yes, I did. I am reviewing it a the time of this post. Still some kinks to figure out, But, so far I am impressed. the keys are great and the size and functions are super.
r/keyboards • Anybody get their hands on a Razer Joro yet? ->ok been trying the joro for a day now and the keys definitely feel mushier and somehow harder to press than on the apple keyboard. it is also quite a bit thicker than the magic keyboard. side by side the highest point on the back of the apple keyboard coincides with the lowest point on the joro at the front. generally it just has a cheaper feel than the magic keyboard. i might try the nuphy airv3 or the keychron k1 max. i havent settled yet on my next keyboard. its a shame that there are not alot of competitors in the super slim high quality switch market. its really just apple. are you happy with the keychron?
r/keyboards • Anybody get their hands on a Razer Joro yet? ->I just got mine. The keyboard feels great. Biggest downside for me, as a Mac user, is that only the Windows keys light up, but the Mac keys don't; making the cmd & option keys difficult to locate in low light situations.
r/keyboards • Anybody get their hands on a Razer Joro yet? ->Supposedly 2.4ghz support is coming in a future update. But there's no dongle included so I'm wondering how that's going to work.
r/razer • Looking forward to reviews of the Razer Joro ->This is a much smaller and thinner keyboard than the Air 75. It's more comparable to the Vissles LP85 and the Mistel Airone, although both of those are mechanical keyboards.
r/razer • Looking forward to reviews of the Razer Joro ->I just tested the keyboard. My impression: I was a bit underwhelmed. It really feels like a budget keyboard which I wasn't expecting (note: it is Razer's cheapest wireless keyboard). The aluminum top plate didn't make it feel less cheap. The RGB lighting was not that bright (to be fair I couldn't figure out how to increase the brightness) On the plus side, the typing experience is pretty good though. It's like a bit clickier than a typical double scissor keyboard. I am a fast typist, and I enjoyed typing on this. So I think it'd be a good productivity keyboard. I was ready to walk in there and buy it, but once I played with it, I changed my mind...I wish they made it a bit nicer, and charged a bit more.
r/razer • Looking forward to reviews of the Razer Joro ->Imo the Joro is the best, it’s low profile but it’s worth it
r/razer • Keyboard recommendation - the most quiet out there ->I’m not sure about the overall percentages but I’m currently using it to run both of my laptops with the basilisk hyperspeed and basilisk mobile mice and I’m loving the functionality of the joro, the ability to switch to each laptop has been wildly fun, Amazon has a solid deal on them rn
r/razer • Keyboard recommendation - the most quiet out there ->I have it. Main two selling points for me are the fact it is cross functional for both Mac and windows (I work on and entire ecosystem is on Mac, game on windows), and it's compact, so very mobile and I can bring it with me (it replaced my magic keyboard). My biggest issue with it: the window/option key on the keyboard itself is the command key on Mac and it can't be remapped through Apple's system prefs. The alt/cmd key is supposed the Option key but again, it can't be remapped. Very confusing and it kinda of slows down my editing process (im a photographer) and I've mistakenly pressed the key multiple times. After using it for a week now, it's very handy because I can plug it into my windows machine (I'm old school, prefer wired usage) but switch over to BT and use it on my mac. Typing feels great due to the low key travel. I'm not used to having the additional pg up/dn/home/end etc buttons on the side so I am often times also hitting those keys but that's a minor inconvenience. It's also not as loud (as a former keyboard I got from a friend) which I appreciate Just an ordinary consumer review, I dont know anything about aftermarket keyboards (geared/suited towards gaming so please do not flame me for my lack of knowledge lol), but I enjoy gaming with it because when I was strictly using the laptop keyboard, I was always hunched over with bad posture as the eye level was low. The joro allows me to set the laptop on a stand and at a heightened area on my desk so that it actually is at my eye level (table height is adjustable but my seat level just doesn't play well with my desk for some reason) and the Joro basically solves that issue
r/keyboards • Anybody get their hands on a Razer Joro yet? ->Appreciate the reply, I will try it out and if it holds up I will likely buy several of them. At this point the cost doesnt matter, mechanical keyboards are awful for me and its hard to find something nice to type on. Every single mechanical keyboard has the same hard bottom and tinny impact noise of the keys going back up. Doesn't matter the switch type or what you do to them, it is a byproduct of the manner of construction. Give me mushy membrane typing any day.
r/keyboards • Anybody get their hands on a Razer Joro yet? ->So far I like the typing experience but am annoyed by the sharp corners, one keeps digging into my left palm. When I am sure I want to keep it I will grind the corner smooth with a dremmel.
r/keyboards • Anybody get their hands on a Razer Joro yet? ->the only thing I will say about this is that they're scissor switch, so basically a laptop keyboard in a shell. It's also RGB zoned rather than per key. It "seems" over priced for what it is. If you enjoy typing on a laptop keyboard then this is probably a good selection. If you want a mechanical keyboard then you want to look into something with yellows in as they are silent, the oranges are more tactile.
r/razer • Keyboard recommendation - the most quiet out there ->As an owner of multiple Razer device, I think this keyboard is a hit and miss. For 140 USD we got: \- a non-replacable scissor switch solution \- a non-replacable keycap set \- the Synapse which still mandatory if we want to fully utilize the keyboard's capabilities - why don't have a web-based version, why?! \- Bluetooth and wired connection \- long battery life Meanwhile the NuPhy Air75 v2 (the v3 version coming soon btw) for 120 USD gives us: \- 7(!) interchangeable switch types \- interchangeable keycaps \- web-based QMK/VIA support \- Bluetooth, 2.4GHz and wired connection \- little bit lesser battery life \- also you can order a NuPhy carrying case specifically for the Air, which works as a tablet stand too Unfortunately, there is no technical advantage to the Joro that would make me choose it over the Air75.
r/razer • Looking forward to reviews of the Razer Joro ->In my opinion, it is quite overpriced in terms of price-value ratio. I know, I know, we have to pay the so-called "brand tax," but regardless, this keyboard is not worth more than 99 bucks. If it breaks and is not under warranty, it can go in the trash bin and I have to buy a new one. If it is still under warranty, then the endless fight begins with the costumer service to enforce the warranty. Meanwhile, with all customizable keyboards, you can just replace the faulty component (e.g. switch) for pennies. You don't have to buy a whole new product just because you can't replace the faulty component. Mac support is a welcoming feature, props for that. Thickness is a matter of personal preference. I definitely wouldn't find it comfortable to use a keyboard this thin in the long run.
r/razer • Looking forward to reviews of the Razer Joro ->its all up to personal prefrence, in terms of laptop style keyboards the only real option is the razer joro but its not cheap and i found the activation force to be a little too high
r/buildapc • Are mechanical keyboards actually better for gaming? ->The size of the key cap is kinda small tho. It's a really well-made keyboard and easy to use if your fingers are slim enough. I found myself mistyping letters all the time during the 1st hour test. Have to return it the same day later.
r/razer • Looking forward to reviews of the Razer Joro ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
