Asus rog strix scope ii wireless 👌
I've been liking the Asus ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless lately. It feels sturdy, has excellent battery life, and really nice RGB lighting if not the absolute brightest. The customisable multi-control wheel is a nice touch. It has factory lubed ROG NX Snow linear switches that are very light and smooth, with minimal stem wobble. The sound profile is about as good as it gets for gamer-centred boards IMO; fairly quiet yet 'thocky'. The stabilisers are quite nice too, with the exception of a slight rattle to the spacebar that needed a little tuning. The software can be a little annoying at times. All things considered though, I'd highly recommend this one for someone that games and works, and wants a nice sound, key feel, and great features without breaking the bank. A more typing-oriented board I'd also recommend is the Aula F99 Pro. It's also a 99% board, and has incredibly light and smooth Leobog Nimbus V3 linear switches, well-tuned stabilisers, a control knob, and one of the nicest, 'thockiest' sound profiles I've heard on a keyboard. The software is kind of barebones, but it works well. This one is my go-to for long typing sessions, and it was worth every single penny of the ridiculously low £40 I paid for it. I'd call it a no-brainer, especially for the price.
I got a stelseries apex 3 for my wife. She loves how quiet it is vs my asus strix scope 2.
If you can manage to go up to $130 the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 is absolutely amazing and a killer deal right now
I’ve been using an asus strix scope II 96 wireless since sept 2023- little pricier than keychrons but I like it a lot
Well first of all it's important to ask him if he wants a wired/wireless keyboard (and mouse) and what type (100%, 75%, 65%, ect.). If you get him a keyboard make sure it's a mechanical one (membrane is cheaper but it's not suited for gaming that well) and if you don't want it to be loud as heck do not get anything with a blue switch (also ask him what typing sound he likes). I honestly cannot recommend Razer's keyboards bc they are just overpriced and not that good - I recommend you get an Asus keyboard (I personally use an Asus Rog Strix Scope II X, it's a wired 100% keyboard, I got the one with the snow switches, and I think it's pretty great for the price which is around 150/160$). The Razer gaming mouse I can recommend, I have been using the Deathadder V2 for years and it had 0 problems, I only switched because the rubber on the side was just peeling non stop (after 4/5 year of heavy use). Also I recommend you asking him to measure the lenght and with of his hand and that he looks up what grip he uses bc that determens what series is good for him (for example the Razer Deathadder series is good if he likes an ergonomic shape and bigger hands with palm grip). What I also recommend is that you don't get him a Deathadder V3 (wired/wireless) bc it has a lot of problems none of the other Deathadders have
I like the Strix Scope 2 96 wireless. Full size compact form, hot swappable, amazing switches with the NX Snows.
Honestly, I wouldn't knock it till you've at least tried it. Having the OG Extreme and Scope96 for well over a year, they are night and day. It's not simply a combination of those features that make it so great to use and type on. Even the Falcata feels in another league compared to the Scope96 in terms of feel, without even discussing features. The Scope96 is a great board within its category and price point.
i’ve always been corsair, started with a k95 platinum with mx brown switches(eventually some LEDs dimmed and i sold it), then for some reason i got a k65 mini, wasnt able to play some games with that, but then i ventured into rog, i loved scope 2 and azoth, but i missed corsair, went back to k70 pro tkl (perfect size) and i loved it (icue customization per app and lighting layers do it for me) and now the vanguard 96 pro (pretty much the same size as the k70 pro tkl but with a num pad) is like the scope ii BUT with azoth quality, the sound and feel is amazing, im just waiting for icue compatibility, no issues with the corsair web hub but it’s not as good as icue the vanguard 96 pro is exactly what i wanted in a keyboard, i remember begging for them to make something similar to the azoth/scope2 and it finally happened
I have the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless. I don´t think the extra 350 usd is worth it just to have HE switches, mini oled screen and 8k polling rate.
