"It is an analog keyboard, meaning that the user can use keys the same way a controller player uses the thumb sticks to control their movements. ... To walk slowly, you would depress the key 25% of the way down. The further you press and hold it down, the faster you will move. ... And on the Huntsman you can specify the exact parameters you want each key to register at."
"you can customize just how far a key must be depressed for the key (whatever action it is bound to in game to function. ... Well I set my actuation distance for both A and D (strafe left and right ) to just 0.04 mm, meaning I only need to push the key down almost a quarter of the way to a complete press. ... That makes it easier for me to counter strafe more effectively and with less delay."

"Razer recently released an update that included a new feature called Snap Tap, a function that makes counterstrafing (an extremely important/difficult technique used in many first person shooter games) effortless, which in turn provides the user with an advantage."
"Ladtcthing is rapid trigger. ... Rapid trigger is unique to this lineup."
"The [Snap Tap](https://www.razer.com/technology/snap-tap-mode) is actually pretty amazing"

"It is, its just not wireless. I really need/want a wireless one so that I can use it from my bed to watch things on my 4k OLED i just got. ... Probably, but the cable management on that will be a nightmare and I am not going to be using it wirelessly enough to justify going down that path."

"Yeah the V3 doesn't sound as good or as quiet."
Hi, I am an avid gamer and a work from home developer on the side from my main job. I currently use the Razer Huntsman V3 pro TKL for everything I do on PC. However recently I've had the urge to get a keyboard that's better for typing and has a num pad preferably. Does anyone have any suggestions on prebuilt keyboards or custom keyboards/kits for me? I am not well versed in the keyboard world as much as I am in software and hardware. Budget is not really a concern.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • /r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - August 12, 2025 ->Upgraded from a Razer Huntsman V3 TKL with Optical switches. Loving this so far. Paying $300+ for a Wooting keyboard is NOT worth it imo. This is a solid deal!
r/bapcsalescanada • [keyboard] CORSAIR K70 PRO TKL Hall Effect ($229-$114 = $115 ATL) [Amazon.ca] ->The keyboards from Razer are great! Unfortunately, people often do not handle their devices properly. But of course there are also exceptions such as production errors, they are just mass products and it sometimes happens that one or the other device has errors. But otherwise, as I said, the keyboards are great. I have the Huntsman v3 TKL and I’m really happy with it.
r/razer • Are razer keyboards bad or it’s just internet thing? ->I have used both of the keyboards you are considering, and can definitely say that the Wooting is the better keyboard, beyond a shadow of a doubt. In terms of technical features/performance they are so close that its hard to really choose which is better for me. But what really sets Wooting apart, for me, is the Software/WebApp being WAY better than Razer software. Its much easier to configure Wooting, set profiles, etc. And on top of that, the Wooting has significantly better Build Quality, has better warranty, and has WAY better community support on their Discord. It’s also a constantly improving and evolving system that continues getting better. To top it off, the Wooting is also way easier to customize if you’re into that sort of thing.
r/VALORANT • Keyboard Recommendations to Improve My Valorant Gameplay? ->You prolly want a Hall Effect keeb. so far, the cheapest but good bang for the buck that I actually own is the [MCHOSE Ace 60 for $45](https://www.mchose.store/products/mchose-ace-60-hall-effect-magnetic-switch-gaming-keyboard) The MCHOSE gives 90% of all the HE effects / features you want but build quality while not "cheap" is far from premium. It sucks for daily typing but above average for gaming esp FPS games. Keeb I am currently using for FPS is the [$200 Razer Huntsman V3 pro](https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Huntsman-Esports-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B0CG7BWG7J/?th=1)

