I have the wired K585.. and i also have the wired K582 keyboard. I went to look for the software for the keyboards and found them installed them and then STUPIDLY said yes sure update the firmware on my K582.. this put both the 585 and 582 into bootloader mode. I was able to get it working with non g keys or fn keys they dont even light up :( but I'm pretty sure it flashed the 582 firmware to it and not the 585. And when I tried to use the 585 firmware flasher on it. it cannot find the hid device. I know what it was supposed to be thanks to a friend with the same device. And can confirm it now has the same pid vid rev as the keyboard :( in device manager. I feel like I need to hack the 585 firmware tool to trick it into flashing "keyboard" that is really the keypad.. by unplugging the real keyboard to be safe when I do it. but not 100% on how to do it. been a while since I was a hex editor :(

I fixed mine.. I was sitting here going well I have a new one arriving tomorrow because Redragon could not help me. I said. "What do I go to lose" . Do they (Redragon) have a keyboard with G keys on it? I go to their site. There it was the K580RGB [https://www.redragonzone.com/pages/download](https://www.redragonzone.com/pages/download) at this point I cannot remember if it was the K580 Vita where I had to add .exe to the update file in it. or the K580-Pro rgb. One acts like the 585k updater, but that is not the one that worked. It's the one all in Chinese where I had to click the bottom left one to put it into bootloader mode then the right one. it flashed and when it came back up it had all the lights on again !!!! all the G keys were on..... So I opened the K585 software and it said there was a needed update it shut off the k585 again and a popup about dont unplug while updating and an OK button. I clicked ok. it came back up, and it was all working again. That is not in their how-to-fix broke K585. I hope this helps fix it for others. On another note, I cannot say if I used the K585 or the K585-RA software I found. Too many late nights fighting it.

I'll answer myself since few people out there wanted/knew how to help me. For the help yourself series, God helps you... I got this on Amazon, it works great for now natively on Bazzite. Redragon K585 DITI One-handed Gaming RGB Mechanical Keyboard, 42 Type-C Keys, Professional Gaming Keyboard with Enhanced Hot-swappable Grip, US Layout I can play KBM from the sofa, as with the supplied cable from the PC to the TV I can easily reach it with about 2 meters of cable. I still have to try it on Batocera/ bootable USB distro and on Windows 11, but I don't think I will encounter any major difficulties, in fact I think exactly the opposite. Furthermore, in Windows I will be able to use keyboard memory management apps, assigning macro keys that will also remain in memory for other OSes. Very convenient USB passthrough on the side, to which I added a second mouse 🐭🐁 again for KBM gaming from the sofa (with FPS and RTS I can't play with the GamePad). It goes without saying that this keyboard is in addition to the one under the TV, which I basically need for login and password input.

Hey buddy Sorry to hear you’re having shoulder issues - I suffered from pretty bad hand pain so I know the constant struggle There’s a few options for split. I’ve use the corne/crkbd for a while. It’s quite good - if you’re comfortable doing a little zmk/qmk, you program a layer specifically for your game. Another option is a really ergonomic one - Kinesis 360. I use a Kinesis Advanatge 2 but I don’t think it’s good for gaming (a bit of a wide keyboard - especially if you’re having shoulder pain, I’d not recommend it for gaming as your mouse arm and keyboard arm will be separated far apart) There’s also options like moon lander and Kinesis freestyle. There’s also this if you’re looking for gaming only : Redragon K585 DITI Wired One-Handed RGB Gaming Keyboard (check it on Amazon ). It’s like $60 Good luck - hand paint / shoulder pain is the worst

I don’t have any kind of nerve impingement so I can’t say anything for sure, but I have a good amount of arthritis in my hand and wrist and have been strictly using this redragon keypad and it’s helped so much. The space bar is lower than it usually would be so you don’t have to cramp your hand bringing up your thumb pressing space. The layout makes it to where all my fingers fall naturally where they should be

I remember how I was excited when I got mine! My variant was with red switches (which I didn't like) which are better for gaming then blue switches (best typing, terrible gaming) with browns being the best middle ground between the two (that I use). Both since I am more of a single player player and I play many genre 'a of video games the DITI was simply not fit for my needs (at that time I also had a 60% keyboard). The best use for a one handed keyboard is for games like e - sport games or for somebody who has gaming laptop with a regular membrane keyboard. The DITI excelled in CSGO where I could really feel that I had some kind of advantage, and the space key is at the perfect angle for the player to use. Both after I while I soon find my self missing some keys in games that I played so I gave up on it in the end, and gifted it afterwards. USB passthrough is also really nice on the wired variant that I had. Both still to these day I think that the amount of joy it brought my was one the best moments of my life, both sadly it didn't fit my daily uses. Now I use a 65% keyboard which for my needs fulfills every role, have fun with it. 🫡

As I have said, one of those products that blows you away first time, both after some time of using you see that a 65% or 75% mechanical keyboard is all you need. I experienced the same feeling when the H key was missing when I played my first proper single - player game with this keyboard.

I have a much cheaper one, the K585 Red Dragon that I paid only like $35 for. I originally bought it for playing flight sims in VR, but found I really love the layout for 'tide games specifically. It has a big fat space key right under where your thumb rests naturally and makes 'tide games just a lot more comfortable to play.

I have the same one and I absolutely love this thing!! It is perfect for what It promises. I got Mine because I was constantly hitting my Full size keyboard when playing FPS games, so I wondered If there was a keyboard with Nothing but the keys you use in a FPS game for movement and picking things up. And there It was, seemed too good to be true but guess what, It nailed everything I wanted to be able to do and more, the extra USB port allows me to connect my fifine Mic, so my whole FPS setup is conveniently settled. Its working Flawlessly for more than 2 years Now, I got the blue switch version but I Just bought the Akko Matcha Green to put on It, I dont like the clicky sound so Much anymore. Im also thinking about changing the keycaps, at least the ones that can be changed. It is overall a Very usefull product and I dont think It gets the credit It deserves.

with time I ended up ditching the software altogether, and the only macro I use is Alt+Tab on the G1 button but I for someone that uses macros a lot the Diti can be quite a tool. The switches are fine too, I had maybe two defective ones on the keycaps I use the most in game ( W E) but I just replaced them with the spare ones and its good to go. I just not into the clicky sound on them anymore so the new Akko Switches are just to play around with the sound and all. If you ever want to change the switches be aware that you might break a few, Im realizing this now. The original ones are reeally stuck in there so they tend to break when you extract them.
