"I even washed them accidentally and still worked perfectly fine afterwards."

"Been using them for about four years working out in my gym, and cycling daily (45+ minutes on a bicycle outdoors)."

"They last absolutely forever (I know 1980s models still in daily use)"

"For the current sale price (I paid £30/$40) and with the x2 quality tip sets included, it’s a no brainer. ... The Divinus Velvet tips alone are like $20-25 and I use only them with my Fudu after trying 8-10 different types."

"literally saved thousands on takeout over the years"

"However, if you’re able to snap it up at around $40, then its bang-for-buck score would easily hit a full 5."

"mine is hotswappable ... I followed your advice and changed the switch. It works like a champ now."

"Reason I went with the 75% is because it's hot-swappable, so in case it has faulty orange switches I can replace them."

"But their BW V4 75% is a good keyboard if you want to dabble in customs with little fuss."

"it's a nice super entry lvl keyboard ... it definitely IS a nice keyboard for someone who just wants to try a mechanical keyboard for really cheap and doesn't even really know/care about switches."

"Redragon kumara is a fine mechanical keyboard, probably can't find something as cheap and nice. ... Kumara is $30 usd where i live, even less if you find a nice discount ... all the options you mention are waay over the price of Kumara where i live."

"my razer black widow that broke only a year and a half. ... The A key became unresponsive. ... It was actually the second one i got that had the same issue, but the first one lasted 4 years and one of those were during lockdown so i chalked it up heavy use. The second one broke within the two year warranty ... Razer sucks dont buy their stuff. ... I've had nothing but trouble with razer products, even straight out the box I've had issues a couple of times."

I have 2 of these - the Redragon K552 (a few years old now) and the AULA F3287 (around 9m) I thought the latter was a great deal but it stopped working a few months ago, so will avoid AULA now. The Kumara is still running well. I am not a heavy gamer though.

I know Redragon doesn’t have the best reputation among enthusiasts, mostly because their releases over the past few years weren’t great. Still, I picked up the K708 Pro for 80 bucks yesterday and...I’m genuinely impressed. It’s factory-lubed, sounds deep and thocky, has multiple foam layers, and uses a gasket mount with a nice amount of flex. The RGB is on the dimmer side and the software is okayish. The keycaps are decent for a budget gaming board though. For the sake of comparison, I have recently tried the infamous K552 with outemu red switches at a friend's house and I got to say, it's really unpleasant to type on. So overall I think Redragon keyboards have come a long way since 2020 (The whole market has, really.) and for someone coming from an optical blue switch keyboard, the difference in sound and feel is night and day. The only tiny mod I did was put some foam around the stabs wire on the pcb, it helped reduce the spacebar clack by a lot and made it deeper. The video makes it sound really loud but it's much quieter in real life. Also inb4 someone asks why not get a keychron or Aula, the offerings are limited in Egypt, especially if you're on a budget and are trying to find a keeb with a knob.

What lunatics are recommending the Redragon Kumara? Worst keyboard ever. And yes I see people recommending the Aula F75 a lot, what's so great about it?

Redragon Kumara lists for $45.00 and it's ugly AF, uses the terrible Readragon driver that's not even uinversal for theoir boards... they package a unique separate driver for each board. And on top of that it has those horrible Outemu-style sockets... I gave up trying to pull the switches on mine, it might as well have been soldered. It's comparable to the bare Keychron C2 Pro except the C2 Pro gets you QMK/VIA support for the same price. The MageGee TKL is equally crummy, but it comes in a wide variety of colors and costs $25. Kemove K87 is $5 less and has decent Kailh-style 5-pin coskets. Womier WK87 is $36, proper 5-pin Kailh-style hotswap sockets, and I am sure Womier's software is better than Redragon's. I have its smaller and a bit newer QMK-based cousin the Womier WK61 Pro and have no complaints. So, a quick browse through Amazon, and the only board I found that isn't cheaper was a Keychron, and they price their kit pretty high. And any of these are better boards for the same or less money.

It is a worse keyboard than the Dell L100 membrane boards that I used to get from Goodwill used for $3.99.

Not exaggerating in the least. The Kumara has absolutely none of the features that represent the advantages of a mechanical keyboard over a membrane, it has nasty cheap switches, they are effectively not hot swap, it is not usefully configurable, it might as well be the keyboard that comes with your Packard Bell. It came out 10 years ago it's not surprising that it's not a modern keyboard. I'm sorry if Reddragon is dumping awful keyboards on your country, but it doesn't make them any less awful

I use a redragon k552 Red switch keyboard. It's built really well for the price. But it's extremely hard to pull the switches even though they say it's a hot swappable keyboard. Ive tried with the switch puller which comes included and couldn't pull a single switch (could be a skill issue as I'm not into keyboard customisation).

Actually it's not even about customisation. One of the best things about hot swappable keyboards is that you can fix a defective key by replacing that specific switch instead of changing the whole keyboard. But I didn't face any issues with the switches so far, so for general use it should be a good value board

The k552 is a TKL (ten keyless) keyboard. It comes with arrow keys As for the battery usage, I don't think it will have any significant impact on your laptop battery life. You can even turn off the RGB if you think it's affecting your battery life

Are keyboards like AK820 Pro and F75/S75 good for gaming? I love the sound of those keyboards but not sure should I order any of them? Atm I have redragon kumara but the sound is awful.

get redragon kumara k552 you can also swap any key if it ever stops working so you dont have to buy new keyboard till the board it self has some problem going for any keyboard higher then this is waste of money as all you will get is just looks thats it if you ever want to buy a high end keyboard that worth the money is keyboards with Rapid trigger like wooting or razer

redragon should have a full size keyboard under that, they've got metal plates and the switches are hotswappable. i have had a kumara for 4 years and it's been through multiple rough flights across the country in a poorly arranged suitcase for all those years and it's still holding up nicely.

Idts you can get a high quality mech keyb and mouse here. For gaming and if you're planning on going for fps games I'd suggest the redragon kumara k552.
