Normally enthusiasts don't recommend gaming branded ones but Razer Hunstman V3 Pro (any variant) is different. The [Snap Tap](https://www.razer.com/technology/snap-tap-mode) is actually pretty amazing, plus the quality is a big step up from the previous models, and its cheaper for its class. With that said I recommend waiting for Wooting ones but if it is not viable for you then it's a good alternative.

Huntsman V3 Pro is really good, its only lacking point is that its not wireless for that price otherwise I 100% would have gotten it, I still just might if its on sale at some point

+1, both [Wooting Two HE](https://wooting.io/wooting-two-he) and [Razer Huntsman V3 Pro](https://www.razer.com/gb-en/gaming-keyboards/razer-huntsman-v3-pro/) are solid recommendations for gaming-focused boards. Other modern high-end full-size gaming boards I'd recommend are the SteelSeries Apex Pro (as you know!) and Corsair K70 Max. If you wanted something more focused on the typing experience and aesthetics, [Nuphy](https://nuphy.com/collections/keyboards?filter.p.m.custom.size=96%25), [Keychron](https://www.keychron.com/collections/all-keyboards?sort_by=manual&filter.p.tag=96%25+Layout&filter.p.tag=100%25+Layout) and [iQunix](https://iqunix.store/collections/f97-series) do some lovely keyboards, though I'd say that their smaller (non-numpad) keyboards are probably more interesting than their full-size ones.

Razer huntsman is fine. It's overpriced for the features list, you are mostly paying for the brand name. But it's definitely not a bad keyboard by any stretch of the imagination. My main complaint is that for the same price you could probably get a better featured Keychron, Yunzii, or Monsgeek. Features you want to look for: Double Shot Keycaps - Lots of "gaming brands"[ including Razer](https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/p2qouf/huntsman_elite_keycaps_peeling/) laser etch their keycaps, which have a much lower life expectancy. QMK/Via compatibility - This will easily allow you to set up macros and layers without needing clunky proprietary software. Razer requires you to log in to a Razer account to use those features. Hot Swap Switches - I understand you may not want to build your keyboard from scratch, and that's 100% understandable. But when a key breaks if your keyboard is hot swap you can just replace that switch. No need to send it in for repair or take the whole thing apart to solder in a new switch. It's as simple as popping the switch off and plugging in a new one.

it's good for gaming (counterstrafing) however i don't think it's worth it overall. good quality but you can get better keyboards for way cheaper and at the end of the day the snap tap isn't life changing

I'm really happy with my razer huntsman but the 60% can be annoying of the lack of arrow keys.( Leaves lots of table space tho so idk)
