I'm pretty new to the custom keyboard hobby, but had I known how much nicer a quality keyboard was to use, I would have gotten one a long time ago. These days, you can get a really nice keyboard for cheap. You don't have to go deep into custom land. Something like one of these will blow you mind how much nicer they are to type on. ;) [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPWX3WTL?ref\_=ppx\_hzsearch\_conn\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title\_3&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPWX3WTL?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1) [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBPXNY9Z?ref\_=ppx\_hzsearch\_conn\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title\_2](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBPXNY9Z?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2) [https://www.amazon.com/EPOMAKER-Mechanical-Swappable-Five-Layer-Bluetooth/dp/B0CW96HFFY](https://www.amazon.com/EPOMAKER-Mechanical-Swappable-Five-Layer-Bluetooth/dp/B0CW96HFFY) [https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R65-Mechanical/dp/B0CNP4P4X3](https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R65-Mechanical/dp/B0CNP4P4X3) Mice are a similar situation. A good Logitech mouse is a sweet thing to have! ;) \[Imgur\](https://i.imgur.com/pg7QzQ9.jpg)
for a mouse i recommend the vxe r1 and for a keyboard u can get the royal kludge rk65
Hello folks I have a RK R65 that I really like but some leds decided to stop working. It started from the top and then spread more. So I decided to open my keyboard to start investigate and find the issue. This is my first time trying to identify an issue in circuit board. So I am a bit lost. I tried to check the voltage on all the led and I got 5V on all of them. Then I move to resistance but I did not find any culprit like that. Does someone have knowledge and could help me to repair those keyboard leds. https://preview.redd.it/0yq23e696jig1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9dc941f4c08e90d5944c03b17805f5dbb369879
Thanks At least switches are still working. I though that would be a good way to learn how to repair but maybe this board is not the greatest to repair. Last time I buy something cheap.
Just keep the royal kludge since of the compwctness and sound I'd say
TKL barebones more expensive than populated boards? I have keycaps and switches that i'd like to use. Saw a post for a Royal Kludge R65 and got one recently. I love the sound and feel. However, not having the separate Function keys (consequently not having esc next to 1) is messing me up sometimes. I'm looking for a TKL barebone to use the parts i got. Cant seem to find anything that doesnt already have switches and caps. Where should i be looking? What is a good starting point?
Aula F75 is the budget king. Other great keyboards of a similar great quality are the Kisnt KN85 and Royal Kludge R65 and R75 and the iLovBee B87 and B75.
