the naga so you dont have to move your keyboard hand all that much. It’s helped me fathoms over the years

Had a Blackwidow and a Huntsman Analog Mini The Blackwidow had switch failure where a switch would not properly depress. The metal leaf contact inside the switch had shorn off, IDK how that’s even possible given the box-style switch they use, but having the metal leaf flake off and interfere with the spring is frustrating, especially since opening the damn thing to repair it is such a chore. The Huntsman’s stabilizer clips looked particularly shoddy, lots of flashing on the plastic, really finnicky to reassemble, I wasn’t confident in using it. I have a particularly heavy hand especially when gaming, I have a tendency to piano roll keys, and the stabs would not have held up if they were moulded incorrectly. When a $28 Royal Kludge bottom of the barrel mechanical keyboard has a better stabilizer than the Huntsman Mini, which is more than double the price, something is wrong.

Hey guys, maybe someone could give me a suggestion on what to get, I'm at a bit of a loss here. I have had a Razer blackwidow for many years now, but it's starting to fail me. Sadly, there is no current version with the Portuguese (Portugal) layout. I have come to get used to the green switches, so I'd probably like something similar... Any ideas?

The difference is very minimal I had my blackwidow finally give out after like 8 years and used some random ancient logitech membrane keyboard for a month before just grabbing a new keyboard

I just got one recently and am enjoying it so far compared to my razer black widow that broke only a year and a half. The linear keys feel nice and smooth to press and arent too loud but im still getting used to not having the click and the same feedback from the razer. But doesnt have switchable keys for that longevity. For long game sessions the keys arent taxing to press at all. If getting keys you like and longevity out of a keyboard is most important to you i think getting a custom keyboard is a better fit, so if a key does die you can just switch it out. But for its price point its a pretty nice keyboard If you dont wanna deal with the hassle of getting a custom one

The A key became unresponsive. It was actually the second one i got that had the same issue, but the first one lasted 4 years and one of those were during lockdown so i chalked it up heavy use. The second one broke within the two year warranty so i replaced it with the hyper x alloy. Razer sucks dont buy their stuff.

It should be covered by warranty then. Get it replaced, preferably by a new keyboard brand if you can. I've had nothing but trouble with razer products, even straight out the box I've had issues a couple of times. Honestly get a keyboard with hot swappable switches if you intend to use it for a long time or even build one yourself if you're interested in that. Either way you can replace switches as they fail and get switches that suit you best If you don't want that hassle I'm still using the hyper x keyboard above and enjoying it so far. The big plus for it is that it's so much easier to clean with a can of compressed air. The rgb looks better to me too if you're into that stuff. But saying that I've only had it for 6 months now so I still don't know the longevity of it yet. It seems like people are having issues after a couple years on average
