For typing not much diff across any keyboard Tried on Lenovo T14 keyboard, Logi K380, Logi G213, Razer Huntsman V3 TKL, Keychron V6 Max, I perform similarly... Gaming wise, I would say Huntsman V3 give me better response. Not sure about keychron's offering but I recommend to go for their Hall Effects line up
Just buy it :) Synapse 4 is a good software, 3 was a mess, but now it's a really good app :) Build quality is one of the best for *gaming* keyboards, you won't notice any problems with quality. Except one thing - you may experience coil whine from lightning unfortunately. I have Huntsman V3 Pro TKL and TKL 8kHz and both pieces have coil whine from 15-20% of lightning level. At 100% coil whine is really annoying :( Some of lightning effects (Fire for example) has not so loud whine, but Static at 25% and higher coil whine is really noticeable. Typing sound of first non-8 kHz version is a bit cheap, yes, but it's a gaming keyboard, not a typing one, so main function is gaming and its perfect. Main problem with sound is a hollow case, "echo" inside it transferring to the table and here you go, cheap sounding. But it's actually not that bad, I used first version for two years and can't say it's so awful. Set actuation point higher, disable Rapid Trigger and type by the tip of a finger barely touching keys :) not bad at all. The 8 kHz version on the other hand is very good now, no "echo", pleasant strokes, a huge step from first version, but there's still some room for improvement, like plastic housing could be more soundproofed. Overall, taking into account all gaming features, Huntsman V3 Pro/8 kHz has no other competitors out there, so if you considering a purchase of Razer Huntsman V3 Pro, you should try it!
If you using red switches than you know how it feels :) I was used to play mostly on red cherry switches, but then I switched to red optical switches from ASUS - RX RED, which have the first actuation force of 40g. And after to Razer Optical Analog Gen-2, and didn't feel any of discomfort using them. Yes they are really light, you can set up actuation point when registered stroke will be when you barely touching keycap. And no actual back force from switches, yes. I think this is intentional, because it's a gaming keyboard :) I was concerning when I choose reds for the first time, but anyway you will used to it and won't feel any real difference, it's just a mechanical keyboard after all. Only if you are really sensitive to key switches than you should try it somewhere in offline stores befo buy :)

Hi, I am an avid gamer and a work from home developer on the side from my main job. I currently use the Razer Huntsman V3 pro TKL for everything I do on PC. However recently I've had the urge to get a keyboard that's better for typing and has a num pad preferably. Does anyone have any suggestions on prebuilt keyboards or custom keyboards/kits for me? I am not well versed in the keyboard world as much as I am in software and hardware. Budget is not really a concern.
Upgraded from a Razer Huntsman V3 TKL with Optical switches. Loving this so far. Paying $300+ for a Wooting keyboard is NOT worth it imo. This is a solid deal!
Is it worth switching from a Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL to a Wooting 60HE? How much of a difference would it make? Wooting just lowered their prices on the KB and I'm able to return the Huntsman as of right now, my only concern being the lack of function keys on a 60%. I do enjoy the Huntsman, however all I've been hearing about is how great the Wooting is in comparison to everything else. Any advice would be great, thanks.
The keyboards from Razer are great! Unfortunately, people often do not handle their devices properly. But of course there are also exceptions such as production errors, they are just mass products and it sometimes happens that one or the other device has errors. But otherwise, as I said, the keyboards are great. I have the Huntsman v3 TKL and I’m really happy with it.
I recently change all my setup to Razer. Huntsman c3 pro keyboard, basilisk v3 x wirless mice and Kraken v4 wireless headset and not encounter any quality issue. All been goos so far.
I like it. It is an interesting piece of tech. Feels natural for gaming. My only concerns are text typing feels weird without feedback, I slam the keys all the way down and it affects my type speed. And key springs are too tight for my taste, my finger tires from constantly pressing W i.e. I disabled rapid trigger and adjusted key press depth for that reason. About your questions. I had no problems with synapse whatsoever. You can adjust depth of press by 0.1mm single key, multiple keys, all keys in synapse. And you can see your current depth of press while pushing any button on the keyboard. You press a key to desired depth, see it on a meter, set the desired depth, really easy. Moreover you don't need synapse at all, just press Fn+Tab and you can adjust depth of press any time with a volume wheel or arrow keys, the keyboard even has integrated depth meter to try it. About build quality, I haven't found any defects. The keyboard is made of plastic with metal rim/bumper, keys are textured, leds are inside the key shafts so there is no bloom/halo around the key, just engraved letter. The palm rest that was included is kinda cheap tho, it is not leather, not even soft, just plastic. Probably to sell you their Pro rest variants. There is no sound at all if you don't smash the key all the way down. No mechanical sound, click or anything, just plastic on plastic. But as I said earlier it is difficult to type, so you will probably hit the keys to the bottom first time. The sound doesn't bother me at all, but I'm also a blue switch enthusiast, so my opinion probably doesn't matter.
Opposite experience with Synapse vs iCUE. Though both suck, but not in context of what they do. People just expect a lot more plug and play in 2025 vs troubleshooting. If dead set on Razer, Huntsman v3 is their “Hall Effect” equivalent competitor. They have several form factors too.
A lot depends on your hand size. If you have small hands, I'd recommend the Razer Cobra Hyperspeed or Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed mice. If your hands are average-sized, then the Viper V3 Pro. Of the Blackwidow V4 75% keyboards, the regular one (not the Phantom Green) is better, as the clear keycaps are too expensive. Our The Huntsman V3 Pro would be a better choice.
