>razer huntsman mini this board is not hotswappable with normal mechanical switches, it uses a different tech that doesn't have any options for different switches You would have to get a entirely different board but you can just put any keycaps since it just has the + (the cross shape) stem [https://wiki.keyboard.gay/KEYCAPS.html](https://wiki.keyboard.gay/KEYCAPS.html)
I'd recommend getting a 60% if you're gonna travel with it a lot, if you're also gonna do gaming with it then you could go for a huntsman mini. It is out of your budget range but if you use checkmate it can get you a discount and maybe be closer to your budget range. If not that redragon is good, but you should go in store to find a 60% red switch keyboard, they have a lot of blue switches so just test them out before picking one up.
A keyboard I reccomend is the huntsman v2 or v2 tkl. I have the tkl version of this keyboard with linear switches and the build quality and sound is pretty good. You might wanna lube the stabilizers tho. The huntsman mini is also pretty good. If you do decide on buying any of the huntsman keyboards, always get linears because the clicky switches are horrible and arent the same as like a traditional clicky switch like razer greens.
I had both the razor huntsman and the Hyperx alloy origins 60 mechanical keyboard. The razor Huntman mini is faster, but the hyper X feels better. The hyper X has an aluminum back plate making it heavy. The razor huntsman mini feels a little bit cheaper compared to the hyper X I would get whatever is cheaper and are these prices USD? if so, they are not worth it
I just went back to my old huntsman mini after using a custom keyboard i built for awhile because of snaptap and wow it makes a huge difference in games like cs and Val
Razer huntsman mini with the purple switches and a Logitech g502 hero special edition
From what I understand, the best gaming keyboards are objectively Huntsman, specifically the new v3 pro generation, due to their switches, actuation time, etc. I personally have a Huntsman Mini (with red switches) and have had it for a year now, and I think it's fantastic; zero problems with the keyboard and the software.
i get that especially, for those os us in the usa, we are now screwed over by tariffs for things coming from outside out borders - which is how bezos wanted it and got it. I have had sooo many corsairs, razers, and logitechs that my eyes were opened by what exists out there thats NOT the big name brands with the huge marketing budget. While Razer seems to have improved quite a bit lately, they still charge too much for what you get - plastic everything. again, sadly, we are now kinda hosed by tariffs but things like the qwertykeys companies - EVOwork, Neo, and QK. Almost everything they make is incredible from top to bottom, inside and out. What I would like to know, is what people think of their new HEX80 HE keyboard. Monsgeek has great keyboards too for example... depending on size youd want, the M1 v5 via is incredible. I look behind me to see my Razer Hunstman mini behind me... and Razer seemed to be heading in the right direction but even now, their stuf is outshined by some of the brands i mentioned for the same cost, if not cheaper.