Today I made some adjustments on mine. I have a Razer Humtsman Pro V3 TenKeyless. Like the wooting, you can customize just how far a key must be depressed for the key (whatever action it is bound to in game to function. I believe that 2.0 mm is the norm/default (that is fully depressed so the input will not be activated unless the key is fully pushed down completely. Well I set my actuation distance for both A and D (strafe left and right ) to just 0.04 mm, meaning I only need to push the key down almost a quarter of the way to a complete press. That makes it easier for me to counter strafe more effectively and with less delay. Is a pretty expensive keyboard but I am satisfied. If you are looking to get a good mechanical gaming keyboard I have a Corsair K65 Compact Cherry Red MX switches that I would give you for a ln insane deal if interested. It was the keyboard I used before the Huntsman. It’s an outstanding keyboard in flawless condition, has original documents/spare keys/key removal tool… and also is RGB fully customizable. In order of impact I’d say a mouse is first, and depending on a few things either monitor or keyboard can be next. I’ve put together my optimal gear combo finally after trying many different things. Razer Deathadder v3 (wired on mouse bungee dpi 400 and in game sensitivity 2.0 Keyboard is Razer Huntsman Pro v3 TKY Monitor is ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz 27” 1440P HDR Gaming Monitor (PG27AQN) - QHD (2560 x 1440), Fast IPS, 1ms, G-SYNC
r/LearnCSGO • Importance of a good keyboard ->I love my Razer keyboard. Huntsman analog pro.
r/razer • Are razer keyboards bad or it’s just internet thing? ->I recently change all my setup to Razer. Huntsman c3 pro keyboard, basilisk v3 x wirless mice and Kraken v4 wireless headset and not encounter any quality issue. All been goos so far.
r/razer • Are razer keyboards bad or it’s just internet thing? ->Best as in most expensive is the blackwidow v4 pro 75% but yeah the v4 pro is the best mechanical and the huntsman v3 pro is their best optical. Both are great keyboards
r/razer • What is razers best keyboard right now? ->I've literally just swapped out my 80HE for a Lemokey P1 HE and couldn't be happier. On paper the 80HE has better raw performance , but there's zero difference to me. I wanted one keyboard to do everything, and I hated typing on the Wooting. Not to mention the build quality is just terrible. I've also used a Razor Huntsman V3 Pro and hated the typing on that too. Steelseries Apex was pretty good, but again, just wasn't it and I hated the looks. The P1 has so far been the best all round keyboard I've ever used. Some might be better in certain areas, but they're nowhere near as well rounded. It's also the best typing feel on a HE keyboard I've ever used, and beats out 98% of mechanicals I've had.
r/keyboards • I want to buy a 75% keyboard for competitive gaming ->Technically it would be the Huntsman V3 Lineup. But there are better and cheaper hall effect keyboards out there.
r/razer • What is razers best keyboard right now? ->Nope. Blackwidow is good for mono and casual gaming huntsman v3 for competitive gaming.
r/razer • Best razer Keyboard? ->I can’t say about build quality on blackwidow. I have huntsman v3 pro from release. I say that huntsman b3 keyboards are made from aluminum can be used and setup without synapse, support actuation point from if dont mistake 0,1 to 3,5 or 4,don’t remember you can check on manual. Ladtcthing is rapid trigger. Blackwidow give you RGB wrist rest, macro row and chenchable switches. Best thing will be when you gocrqser website and compere two keyboards. For me analog switches are superior in terms of customize for specific use this golive versitale.
r/razer • Best razer Keyboard? ->Rapid trigger is unique to this lineup. This is not only difference huntsman use opto mechanical switches so the delay is not exist becose operate on light. But yeah both keyboards have own unique stuff it only depends what is most important to you.
r/razer • Best razer Keyboard? ->I had a problem with the old ones but really like the new ones. Latest ones I had were ornate v2, huntsman v3, huntsman v4 tkl and they are fantastic. Others will say the exact opposite that they had no problems with the old stuff but yes so with the new stuff.
r/razer • Are razer keyboards bad or it’s just internet thing? ->Yeah the V3 doesn't sound as good or as quiet.
r/razer • Keyboard recommendation - the most quiet out there ->Depends what you mean by best. All will have similar performance. Wooting has the best software but you can get keyboards like the MadLion for £40 which have better performance across the board. It just isn’t worth buying Wooting at the moment unless you want analog output which is only supported by Wootlity and Synapse. For 75% the K2 HE is a nice board for performance and quality sound/feel. If you only care about performance the Huntsman V3 Pro has the least dead zone space and better control over the switches in stock performance due to weight and stability. Hall sensors are extremely cheap to produce now. When Steelseries revived Hall effect PCBs were quite expensive to produce. Depends what you want honestly.
r/FortniteCompetitive • What are the best Hall effect keyboards? ->As far as I know, only razer and wooting has true analog control support for their gaming keyboards. The razer huntsman V2 analog and the entire huntsman V3 lineup has analog control support(emulating joystick movements) and Wooting's hall effect keyboard is basically also meant for analog movements. Technically speaking, I think literally every single hall effect keyboard is capable of analog movement support but the manufacturers just refuse to give the necessary drivers(software) to unlock it, which is very frustrating for me. I saw another comment saying that keychron's HE keyboards are capable of analog movements as well. So yeah, I am also looking for something that can support analog movements as I think it is not a bad thing to have.
r/keyboards • Recommend me an analog keyboard for my mostly casual gaming ->I do have a gaming PC, but I spend most of my time typing (working and studying from home), so I’m using most keys from 7-7pm. Perhaps the use-case also has something to do with the fatigue? Either way, my low-profile mechanical has been a godsend, I do like the Razer TKL, but I wish I could also get it with a similar profile instead of orange switches.
r/razer • Are razer keyboards bad or it’s just internet thing? ->completely forgot about that lmao. well in that case I would recommend OP get another decently built keyboard for typing and daily use, and use the huntsman for gaming.
r/keyboards • My Razer Huntsman Mini's keys wobble, is this normal? ->Razer huntsman is fine. It's overpriced for the features list, you are mostly paying for the brand name. But it's definitely not a bad keyboard by any stretch of the imagination. My main complaint is that for the same price you could probably get a better featured Keychron, Yunzii, or Monsgeek. Features you want to look for: Double Shot Keycaps - Lots of "gaming brands"[ including Razer](https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/p2qouf/huntsman_elite_keycaps_peeling/) laser etch their keycaps, which have a much lower life expectancy. QMK/Via compatibility - This will easily allow you to set up macros and layers without needing clunky proprietary software. Razer requires you to log in to a Razer account to use those features. Hot Swap Switches - I understand you may not want to build your keyboard from scratch, and that's 100% understandable. But when a key breaks if your keyboard is hot swap you can just replace that switch. No need to send it in for repair or take the whole thing apart to solder in a new switch. It's as simple as popping the switch off and plugging in a new one.
r/keyboards • A good mechanical keyboard for mostly gaming with that thocky sound. ->it's good for gaming (counterstrafing) however i don't think it's worth it overall. good quality but you can get better keyboards for way cheaper and at the end of the day the snap tap isn't life changing
r/keyboards • A good mechanical keyboard for mostly gaming with that thocky sound. ->Yes, huntsman keyboards have more wobbliness than other keyboards
r/keyboards • My Razer Huntsman Mini's keys wobble, is this normal? ->Hiii, i bought my huntsmann last yr december so wala pa sya 1yr pero yung isang letter iba na color ng ilaw. May idea ka ba how to fix? Yung sayo ba goods pa din ilaw?
r/PHbuildapc • what’s the best gaming keyboard? ->I would say it's their Huntsman lineup
r/razer • What is razers best keyboard right now? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
